The most PERFECT venue we could have ever imagined
When my husband and I initially came across The Skylark during our search, we were nervous that there were so few reviews, especially compared to the more “popular” venues in NYC. We took a chance and never looked back. The first factor in choosing The Skylark was the location. Most of our wedding guests were from out of state, and its convenient Midtown location made travel to/from LGA and securing hotel accommodations incredibly easy. The second was the venue itself. Our vision was an intimate and swanky wedding, so we wanted to be intentional about a guest experience that would echo the spirit that is NYC. Our biggest must-have was high-quality food. We chose a seated reception with an appetizer, entrée, and butlered desserts. The beautiful plating made it feel like an upscale dinner, and nearly five months later, our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was, especially the hors d’oeuvres. Kudos to Abigail Kirsch catering! We also wanted a picturesque backdrop, and we were able to use the outdoor patio (available April–November). The golden-hour views of TS and the ESB from the rooftop made for gorgeous photos. Most services included in the wedding package were kept in-house. In addition to cocktail hour and dinner, the package included an open bar, furniture, tableware, and linens. We also paid an additional fee to host our ceremony there, and the staff did a great job flipping the space within the scheduled timeframe. The third factor was The Skylark team. We could not have asked for a better group of professionals. They went above and beyond, from thoughtful touches in the bridal and groom’s suites (charcuterie boards and iced drinks to keep everyone fed and hydrated) to the elegant presentation of hors d’oeuvres and celebratory to-go gift bags. We also greatly appreciated the care with which our personal belongings were packed at the end of the night. None of these details went unnoticed, and we received so many compliments on the food, venue, service, and overall experience. Special shout-outs to LeighAnne, Candace, and Kaybri. LeighAnne was our main point of contact during the initial booking process and was such a blessing. She consistently responded to emails within 24 hours, which was especially important as we planned from out of state. Candace and Kaybri became our main contacts during the planning phase, and their support, expertise, and flexibility made the entire experience seamless. They accommodated requests, such as moving our rehearsal to the day before and extending venue access time. Our final planning session with Candace was two weeks prior, and she reassured us that everything would go well and all we needed to do was enjoy the moment. On the day of, Candace and Kaybri were a well-oiled machine. My husband and I were blown away by how smoothly everything ran according to our timeline, and are still convinced there were no hiccups—that’s how perfect it went. It is incredible how amazing they are at their jobs, and anyone can tell they genuinely love what they do. Additionally, I cannot recall the name of the attendant in my bridal suite, but she was an absolute angel. She fixed my headpiece for photos, helped me use the bathroom in my dress, and checked on me throughout the night. From the bottom of our hearts, my husband and I are forever grateful to The Skylark team for bringing our vision to life. We would absolutely host another event here and cannot wait to come back!

Everything we could have asked for & more
Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

Beautiful space and incredible food
We had a beautiful wedding at The Skylark. The staff was professional, the food was amazing and the space is stunning. It was nice to have all food and drinks, table settings, etc all in one venue. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
