45 Riots is a band, boutique live music entertainment company, and independent record label based in NYC. 45 Riots provides hand-crafted, energized live-music ensembles for high-end private parties and gala corporate affairs. Founded in late 2011 in New York City, 45 Riots has grown to perform 150 events per year in addition to maintaining a busy NYC nightclub schedule (*pre-COVID) and backing up renowned music artists in concert. Our mission is to offer clients a sincere live-music onstage performance, bringing a genuine NYC concert experience to private events with jam-packed dance floors from start to finish.

    Top Takeaway: Hire them! Hire them! Hire them! Prep Process: We loved working with Manny and Angelica throughout our preparation process – they completely heard us in our likes, dislikes, desires, vibes, must-plays. We needed a band that would play music that spoke to both of our families’ tastes, sensibilities, and cultural reference points, and they more than delivered. They selected the perfect musicians and vocalists to thread the needle on Motown, classic rock, R&B, soul, funk, and “Songbird” to boot. Christine McVie’s spirit was conjured in that ballroom. Investment & Value: “Whatever you’re paying this band, it’s not enough,” my uncle said at our wedding. Every person – Every! Single! Person! – came up to us and gushed about how simply unmatched 45 Riots is. You want a song? Any song? They can do that song. They can do that song better than the original. One of my best friends works in the wedding industry – he did 28 weddings in the 2025 season – and he said 45 Riots is the best band, hands down, he’s ever heard. Friends asked if 45 Riots gave concerts, because we would all go. We would’ve danced for four more hours if they let us. Creative & Execution: You’ve never seen a band song list so long. We could’ve had five wedding receptions with the number of songs we wanted to hear. Tell them what you want, sure, but seriously, trust the professionals! Whatever they come up with will be better than anything you could’ve dreamed of. Our 11-piece band played nonstop, flowing from one song right into the next, running mash-ups that got the crowd going crazy. Have you ever done a Soul Train into a Hora into Boots on the Ground? Well, 45 Riots has, and it ruled. They completely fed off of our crowd – they built synergy with us that ratcheted up throughout the night. Our only regret is that it had to end!

    We had heard 45 Riots at a few other weddings so we knew of their talent! We had multiple people tell us during and after the wedding that it was the best band they've seen at a wedding. Each version of the songs we all knew were special (enhanced by the horn and rhythm sections, and 3 singers' amazing voices but different styles). In addition to it being some of the most fun live music, we found the experience to be quite personalized. We had specific segments of songs they played for intros, they were able to perform Amy Winehouse's cover of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow with timing that completely matched our practiced first dance, and they absolutely nailed the final song Crazy In Love (in the style of the live Beyonce version). Cannot say enough amazing things about 45 riots.

    We loved 45 Riots! Our guests couldn’t stop raving—they were such a hit! The vocals and musicality were outstanding, and they nailed all of our must-plays perfectly. The moment they performed as I walked down the aisle was incredibly special and something I’ll treasure forever. I know there was a lot of coordination behind the scenes, and we couldn’t have done it without the team’s dedication to making our day perfect. The engineers were fantastic, ensuring everything was set for my sisters and I to perform our special number—it went off without a hitch! The ceremony music was phenomenal. They took the time to learn specially orchestrated pieces just for us, making each moment feel truly unique and personal. For the party, they flawlessly performed so many of the songs we had requested, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. I’m so grateful to the musicians for their incredible talent and effort—it truly made the day unforgettable. Seriously, 10/10.

    We first saw 45R perform at a wedding in 2019 and knew we would need them at our wedding. 5 years later, and they were still perfection. Wildly talented, perfectly professional. They made our wedding a spectacular success. Still sore from dancing the night away!
