Hi, I'm Navid! I officiate weddings throughout NYC and NYS, crafting ceremonies that sound like you — your relationship, your humor, the story that brought you here. I take the time to really get to know each couple I work with, because your ceremony should never feel like it was pulled off a shelf. Whatever traditions matter to you — any culture, a blend, or none at all — I love weaving them into the ceremony itself. My goal is to set the scene that celebrate your love. I hope we get to work together!

I speak English, French, Spanish, and Farsi, and I'm happy to incorporate any of them into your ceremony — whether that's a single line for a family member, a bilingual reading, or a fully bilingual script.

Best for couples who just want it made legal, simply and beautifully. Best for courthouse-style moments, or those wanting a separate legal signing ahead of a religious/cultural ceremony.

The Intimate Ceremony

Description

Best for small weddings, elopements, and couples who want something warm and simple without a fully custom script.

The Signature Ceremony

Description

Best for couples who want a ceremony that sounds like them — their story, their humor, their history. Built from the ground up, from scratch.

Best for couples weaving complex cultural or family traditions into their ceremony, who need in-person rehearsal support and coordination, or anyone who wants the most hands-on, complete experience from start to finish.

    This guy was born to do this

    Navid is a master host of moments. He has an innate ability to wrap a whole room in his arms and lift everyone up, making an occasional feel special, contained, and a bit sublime. He can enter a stranger’s house for a celebration and give a toast that perfectly captures the sentiment in the room, at just the right moment, making people laugh, cry, and feel united. It came as no surprise when we learned he had begun to officiate weddings. Navid is a leader, a storyteller, an anchor, a tender confidant, and a true friend. In each of these, he shines.     We didn’t know a ceremony could feel like this

    Navid completely changed what we thought a ceremony could be. He has a rare ability to take the arc of two people’s lives and shape it into a narrative that feels both intimate and universal, moving guests from laughter to tears and back again. Every word felt deliberate, well-crafted, and earned, nothing generic or recited on autopilot. What set him apart was the depth he brought to it. This wasn’t a ceremony that skimmed the surface with a few jokes and a quick pronouncement; it was thoughtful, layered, and emotionally resonant, the kind of storytelling that makes a room go quiet and lean in. Standing there, we felt like we were watching a real story unfold, not sitting through a formality. He also has a real talent for setting the tone in the room and putting people at ease. Any tension or nerves in the lead-up to the ceremony dissolved once he took over; his calm, steady presence made the whole experience feel easy and unforced. If you want an officiant who treats the ceremony as a craft, not a checklist, Navid is exceptional at what he does.

    A Truly Thoughtful and Professional Officiant!

    Navid is such a thoughtful and genuine person and we have always loved how much care he puts into everything he creates.     A Truly Thoughtful and Creative Storyteller

    Cannot recommend Navid enough!

    With full trust in Navid, he met our every expectation as he shone as a public speaker, diligently took on preparation, and with very little guidance from us, prepared a heartfelt and personal speech in the style we requested. What I appreciated most about working with Navid was his self-sufficiency. In an otherwise stressful time where we were time-limited, he understood the assignment without needing our constant input, which is not often the case with wedding vendors. At our rehearsal, Navid took charge, used humor to diffuse stressful dynamics, asked important questions we had not even thought of, and even saved the wedding on the day-of by making sure our rings made it to the altar. I cannot recommend Navid enough!

Yes. I'm ordained through the American Marriage Ministries and hold lifetime registered officiant status with the NYC City Clerk, so your ceremony is fully legal in New York City and New York State. If you want to work with me out of NYS, let's chat and see what we can do!
My home base is NYC, and I officiate throughout New York State. If your wedding is out of state, reach out — I'm happy to discuss travel and whether I'm able to register in that state ahead of time.
Completely. Outside of the Essential package, every ceremony is written specifically for you, based on real conversations about your relationship, your story, and how you want the day to feel. Nothing is pulled from a template.
Yes. Whatever traditions matter to you — any culture, a blend of several, or none at all — I work to understand them and weave them into the ceremony itself. I have particular fluency with Persian traditions like the Sofreh Aghd.
Yes — I'm fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Farsi, and I'm happy to incorporate any of them into your ceremony, from a single line to a fully bilingual script.
That's exactly what the Essential package is for — a brief, no-frills meeting to make things official, with no custom script involved.
As soon as you know your date, ideally. Popular dates and busy seasons fill up, and packages that include a fully custom script need time for consultations and revisions. If your wedding is under 8 weeks away, I can still often help — a rush booking fee may apply.
It depends on your package — anywhere from one consultation call to two meetings plus rehearsal attendance. You'll always have a chance to review and revise your ceremony script before the big day (although I will always try to convince you to keep it a surprise!)
Rehearsal attendance is included in select packages, and available as an add-on for any tier.

Many couples choose to have their legal paperwork handled separately, then celebrate with a ceremony that's fully about the moment itself, without having to worry about paperwork and license signing! I'll work with you to build a ceremony that reflects your relationship and story, exactly the way you'd want it, whether or not it's the legal event.
