What It Looks Like When the DJ Gets It

Music has always been my way of connecting with people. I’ve spent years DJing weddings and private events where the right song changes the whole room. I love working with couples who care about how their night feels and want their guests to feel included and alive in the moment. I do this because there is nothing better than seeing a room full of people celebrating together to music that feels like it was made for them.

I do more than just show up and play songs. I take the time to learn what feels right for you and your guests so the night has its own flow. I work with your planner and vendors so everything runs smooth without you having to think about it. When the party starts I am in it with you, dancing behind the booth, singing along, and reading the room so every shift in energy feels natural and keeps people on the floor.

Peter was amazing and kept the dancing going all night at our wedding. We had a wild mix of people and we worked with Peter to make sure that everyone got some of their favorite songs while never stopping the energy in the crowd as we transitioned genres. Peter was a great energy and people talked about how much fun they had dancing and specifically mentioned how great the DJ was. Highly recommend Peter!
A dance floor that couldn't quit!

On our wedding night, we envisioned a full dance floor no one wanted to leave, and DJ Peter Piper delivered exactly that. We're the second in our friend group to hire him and definitely not the last. When my Grandpa had a heart attack the week of the wedding and couldn't attend, Peter outfitted his tech so we could call them in for the blessing over our meal. It was a small gesture but he went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. When people talk about our wedding, they mention the energy of the dance floor first. He took all our notes, read the vibes of the room perfectly, and the crowd went wild. Peter is the premiere choice in NYC if you want your dance floor to feel like your favorite night at the club with bop after bop.

There's nothing a DJ could have done to do a better job than Peter did for my wedding. His playlists were exactly what we wanted. His feel for the night was perfect. He is endlessly amenable, and also technically excellent as far as audio design for different rooms. Cannot recommend any more. Sidenote: I hadn't met the man before my wife got the DJ rec - this ain't a friend review, I just want talent and hard work recognized.

Peter was wonderful to work with and made us comfortable and instilled confidence from the start. He immediately picked up on our vibe and was super easy to talk to and plan with. On the day, he did a perfect job - from the ceremony to the reception, he matched the energy that we needed. Our friends wouldn’t leave the dance floor, and he even managed to get ALL of the grandparents and some grumpy family members laughing and dancing. 10000/10 would recommend and wondering what other events we could book him for.
