I'm Matthew, a wedding photographer based in Garrison, NY. With a decade as a wedding photographer and 15 years as an educator, I bring two things to every wedding: the ability to document moments as they happen, and the calm to handle whatever the day brings. I prepare carefully, communicate beforehand, and stay present when it's busy. My style is mostly documentary. I blend into the wedding, observing and documenting moments as they happen rather than staging them. Feedback I hear most often is that couples weren't aware of me, but that I got everything. I work with all couples and celebrate every kind of love, and every kind of marriage.
I know the Hudson Valley well. I've photographed at venues from The Garrison to The Ruins at Sassafras, and I bring first-hand knowledge of each venue to the planning process. I work across the Hudson Valley, Westchester, and NYC. Every collection is customized around your vision for your day. I bring a second photographer to every full-day wedding. Couples describe their galleries as emotional, full of energy, and a true reflection of how their day actually felt. Families feel at ease in front of the camera. That experience, from your personalized timeline before the day to the final gallery delivery, is what I work toward with every couple.

You Found Your Wedding Photographer!
We are so grateful we booked Matthew for our wedding photography. His thoughtfulness, professionalism, and organization were exactly what we were looking for. His eye for scenery and lighting also really set him apart. Throughout our wedding journey, his thoughtful planning helped set a timeline for our big day. He listened to what we wanted, and his personalized schedule allowed for plenty of time with our guests while also composing beautiful shots. On the day of the wedding, he made us feel comfortable just being ourselves and blended seamlessly into the background when needed. Wonderful Photographer and Team!
Matthew is phenomenal! From the moment we booked him to getting our wedding photos, Matthew has been enthusiastic and professional! He provided many resources leading up to the wedding as well as scheduled phone calls to discuss our vision. His photography/videography team was fun to work with, open to ideas, patient yet effective with families, and in all the right places at all the right times! As the couple, we didn't get to see everything that happened throughout the day, however many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed watching Matthew and his team capture all the magic without being overly "present." Matthew listened when I mentioned my "good side," making deliberate efforts to capture more shots on that side. He routinely offered to give me a break or bring me water when I had been standing in poses for a long time, and his team helped me with my dress countless times. Also I can tell from my husband's photos that Matthew's team was doing a great job of getting natural smiles out of a man who insists on smiling awkwardly for photos. We now recommend Matthew any time we hear of someone needing a photographer. Thank you!
