I'm Samantha Crawford, owner and lead photographer of All Occasion Photography, based in Syracuse, NY. With over 15 years of photography experience, I specialize in wedding photography, blending classic portraiture with photojournalism to capture genuine emotions, candid moments, meaningful details, and timeless portraits. My approach focuses on creating authentic images that tell the story of your wedding day, from the big moments to the little details you never want to forget. I also photograph engagements, families, seniors, and special events. I photograph weddings throughout Syracuse, Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks, the Thousand Islands, and beyond.

I believe great photography starts with building a connection and understanding what matters most to each couple. I take the time to get to know you both, answer your questions, and help with planning so you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. On your wedding day, I offer gentle guidance when needed while leaving room for genuine, spontaneous moments to unfold naturally. My goal is to make photography feel relaxed and personal, allowing you to enjoy your day while knowing the meaningful moments and little details are being captured with care.

My approach combines candid storytelling with classic portraits. I capture genuine emotions and natural interactions as they unfold, while also making time for posed portraits, group photos, and important details. I want you to enjoy your celebration without feeling like you're spending the entire time in front of a camera, creating a collection of authentic, timeless images you'll cherish for years to come.
Please submit your photography request on our contact page. A signed agreement and a retainer is required to book your session. For weddings, the retainer is $500 and interest free payment plans are available to split remaining balance into manageable payments. I accept PayPal, Square, all major credit cards, checks, money orders and cash.
On average, we capture between 75-100 photos per hour of coverage, and deliver 30-50 photos per hour. Images determined to be substandard or duplicated will be edited out. All images will be edited for correct color tone, straightened, sharpened and prepared in high resolution JPEG for both web and print.
Absolutely! I welcome your ideas, inspiration photos, and requests for important group portraits or special moments you'd like captured. Before your event, we'll discuss your priorities so I can plan accordingly and understand what's most important to you. While I don't follow a rigid, shot-by-shot list throughout an event, I use my experience and photojournalistic approach to capture genuine moments as they naturally unfold.
I'm your primary photographer, but I also work with trusted photographers, including Mary and Kimberly, who may be available to assist as second shooters or photograph events when I'm unavailable. I would still take care of you before and after your wedding as planned.
Yes, I carry 2 Canon bodies, 8 lenses, 2 external flash units, and many extra memory cards and batteries.
With over 15 years of experience and more than 280 weddings photographed, I bring experience, preparation, and a personal approach to every client I work with. I understand that every wedding, event, and portrait session has its own priorities, and I take the time to understand what matters most to you. Thoughtful planning is an important part of my process, and I believe great photography is about providing a dependable, personalized experience and creating images that have lasting meaning.
I archive all sessions for at least 5 years online via SmugMug and on 2 external hard drives.
Your final images will be delivered within eight weeks of your event or session in high-resolution JPEG format, without watermarks.
Yes, you can print your photographs anywhere you'd like and for added convenience, you can visit my gallery after your session to purchase prints, wall art and photo gifts via SmugMug if you choose to do so.
