Our 2008 marriage ceremony was the best I’ve ever attended (I may be biased). My partner and I created a humorous and meaningful service that fit us perfectly. I want to be able to do the same for you. I am a social worker who is good at highlighting relationships and connections. I’m an attentive listener, and I promise you won’t feel like you’re in a therapy session when we work together. Unless you totally love therapy, in which case, sure, I’ll use my therapist voice. Social workers aren’t usually associated with humor, but I assure you, I am hilarious. I'm also calm, organized, thoughtful & fun.
As a wedding officiant who specializes in personalized ceremonies, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. I take the time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple: your story, your values, and your vision for your ceremony. Together, we create a ceremony that feels authentic and heartfelt, with a dash of humor. I help you bring your personal touches to life seamlessly and significantly. My process is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of who you are, ensuring that your ceremony is genuinely you. When people leave your ceremony, I want them to say, “That was so them!”

The Perfect Ceremony
Choosing Josie Bloom as our officiant was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From our first conversation, she had a calming presence and asked thoughtful questions to really understand our story and what we wanted our ceremony to represent. Josie was professional without being stiff—she brought warmth and humor to our planning process while still honoring how important and sacred this moment was for us. What stood out most was how genuinely invested she was in helping us blend our families and celebrate our love.
