Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

At the heart of my work, I centers m clients’ truest selves and intentions for their special days. I try to connect genuinely with all of my clients so we can make images that are true to you. Having photographed over 175 weddings, I know that having real conversations not only helps us get on the same page, but also let’s me give you the best experience possible — plus all the pretty pictures. You won’t worry about being in front of the camera because you’ll connect with the person behind it. I work with socially conscious, vivacious, creative people who believe in feminism, that love is love, and that Black Lives Matter.

    House of Yes Extravaganza

    Choosing Justin as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions my wife and I made for our wedding. He went above and beyond to make sure that not only us as the ones getting married felt loved and cared for, but that our family and friends felt this same love and care. Justin took meticulous care throughout the entire process to get to know us as humans. This made us feel astronomically more comfortable as our big day neared closer and closer. The best way I can end this review is by saying that the pictures look STUNNING and VIBRANT and provide a story of my wife and I's love and community! If you can book Justin, DO NOT HESITATE!

    Great Photographer!

    We can’t recommend Justin enough for wedding photography. He was an absolute joy to work with and was incredibly thorough about what we wanted from the day and what the vibes of our wedding would be. We had multiple meetings with Justin leading up to the wedding both in person and over Zoom where we got to know each other and discuss plans for the day. He was both ready to implement the shots that we wanted at certain locations and used his expertise to make sure we had additional framing and backgrounds. He shoots in both digital and film, and his work in both formats is exceptional. We loved that he wanted to incorporate personal stories and inside jokes with the family members and friends that were in the photos. It made everyone feel comfortable and we were smiling and laughing the whole time. He absolutely captured the spirit and heart of the day and we would book him again in a heartbeat if we needed any more professional photos.

    Who knew we could look this good

    Justin was incredible from start to finish. He had every detail of our wedding down, was consistently a joy to work/communicate with and gave us photos that we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. Cannot recommend him enough!

    Affirming, fun and stunning

    Choosing Justin as the photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! He took time to really get to know us so that we were as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. When unexpected things happened on the day of, they didn’t bat an eye and made sure we still got all of the shots we wanted. Justin is so thorough, kind, affirming, and fun, and the pictures turned out amazingly. 1000/10 would hire again 3.

I do! Which is helpful because I'm a klutz! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Folks serious about wedding photography book anywhere from 3 to 18 months ahead of their date. With the wedding boom happening, I have very weird availability, but it never hurts to ask! I don't like to book more than 18 months ahead, but am always happy to chat. I definitely encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if we're close to the big day because I always find openings in my schedule
I edit everything that I send off to you! The high resolution digital files you get will be retouched for white balance, exposure, blemishes and style to ensure they look gorgeous and authentic to the big day. Also I'm always happy to take a look at select images again if there's a different direction you'd like me to take with any.
Nope -- only still photography, but I highly recommend you check out Mae B Films, Weddings by Elizabeth Mealey, Kamp Weddings, and Love More Films.
My turnaround time varies a bit by the season, but I always get a teaser batch of images to you within four business days of the shoot! Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-10 weeks after your wedding.
I love shooting with a second shooter and have a team of professional photographers who I've worked with for years if you select to include that in your package. Usually, I recommend a second shooter if you have a super busy wedding day or over 165 guests.
