Hi there! We're the team behind Duet Photography & Video. We're a collection of wedding photographers, filmmakers, designers, and editors. We each have our own story of how we've come to be a part of this incredibly field of wedding journalism. As individual as we are, we're all bound by the same love for our craft – the artistry of blending documentary journalism with stunning, creative vision. With over a thousand weddings under our collective belts, we've photographed and filmed weddings of every shape and size imaginable. We can't wait to document your wedding as well!

Duet's been documenting love stories since 2005, so long ago that we used to shoot videos on actual film! Now we use the most modern equipment to create stunning work, but our focus on photojournalism and storytelling has remained the same. Our mission is to deliver works that aren't just beautiful visually, but jaw dropping emotionally.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with the Duet team! From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive, answering all our questions and putting us at ease. My husband and I initially felt a little awkward in front of the camera, but Mike and his team gave us the perfect amount of direction to help us relax and enjoy the moment. They followed our photo list perfectly, while also pivoting seamlessly whenever we wanted an extra shot or when last-minute changes came up, like moving first look photos from the park to the hotel courtyard when it rained (which still turned out stunning, you would have never known!). My bridal party and family absolutely loved working with them, and once the party started, they blended into the background, capturing the most beautiful candid moments without us even realizing they were there. One of my absolute favorites was the set of night photos we decided to do last minute—they came out magical. The entire team was professional, kind, and beyond talented. I’m in love with both our photos and the video—they perfectly capture the joy of the day. I was very picky when it came to photographers, researching extensively through Instagram and BOLI fb group before finding them. Their use of natural lighting makes every photo look breathtaking, and after seeing their work, I knew I had to have them for my wedding. Mike, Hanel, and the whole team exceeded every expectation. We will treasure these memories forever!

My husband and I could not be happier about our experience with Duet Photography & Video! We got married this past May 2025 at The Vineyards at Aquebogue, and we were looking for a photographer that would capture all the beautiful details of our day at a reasonable price. From our first conversation, I felt that Hanel and his team had the expertise and photography style we were looking for. They were very flexible and responsive throughout the planning process. By wedding day I was completely at ease that they would get every shot and capture the overall atmosphere of our day. Now having gotten our pictures back, we can confidently say Duet did not disappoint! Every photo brings us back to all our beautiful moments as if we were re-living them again. The highlight video kept us smiling from beginning to end. They were also great in guiding us on how to adjust our positioning in certain photos that highlighted the little details that so much effort was put into. I would highly recommend Duet Photography to any couple looking for the best of the best for their special day!

Duet was a great addition to our wedding!! Hanel was super easy to speak with and very responsive throughout the wedding planning process. For our wedding day, we had Hanel and Mike! I was a little nervous with the rain on our wedding day, but they were both so accommodating and made us feel so comfortable. My family and friends had such great things to say about them! The pictures are beautiful and we were so happy we went with Duet! I would definitely recommend them!
