With eight years of experience and 100+ weddings documented, our work blends documentary storytelling with an editorial eye for couples who want honest, cinematic, emotionally rich imagery.

Couples work with us because we move through the day quietly, attentively, and as one connected photo and film team. We build trust early so you can stop performing and stay present. We notice the small things, nervous hands, family dynamics, the sound of the room, and the laughter after the vows, then preserve them with calm direction when needed and restraint when the moment should simply unfold.

    Exceptional wedding photos

    Hevesi Journal was the perfect photography team for our wedding day. They really took the time to get to know us as a couple and know our style, and delivered! Their communication was informative and proactive. Their personalities put everyone at ease and make you feel comfortable behind the camera. Katie was going above and beyond to help me on my wedding day whenever the opportunity arose. I am so glad I went with them for such an important moment. I have so much joy looking at our wedding photos and seeing our day recorded with such beauty and reverence.

    Awesome!

    Working with Hevesi Journal was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their communication style was reassuring, empathetic, flexible, and understanding throughout the entire process. The quality of Katie's work was truly unique, lovely, and creative - they captured all the important moments and understood the vibe of our wedding day perfectly. Katie even traveled all the way from Georgia to Vermont to join us, which we really appreciated. We are thrilled with how the photos came out. Katie has a unique style that we adored from the start. We aren't people who really love having our pictures taken and Katie was understanding of that, while also making sure we got what we wanted (even though we might not have understood that ourselves.) We highly recommend Katie to any couple seeking a talented, personable photographer for their big day.

    Absolutely Phenomenal!

    Katie and David were a dream team for our May 2024 Wedding! They were one of our favorite vendors! We met with Katie almost 1.5 years prior to our wedding and were immediately put at ease and booked right away. We chose a 10 hour, 2 photographer package to make sure that we had all our bases covered - and we are SO happy that we did. From our engagement session in April 2023 to our wedding in May 2024, Katie and David made us feel so comfortable, confident and relaxed. Katie made sure we had all the shots we wanted and was so understanding and flexible with varying family dynamics, self-confidence worries, etc. She kept everything on track, in conjunction with our coordinator, and really made everything so fun and effortless! We received our sneak peeks 2-3 days after the wedding and they were STUNNING! We cannot wait to see the full gallery!! The day-of the wedding, we were worried it was going to storm and Katie came prepared with alternative options and photos that would have embraced the rain in all it's glory - really putting us at ease. Luckily, the weather cleared up and we were back to Plan A - but we know that she would have made the best of the situation! We could not recommend Katie enough and feel so lucky to be one of her wedding couples! We would re-book her in a heartbeat! We cannot thank them enough for giving us our memories to last a lifetime!!

    Beautiful Photos with Ease

    I looked through several different groups when attempting to find the best photographer for our wedding and Hevesi Journal made it easy to choose them. We mainly interacted with Katie, who was professional and calming and funny throughout every encounter. We did our engagement photos with her as well as our wedding photos and both sets turned out better than I could have imagined. Getting photographs that really showed the essence of us as a couple was one of the more important things we had hoped for when planning the wedding and this goal was certainly achieved. For our engagement photos, Katie followed us up a mountain and during the wedding she made sure that all of our desired groupings (for example, my father and his siblings) were captured with ease. I would 100% use their services again and if I have anything that needs documenting in the future will not be hesitating to reach out.

Typically, couples book me about 9-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Yup! We have an amazing group of photographers who fill in and capture wedding days just as we would. This helps us serve more couples while keeping the highest quality experience. We will let you know who will be capturing your day and help ease the process. No worries, nothing changes except for the face you see on your day.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I will edit out anything that will fade within a week (a scratch or blemish), but leave your natural beauty as is
YES! Our own wedding regret is not having a videographer (I didn't know about it when we got married). We offer a full range of videography coverage to seamlessly compliment photography, giving you a full experience.
My turnaround time varies by season. We provide a full sneak peak (10-20 images) within 3 days of your day, and a full gallery within 8 weeks of your wedding. For videography, we offer a social media highlight within 2 weeks, and full highlight and documentary films within 4 months.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In my 6 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted associates. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
We waive additional fees for NYC and ATL, but request coverage of flights and 2 nights at a hotel for other destinations. It's a flat rate fee dependent on location and time of year, once we know your location and date, we will give you a flat rate quote.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Yup! As of 2025, all our packages include a second shooter! We believe an extra set of hands on a wedding day is never a bad idea.
Yes! David is the videographer around here, and we do pretty much everything together. Married for over 7 years, we understand the importance of capturing the little moments and working together to make your day and documentation experience truly perfect! We also offer special packages when you book both of us!
