Hi, I'm Jaci Berkopec! A self portrait of me would include a frozen pizza, caesar salad bag, and a bottle of white wine. But more importantly I am a wedding, lifestyle and adventure elopement photographer based out of NYC. Weddings and elopements are one of my passions because witnessing love and marriage is one of the most beautiful things we can witness. When shooting with me, expect to have tons of fun and lots of laughs because I like to be weird! Life is too short to be normal! I photograph all types of love.

I strive to capture humans at their happiest and feeling their most authentic true selves. I work hard at what I do & put my heart into my work. I am here to document the real, raw moments for you. I want you to look at your photos and scream "Hell yeah!" I avoid the cheesy poses and I want to capture your personality, love, family, and relationship. I direct my couples but also allow them to move freely with their partner in their own loving space. My favorite part about my job is that I get to meet couples and individuals, learn their stories and participate in their special day.

Jaci was INCREDIBLE. We found her on Zola and fell in love with her work. From start to finish she was easy to communicate with, understood our vision, and was very personable. We didn't want any pictures that were too posed or awkward, which I knew was going to be hard because I am so awkward in photos, but somehow we look amazing in every single one. We are going to treasure these photos forever and I am so thankful that we chose Jaci to be our photographer.

Where to begin? Jaci is the absolute best! Aside from her truly next level incredible talent, she's also a phenomenal human being. We hired Jaci as our wedding photographer in early 2020. When we postponed our original November 2020 wedding date, Jaci was so amazing! She helped us re-book her for our new date and we used the original date to take engagement photos. She had so many ideas & suggestions and we had a blast running around Prospect Park. It was such an amazing and joyful way to commemorate our original date. When we finally got to have our wedding in September 2021, Jaci captured our whole day so beautifully and was also just an amazing energy/presence throughout the day. She worked so beautifully with all of our vendors & was just so helpful in every way. I honestly don't know how she managed to be in every place at once! It took us weeks to go through the photos she sent. Every time we went through the album, we found a brand new gem we missed the first time. I'm pretty sure we still haven't fully discovered every bit of Jaci's magic in those photos! There are so many small moments that I wasn't around for (even the ones I was around for & couldn't remember) and I'm so incredibly grateful to have those photos. The ones of my grandmother looking at the family wedding photos we had on display & realizing that one of them is her's are so perfect that I don't even have words to describe how much they mean to me. Her uncanny ability to capture the candid moments was the reason we initially wanted Jaci to be our photographer but the posed photos are just as incredible. Every single one looks & feels so natural and genuinely captures the emotions of the moment. Jaci is really just the best! That's all there is to say. Jaci is really incredible. She's so talented, super professional and fun! It's important that you're comfortable with your photographer, especially on your wedding day. She allows you and your partner to relax, enjoy taking photos and let your true selves shine. We trusted her completely and loved having her by our side taking photos. She allows you to be yourself and still make you look incredible. In addition to making you feel great, she's so creative with locations and the photos are works of art. My partner and I didn't know we could look that good! We took photos with Jaci during COVID and while that added another layer of difficulty, Jaci didn't miss a beat. She was still able to instruct us while keeping distant and really made us feel comfortable. When we got the photos back we were so excited and honestly, surprised at how amazing they came out. Turnaround time depends on how many hours you booked with me. An easy way to look at it: Basically every hour of shooting requires 1 week of editing. For example 4 hour elopement = 4 week turnaround and so on. Engagement shoots take 4 weeks. All shoots receive a sneak peek within 12-24 hours of your session!

I know with the craziness that happened in 2020, things seem to feel very unpredictable! Typically, couples book me about 5-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Things tend to move quickly so the sooner you reach out, the better!

This is another one of those "It depends" type of questions! You can expect about 60 to 80 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Yes! Depending on the package you choose, a 2nd photographer is already included. I always recommend to couples with guest counts of 75+ to request a 2nd photographer (through me of course!) Sometimes with intimate weddings of 30 or less, 2 photographers can feel like paparazzi and be a little overwhelming.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Of course! All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful and will be in my artistic style you can see throughout my portfolio and website. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Nope! I never give out RAW image files. Part of hiring me is trust. Trust that I will keep all your images consistent in style, color, exposure, and vibe.

I use a password protected online gallery service. Your photos will be uploaded in high resolution for prints, albums, and sharing and I will send you an email with the link. You can share the link with family and friends and also download all images onto your computer. If you want help and guidance with creating a legacy album or choosing prints, send me an email!
