    BEST BAND EVER

    We hired GFA for our wedding at Flagstaff House in Boulder and they completely exceeded our expectations. From the first song, the dance floor was packed and it stayed that way all night — we've had so many guests tell us afterward that it was the best wedding band they've ever heard. They read the room perfectly, kept the energy high without ever feeling forced, and were incredibly professional from load-in to the last song. If you're on the fence about splurging on a live band instead of a DJ, don't hesitate — GFA made our reception unforgettable. Worth every penny.

    GFA IS A MUST BOOK!!!

    GFA was INCREDIBLE!! We hired them to perform at our wedding in Vail and were truly one of the greatest highlights from our day. The set list was amazing, they kept the dance floor packed all night, and our guests still can’t stop talking about how fantastic the band was. From the beginning, the team was so communicative and easy to work with- we loved the way they built our set list using our taste of music, while still allowing us to be surprised on the day. The musicians are each amazing and so versatile, and they did such a great job keeping the party going and the crowd engaged! My husband is a musician and surprised me by playing two songs at the reception- the GFA team was so helpful in coordinating this surprise and bringing his vision to life. We truly couldn’t imagine our day without GFA. They are an absolute must book!!!

    The Best Part Of Our Wedding!

    From the moment we first reached out to Great Family Artists, we knew we were in good hands. Their communication style was incredibly kind, helpful, responsive, and informative throughout the entire planning process. On the day of our wedding, their performance was truly top notch - they are, without a doubt, the best there is, delivering perfection from start to finish. Out of every detail of our special day, we received the most compliments on the band. It was so important to us that people enjoyed themselves and GFA made that possible. They kept the energy high from the moment guests arrived to the second they left, and everything felt personal, special, and really intentional.     The BEST

    GFA truly exceeded expectations for our wedding in March 2025! The entire team (Jonathan, Taylor, Bryan) was incredibly professional and made the music planning and logistics process fun and easy, plus the musicians absolutely delivered for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and a 10-piece band for the reception. They were able to accommodate any and all musical requests from our side in advance and everyone had the best time on the dance floor! Great reviews from all our guests.

    AMAZING!

    Bryan and Taylor are the ultimate professionals. From the minute we held our first call with Bryan we knew we'd have a solid timeline and the best team. He is focused on logistics and you really want this for your big day. Taylor the music director was so fun to work with during the planning phase. And he was our MC and guitarist! The 6 piece band crushed it. All our guests were raving about how they were able to cover the most difficult songs to cover and sounded amazing. We had the best time dancing all night!

Our ensembles are totally customizable. Our most popular band sizes are typically between Six (6) to fourteen (14) people – Vocalists, Bass, Drums, Guitars, Keyboards, Horn Sections. We can easily add or subtract members to any ensemble based off musical preferences and overall budget. String and jazz ensembles can be added to any sized event.
Our typical quote is for a 5-hour event. This includes a 1 x 30-minute “mini” set and 2 x 60-90 minutes “dance sets”. Please note that we require an additional 3-4 hours window prior to the start of the event for load-in, sound check and general set-up needs (time depending on size and scope of the event). There will be speeches and other formalities, but you will find this is the perfect amount of time to have the band playing. Please know that we are always flexible to your needs. The timeline outlined above is our recommendation, but anything can be customized to your plan!
Yes, but we do require the stage/ performance area to be completely covered and shaded. Additionally, we require a flat, hard, dry surface to play on. Also, heat can damage instruments. Please keep all these details in mind when placing your band and have a backup plan- just in case!
We don’t require a stage to perform, but it is highly recommended! The stage should be approximately 8×12 feet for a 3-4-piece band, 12×16 for a 5-8-piece band, and 12×24 for a 9-14-piece band. Ask our logistics coordinator if you still have additional questions.
Yes! We direct the musical performances for every aspect of your wedding. Would you like classical music for your ceremony? A jazz set for your cocktail hour? You will speak to your assigned Musical Director about all of the specific details and special requests so we can achieve your vision!
Our Musical Directors (MD) work directly with the clients to learn about their unique tastes in music and coordinate all the details with the band. Our MDs combine your personal preferences with their years of performance experience, to deliver an unforgettable night of music for you and your guests. Your MD will guide you step-by-step through the entire musical curation process for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
Absolutely! Our dynamic performers will also act as the MCs for the entire event. Your guests will never miss an announcement, speech or toast. Our MCs always keep the room energy peaked and your audiences fully engaged.
Our services include premium sound and lighting design for your wedding. You can expect state of the art audio equipment and our experienced technicians on-site for your entire event. Our sound engineers and lighting directors have decades of experience and have worked in all types of environments. We will provide all the microphones, speakers and all other sound amplification needed for your event.
DJ service between sets is always free–we want to make sure the room is still buzzing when the band isn’t playing. If you like, you can bring your own iPod for these breaks with a specific playlist, or, if you prefer, just leave it up to us. We always bring an iPod with a selection of appropriate background music and, during dinner, the room is typically too noisy for the band to be playing, anyway–we want your guests to be able to enjoy their conversations!
Absolutely! All special requests must be provided to the musical director no later than 30 days prior to your event. That will ensure that our band has adequate time to learn and rehearse your songs.
You can request different styles in our online planning system depending on the formality of your event.
Great Family Artists carries full liability insurance. We will provide a copy of our COI (Certificate of Insurance) to your venue upon execution of the performance agreement if requested.
