Hi, I'm Jaci Berkopec! A self portrait of me would include a frozen pizza, caesar salad bag, and a bottle of white wine. But more importantly I am a wedding, lifestyle and adventure elopement photographer based out of NYC. Weddings and elopements are one of my passions because witnessing love and marriage is one of the most beautiful things we can witness. When shooting with me, expect to have tons of fun and lots of laughs because I like to be weird! Life is too short to be normal! I photograph all types of love.

I strive to capture humans at their happiest and feeling their most authentic true selves. I work hard at what I do & put my heart into my work. I am here to document the real, raw moments for you. I want you to look at your photos and scream "Hell yeah!" I avoid the cheesy poses and I want to capture your personality, love, family, and relationship. I direct my couples but also allow them to move freely with their partner in their own loving space. My favorite part about my job is that I get to meet couples and individuals, learn their stories and participate in their special day.

I’m SO glad that we hired Jaci to be our photographer for our wedding. I felt that she was 100% aligned with what I wanted for the photography: minimal posing/forced moments and lots of candids of all the love and fun times. We’ve only received our preview photos so far (we just got married a couple weeks ago) but I can already tell she killed it. I’m already so happy with what we have and have been looking at them nonstop! On the day Jaci was a delight to work with and so much fun. Her and her assistant were so friendly and nice, really putting me at ease while I was freaking out. I am NOT comfortable in front of a camera but somehow in the pictures I look totally natural. They were also very much on the dance floor during the reception getting in the mix and getting those incredible pictures of people partying and celebrating that we hoped for. I remember a couple times spotting them out of the corner of my eye and just thinking “I know these are gonna be good” and they very much are! At brunch the morning after many people were remarking about how much fun the photographers were. Just good vibes and great photos all around, I would definitely recommend working with Jaci!

Our wedding was 2 days ago and we could not wait to write a review for Jaci because she was more amazing to work with than we could have possibly imagined. A few key takeaways: 1. It goes without saying if you have seen her social media, but Jaci's photos are stunning! She has an awesome vision/style, and captured our day perfectly. She also made sure to take a few specific pictures we had requested throughout the evening. 2. Jaci made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease all throughout the day. She is so much fun to be around, and added to the general atmosphere and vibe of the day. Multiple guests commented on how awesome she was (though not at all in the way of the events/dancing). 3. Jaci sent us our "sneak peek" photos the following day, and they were so thorough and already edited! Reliving the wedding the next evening was full of joy. Jaci is 100/10, and everyone would be lucky to have her capture their weddings!!!

We 1000000% recommend Jaci for any of your photography needs! She took our engagement photos and shot our wedding last weekend and she is an absolute DREAM to work with. Her confidence, poise, warmth and positivity helped us stay calm and have fun during the busy wedding day. We heard so many compliments from our loved ones who were also so impressed with her attitude and demeanor. And this is all before we saw the photos: her work is UNREAL. We are truly blown away- they are stunning, and capture the JOY and FUN and LOVE we experienced. I get emotional looking at just the sneak peek gallery because it so beautifully memorializes what it felt like on that day, and now we can share it with our grandparents who couldn't make the journey, and ourselves for decades to come. Turnaround time depends on how many hours you booked with me. An easy way to look at it: Basically every hour of shooting requires 1 week of editing. For example 4 hour elopement = 4 week turnaround and so on. Engagement shoots take 4 weeks. All shoots receive a sneak peek within 12-24 hours of your session!

I know with the craziness that happened in 2020, things seem to feel very unpredictable! Typically, couples book me about 5-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Things tend to move quickly so the sooner you reach out, the better!

This is another one of those "It depends" type of questions! You can expect about 60 to 80 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Yes! Depending on the package you choose, a 2nd photographer is already included. I always recommend to couples with guest counts of 75+ to request a 2nd photographer (through me of course!) Sometimes with intimate weddings of 30 or less, 2 photographers can feel like paparazzi and be a little overwhelming.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Of course! All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful and will be in my artistic style you can see throughout my portfolio and website. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Nope! I never give out RAW image files. Part of hiring me is trust. Trust that I will keep all your images consistent in style, color, exposure, and vibe.

I use a password protected online gallery service. Your photos will be uploaded in high resolution for prints, albums, and sharing and I will send you an email with the link. You can share the link with family and friends and also download all images onto your computer. If you want help and guidance with creating a legacy album or choosing prints, send me an email!
