Botanical Design Studio

Absūna is a botanical design studio specializing in the artful creation of abstract, contemporary designs through the curation of unique flora and plant life. We aren’t your average rose and hydrangea florist. At Absūna, no two designs are the same, each portraying its own bespoke collection of florals and botanicals.

With designs that are a little bit unusual and architectural, we strive to incorporate unique ingredients and design elements that embody colors and feelings that speak to you and evoke curiosity. We are always on the hunt for the most unique plants and botanicals to feature in our designs and we find that combining floral ingredients in a way that is abstract and non-traditional provides for the most spirited designs.

You want a non-traditional wedding full of intentional details. It’s not in our wheelhouse to copy designs that have been done many times before. We work best with couples who fully trust the artistry of our designs and experience. If you’re drawn to the abstract and unusual, and want your florals to display that, you are definitely in the right place. We encourage our clients to think outside of Pinterest and trust that we will deliver bespoke pieces that are entirely unique. Because of this, we thrive when given creative freedom over our designs.
For weddings over 75 people, our clients can expect an investment starting at $12k or more based on wedding scope. Each event requires a custom estimate that we create for you after an initial consultation/ project conception.
We typically start booking couples about 6-9 months in advance, but the most important thing is having a few details figured out before the flowers! For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Will you have round or long tables? We do require your date and venue to be set in stone before our consultations.
Yes! We are happy to also supply the candlelight/glassware amongst other rentals. Custom colored candlelight can often be the icing on the cake!
Absūna is based in Providence, Rhode Island and primarily services locations throughout New England. We also love to travel and will happily take on events in other destinations, feel free to ask us! (We currently offer travel to Nashville at a discounted rate)
Our designs have a botanical edge- think orchids, rare plants, foraged vines and the like. We tend to shy away from the standard florals used in weddings such as roses and hydrangeas, and aim to source unique florals and botanicals that evoke curiosity! Often implementing Ikebana techniques in our designs, we find that combining floral ingredients in a way that is abstract and non-traditional provides for the most spirited designs. Artful and unusual are 2 words that folks often use to describe us!
