Hi, I’m Dan Ross — a NYC-based DJ with over a decade of experience bringing unforgettable energy to weddings, private events, and dance floors across the city. From your first dance to your final send-off, I’ll work with you to craft a soundtrack that feels like you — blending hip-hop, pop, reggaeton, R&B, afrobeats, house, and more to keep the energy flowing and the dance floor full. I got my start in NYC’s nightlife scene, holding down residencies at bars and clubs across the city. That foundation sharpened my ability to read a room, keep a crowd moving, and adapt to any vibe — all of which I bring into every wedding and private event I play. Outside of live gigs, I’m a Senior Producer on the DJ Mix team at Apple Music, where I collaborate with world-class DJs to shape global programming. That work fuels my passion for discovering new sounds and sharing them in ways that bring people together.

    The music made the night

    We got married at the James Burden Mansion and Dan absolutely crushed it. From cocktail hour through the last song, the music felt thoughtful, fun, and completely dialed into the room. Nothing felt forced or overly “wedding” — just an incredible atmosphere all night. Dan was also super professional and easy to work with leading up to the wedding, which made everything feel way less stressful. Multiple guests asked for his info before the night was even over. Couldn’t recommend him more!

    The vibe was perfect

    We got married at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and music was honestly one of the things we cared about most going into the wedding. We wanted the night to feel like us — good energy, no cheesy wedding DJ moments, and a packed dance floor. Dan completely nailed it. He somehow found the perfect balance between playing songs everyone loved and still making the night feel personal and intentional. The transitions were so smooth and the energy just kept building naturally throughout the night. At one point I looked around and literally every one of our friends was dancing. Also just a genuinely great person to work with. Super easygoing, responsive, and clearly cares about making the night special instead of just showing up and pressing play. Multiple people asked us for his info before the wedding was even over. Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.

    The Best DJ!

    Dan was truly amazing from start to finish. We wanted our wedding to feel fun, personal, and high energy without ever feeling cheesy, and he absolutely understood the assignment. The music was perfect all night and the dance floor stayed packed. What we appreciated most was how easy he was to work with. He was organized, communicative, and brought such a calm, positive energy throughout the entire process. It honestly felt like having a friend there running the music instead of just a vendor.     Book Dan!!

    Living in Brooklyn, we’ve been to a lot of weddings, parties, and events, so finding the right DJ felt really important to us. The second we spoke with Dan, we knew he was different. He didn’t just talk about playlists or logistics — he really wanted to understand who we are, what we love, and how we wanted people to feel throughout the night. Honestly, hiring Dan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He brought such an incredible energy while still making everything feel effortless and natural. The music felt completely personalized to us, and he absolutely nailed the balance between classics, newer music, and songs that kept every generation on the dance floor together. One of my favorite moments from the night was looking around and seeing all of our friends dancing together nonstop. People who “never dance” were out there for hours.
