    A vendor's take on Lavandula Strings

    As a fellow vendor, I could see the tremendous care that Joy puts into the overall wedding experience. What people don't see are the invisible extra steps she does to make sure the music and presentation were aligned with the couple's vision. They have an extensive music library, and the ensemble is truly top-notch. Their musicians are friendly and professional. They know exactly when to change songs or start/stop the music perfectly. I highly recommend Lavandula Strings for any couple looking for exceptional live music for their wedding day.

    Incredible experience from start to finish

    We absolutely loved working with Lavandula Strings. Joy was amazing! So kind, quick to respond, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. She helped us pick the right music and made the whole process so easy! The quartet sounded incredible. So many of our guests told us afterward how beautiful the music was and were asking us where we found them! You can really tell they’re professional musicians who love what they do.

    Unforgettable & beautiful music

    We booked Lavandula Strings for our wedding in Central Park, and they were incredible. The music was beyond beautiful. We still get chills thinking about that moment. If you’re debating whether to have live music, do it. Lavandula Strings was so worth it and made our day feel like something out of a movie.

    Everything we hoped for and more!

    They played at our Manhattan rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour and sounded absolutely amazing!! So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was. They were also super easy and professional to work with throughout the whole process. Totally worth the money (and then some!). We’re so glad we found them! Highly recommend!

Absolutely! If there's a song that's not in our existing library, we're happy to create a custom arrangement for your event. There’s a small fee per new song to cover the time it takes to arrange and rehearse, but we love helping you bring your favorite music to life in a way that feels personal and unforgettable.
Our default attire is all black, which is elegant and versatile for most events. If you have a specific look or color palette in mind, feel free to let us know during booking—we’re happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible!

Yes! We provide live music for both wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours—and often both. Whether you’re looking for a romantic processional or a lively, elegant atmosphere for your cocktail hour, we’ll help you create the perfect musical backdrop with a customized ensemble and setlist.
Think Bridgerton meets your favorite playlist. We specialize in string covers of pop, indie, R&B, and film music, along with timeless classical repertoire. Our style is elegant, emotional, and tailored to fit the tone of your celebration—whether you're going for romantic, modern, or a mix of both.
We typically arrive 1 hour–45 minutes before the performance start time to set up, tune, and coordinate with your planner or venue. If you have a more complex setup or need us there earlier, just let us know—we’re happy to adjust as needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
We keep things simple! All we need from the venue is: + Armless chairs for each musician (1 per player) + A shaded or covered area if the event is outdoors (e.g., 10x10 tent or 2 umbrellas) + Easy access to the performance space for setup If you’re unsure about any of these details, we’re happy to coordinate with your planner or venue directly to make sure everything is in place.
