About The Barnstorm

The Barnstorm

Booking Manager

The Barnstorm is an NYC-based party rock wedding band, best known for their electric and engaging dance party receptions. It's been said they're "not a real wedding band," but rather "an incredibly fun and engaging band that just happens to absolutely rock weddings!" Whether it's today's hits, top 40, hip hop, classic rock, Motown, and all things in between, The Barnstorm can do it all - putting their own spin on everything they do.

Along with providing emcee services, The Barnstorm is also ready, willing, & able to handle your ceremony music as well as cocktail hour music, if needed. Aside from their on-stage chemistry and ability to get any crowd on the dance floor, one thing that sets The Barnstorm apart is their immersive light show production. You would honestly think you're at a legit live concert at Madison Square Garden. If you want the most epic dance party wedding reception... If you want to have your family and guests on the dance floor all night long... If you want a band that's always going to go that extra mile for you... The Barnstorm is your band.

    Forever Fans of The Barnstorm

We absolutely could not recommend The Barnstorm enough! When we started our search, we were looking for a band that was going to make sure our wedding felt like a party, and The Barnstorm immediately stood out as the right band for the job. We took a leap and booked them before seeing them live (these guys are popular) and couldn't have felt more vindicated when we finally got to see them play. From our first outreach Brooks was very responsive and was able to answer any questions we had, streamlining the booking and planning portion. For the day of we had The Barnstorm cover our ceremony with a violinist and cocktail hour with a Jazz Trio which was a beautiful backdrop for the moment. Leading into the ceremony, JR (who handled emcee'ing duties) came out and made sure we were prepped for the big entrance and did a wonderful job steering the night through all of the speeches and dances. The Barnstorm had each of the songs for our dances prepared and on point which made the moments feel so special. Once the party got going, the dance floor was rocking for the rest of the night! The Barnstorm played hits from Sabrina Carpenter to Bruce Springsteen, keeping everyone from every generation engaged. Their crowd interaction created so many fun moments and made it feel like they were having as much fun playing as we were dancing and singing along. The band also has an unbelievable light and production setup (and crew) which really took the performance to the next level. We also had The Barnstorm provide a DJ for our afterparty, which was a perfect way to keep the party going! Overall, The Barnstorm somehow managed to exceed our already very high expectations. We have received so many compliments on the entertainment, which as they say is one of the elements of a wedding your guests will always remember! We can’t thank you guys enough for helping make our wedding night so perfect, and can’t wait to see you perform again!

    Best band ever!

If I could give one piece of advice to any couple planning their wedding, it would be this: if you're having a band, make sure it's The Barnstorm. They don't just provide music—they turn the entire night into a party. The band is incredibly talented, fun, communicative, and truly unique. Their repertoire spans a wide range of genres and styles, ensuring there's something for everyone. Our guests, from the youngest to the oldest, were absolutely blown away, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Brooks and the entire team were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. They learned several songs at our request, JR did an outstanding job emceeing the evening, and their photographer captured moments we'll cherish forever. We genuinely feel that The Barnstorm made our wedding an 11/10 experience for us and our guests. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

    Beyond Every Expectation!!!!

If I could give The Barnstorm Band more than five stars, I would! They performed at our wedding on June 14 at The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the elegant and heartfelt ceremony music to the last song of the night, they were phenomenal. The dance floor was packed from the moment they started playing until the very end of the reception. They have an incredible ability to read the crowd, keep the energy high, and seamlessly transition between songs to keep everyone engaged and having the time of their lives. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the band was and how much fun they had dancing all night. What truly set The Barnstorm Band apart was their willingness to make our wedding feel uniquely ours. We are huge fans of Phish and Goose, and they actually learned songs specifically for our wedding. Not only did they learn them, but they absolutely nailed them! It was such a special and personal touch that meant the world to us and made the celebration even more memorable. Beyond their musical talent, they were professional, responsive, easy to work with, and clearly passionate about what they do. They brought sophistication when the moment called for it and then turned the reception into an unforgettable party. If you want a band that will wow your guests, keep the dance floor packed, and create memories that last a lifetime, book The Barnstorm Band immediately. They were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

Amazing to work with, incredible to listen to!

I had the pleasure of working with Barnstorm at a recent wedding, and they were incredible from start to finish. As a planner and coordinator, I truly appreciated their professionalism, clear communication, and how easy they were to work with throughout the entire process. When it came time to perform, they completely exceeded expectations. Their talent is outstanding, the energy was unmatched, and they kept the dance floor packed all night long. Even during shorter sets, they had guests rushing back to the dance floor. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend them to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding band.

As a novelty, boutique, one-band operation, The Barnstorm plays only ~20 or so weddings per year (vs the 50+ weddings most other wedding bands play). We do this in order to better serve our clients with a higher degree of "attention to detail" - an attention to detail you 100% will not get with any other band. Our online reviews speak to this - many times citing The Barnstorm as best their vendor.
There are 9 core band members - 4 male vocalists/party-throwers up front (2 of whom are guitarists), 1 female vocalist, drums, bass, keys, & saxophone. Upon request, we are able to add an additional 2x horns (trumpet + trombone) and/or an electric violinist.
We play everything under the sun. We'll go from Stevie Wonder to Miley Cyrus to Temptations to Justin Timberlake to Bruce Springsteen to The Killers to Journey to Jay Z. If it gets the crowd dancing, then it's our style.
We have more than a decade's worth of education on "how to read a crowd." That means not just knowing how to KEEP an already eager crowd on the dance floor, but also what song it will take to get old Uncle Jimmy out of his chair and ONTO the dance floor. And let's be honest... it's hard for someone to feel self conscious when they see a bunch of grown adults acting a fool on stage, right?
We think we clean up pretty nicely for our wedding clients. We typically wear black dress pants, white button down shirts, and matching dinner jackets. Check out our Instagram (@TheBarnstorm) for a good idea of what we look like at weddings. Of course, if you have a theme that you'd like the band to participate in, we will make those accommodations.
We play up to 3 hours of LIVE music. If you're thinking, "Wait a minute, my reception is 5 hours long." Don't worry! Most receptions we play are 4-5 hours long. HOWEVER, we are not playing the entire time. Having LIVE music during dinner creates a bit of confusion - "Should we be eating?? Or should we be dancing??" etc. We work with you and your coordinator to ensure we build the perfect timeline for your day.
We are based in NYC, & thus we typically play all over the Tri-State Region - NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut, etc.. We are also positioned to fly anywhere in the world to make your destination wedding one to remember. We've played weddings in other countries such as Greece, Ireland, and even Italy (TWICE!). Simply put, if travel expenses are covered, we'll play on the Moon!
We have a huge laundry list of songs that we can pull from in a moment's notice, but we try to NOT play from a setlist at weddings, as we try to stay as nimble as possible and have the agility to play to the dance floor at all times. On this same note, we DO provide our clients with our Master Song List so they can peruse, note some "MUST PLAYS," and more importantly, some "MUST NOT PLAYS."
Yes! We'll work hand-in-hand with you and your wedding coordinator to ensure we're "corralling" your guests and hitting all the important notes - introducing the couple & wedding party, announcing speeches/toasts, cake cutting, sparkler send-off, etc.
Typically ~20. We don't spread ourselves too thin so we can provide our clients with the most unique experience for their big day. We treat each and every wedding as if it's our own.
Yes! We play monthly showcases and encourage couples and their friends/family to come and see what The Barnstorm is all about. We do "let loose" more as it's at a bar and we have to walk the fine line of "rockin' bar band to get the crowd drinking" vs "buttoned-up wedding band." Either way, The Barnstorm's periodic showcases are a raucous good time and we suggest that you neatly press your party pants.
Absolutely. If you have any songs that are special to you, and we don't currently play them (we're thinking your first dance and parent dance songs), we'll learn them for you - no problem. We just ask that you let us know with at least a few weeks' notice so we can learn and rehearse them.
Yes! This is an area The Barnstorm shines (literally). We have a 5-man production team our state of the art Sound and Lighting Rig. We've invested heavily in this area in order to bring the absolute best product to our clients. Just like weddings, no two VENUES are alike, and it's through that lens for which we design the production at each gig. Check out our Instagram or YouTube for examples of this, or reach out if you'd like to see additional examples.
No. Simply put, some venues allow it, and some don't. We don't require a stage, but we will say that it does add a nice element of "live concert" to the reception.
In order to put a hard hold on a date, we require a signed contract and a 20% deposit. The 80% balance is not due until the week of the wedding.
