Formed by DJ Matty Stuart in 2005, MD Music and Entertainment is a boutique DJ company with a focus on wedding entertainment. We spend a LOT of time getting to know our clients to ensure that each music set is as personalized as possible. We never want to play the same set over and over. We LOVE music and we got into this business to play amazing music for amazing people. We also believe that Love is Love and have proudly DJed many weddings and events for the LGBTQIA community for over 15 years.

Matt Berman is a dynamic and highly skilled alto & tenor saxophonist whose exceptional talent consistently elevates both recorded tracks and live performances to remarkable heights. A proud graduate of The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in New York City, he had the privilege of studying under legendary musicians such as Reggie Workman, Roy Hargrove, and Bernard Purdie, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience. Throughout his career, Matt has achieved numerous highlights, including touring extensively with Brandon Flowers (The Killers) during The Desired Effect World Tour and performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues.

The Brooklyn Beats is the inaugural event/wedding band founded by music industry veteran, Jon Shiffman. Jon is best known for his live work as a drummer for Grammy winner Jack Antonoff in the bands Steel Train and Bleachers. He has toured all over the world and his drumming can be heard on various National TV Commercials, and is featured in the 2024 release of Paramount Pictures’ Mean Girls movie. Since even before leaving the touring life in 2015, Jon has been a fixture in the New York private event/wedding band scene and has been a drummer, band leader, talent booker and event producer for the biggest agencies and bands in the area.

Members of the JMCP all have classically-trained backgrounds from the top music conservatories in the world including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Yale University, etc. Each of our musicians have 20+ years of performing experience under their belt so you don't have to do any of the heavy lifting.
