Our 2008 marriage ceremony was the best I’ve ever attended (I may be biased). My partner and I created a humorous and meaningful service that fit us perfectly. I want to be able to do the same for you. I am a social worker who is good at highlighting relationships and connections. I’m an attentive listener, and I promise you won’t feel like you’re in a therapy session when we work together. Unless you totally love therapy, in which case, sure, I’ll use my therapist voice. Social workers aren’t usually associated with humor, but I assure you, I am hilarious. I'm also calm, organized, thoughtful & fun.
As a wedding officiant who specializes in personalized ceremonies, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. I take the time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple: your story, your values, and your vision for your ceremony. Together, we create a ceremony that feels authentic and heartfelt, with a dash of humor. I help you bring your personal touches to life seamlessly and significantly. My process is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of who you are, ensuring that your ceremony is genuinely you. When people leave your ceremony, I want them to say, “That was so them!”

We felt at ease from our first conversation with Josie. She stayed in touch throughout our planning process, checking in with us so we never had to wonder about next steps or chase her down for updates. On our wedding day, Josie's calm presence made all the difference; she had this way of settling our nerves right when we needed it most. Her experience showed in how thoughtfully she handled our ceremony, and her kindness created such a warm atmosphere. Josie Bloom was truly one of the most important and unforgettable parts of our day. From the moment we first connected, she brought such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to the entire process. She took the time to really get to know us, our story, our personalities, and what mattered most, so that our ceremony felt completely personal and meaningful. When the day came, she delivered a ceremony that was absolutely perfect. It was heartfelt, beautifully written, and struck the ideal balance of emotion, sincerity, and lightness. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd, but there was also so much laughter, it felt like us in every way. Her presence was calm and grounding, which made such a difference in those emotional moments. She guided everything seamlessly and made us feel completely at ease. Wonderful to work with!
Josie officiated our wedding in August 2024 and we can’t recommend her enough! She was very personable from the first call, and the ceremony she wrote for us captured our personality and relationship perfectly - humorous, but with our relationship on full display. We had multiple people come up to us telling us it was one of the best ceremonies they’ve experienced! She also handled the paperwork side of things swiftly and easily. Look no further than Josie!

Loved Josie as our officiant!
Josie was amazing from the moment we met her up until our wedding. She was super thorough & clear about how she went about getting to know us/ our story and she did a phenomenal job at our wedding. Our guests praised her & we got so many compliments on her delivery. I’ve been to a lot of wedding where the ceremony feels long winded and rehearsed & I was so nervous about my own wedding being that way, but Josie was the complete opposite, she was funny & sincere and did a great job at being a mixture of both and adding her own flare to the ceremony as well. I’d recommend her to anyone, thank you Josie!
