While continuing to work in the television & movie industry for several decades, I ventured into photography. My career focused on the moving image but my heart sought the individual moments, the individual frames. The perspectives were the same; to better understand how light and shadows help tell a story and define a moment. This is now a pursuit to help you document your priceless moments & story.

Larry went above & beyond to capture the best day of our lives. Besides being timely and professional, he was so kind. He put us at ease and kept the process of taking pictures fun, even when my dress became uncomfortable later in the day. Our wedding guests loved Larry and he got such beautiful candid shots of them. I look at his pictures and I still get a little teary!

Steph Smith Photo
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I started learning photography in my high school's darkroom. I was there so much, they gave me my own key so I could come in on weekends. In the mid-aughts, I brought my art kid sensibilities to Brooklyn, and here’s been home ever since. In true New York fashion, I’ve had many jobs— but photography's been my full-time focus for more than a decade. Just me, a concerning number of cameras, and my cat. I'm going to take photos anyway, so some of them should really be of you. While I duly rely on the miracle that is digital, I remain grounded in the discipline of analog. I love incorporating film photography for my clients wherever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Natura Collective
Rating: 5.0 (12 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over TEN years (wowee). I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

As two people who are not very comfortable in front of a camera, we knew immediately that we were in good hands with Christian & Emilio. They made our engagement shoot incredibly fun, giving us just enough direction and encouragement that we felt natural and not posed or awkward, making an hour seem like 20 minutes. And our wedding?? They truly took it to the next level!! Throughout the weekend, they were so positive, energetic and somehow always around at the perfect moment. They got every shot we asked for and took candids that I will truly treasure for the rest of my life. The only thing more amazing than their photos are the people taking them️ 12/10 recommend!!

Karen Seifert Photography
Rating: 5.0 (9 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

We knew from the beginning that our event was going to have some unique challenges. Outdoors in winter at sunset. Karen came prepared. She had scouted out the venue and knew exactly how to maximize the potential. She saw places we would never have thought to use. Her skill took the challenge of low lighting and turned it into an asset. The photos from start to finish are exquisite. "You look like celebrities!" and "Magical!" are just a few of the compliments we've received. From pre-planning right through the finishing touches on our beautiful album, Karen captured the dreams coming true.

Picture-Minded Photography
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000

Seeing and envisioning the way things will appear photographically for the past 20 years, is a finely tuned skill that I have made into my career.  With every wedding and photoshoot all of my experience with light, composition, and how surroundings and subjects will translate in a photograph is intricately woven into every shot. Weddings are my creative playground combining three of my favorite types of photography into one:  portraiture, lifestyle, and photojournalism.  I love jumping into your day armed and ready to capture the most extraordinary fleeting moments in real time.

As a wedding planner and florist, Steph goes further and beyond in carefully capturing beautiful details of the events we work together. Her soft and professional presence is always beyond pleasant. Moreover, I love to see the result of our events through her eyes. Simply amazing!

Hi there! I’m Daniel Martinez, and I’m thrilled to connect with you! My passion for photography ignited at just 14 years old, and I’ve been dedicated to this creative journey ever since. With a decade of experience in wedding photography, I’ve had the joy of working with fantastic publications like ESPN, PDN, and The New York Times. I focus on a documentary style, capturing genuine, candid moments that tell your unique story. My goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day while I document the heartfelt connections between you and your loved ones. I’d love to chat!

From the very first conversation, we knew he was our guy—and we immediately forgot about everyone else. I’m usually not one for being in front of a camera, but Daniel made it all feel so easy, so relaxed, and honestly… SO MUCH FUN. He has this magic about him that makes you feel comfortable and hyped all at once. Our guests have not stopped raving about him—literally everyone was obsessed! And somehow, the very next morning, he had already sent us nearly 300 photos that blew us away. Each one better than the last. I LOVE THEM ALL. Daniel and his team were not only incredibly professional, but also genuinely kind and such a joy to be around. I honestly don’t think we’ll ever look better in photos again! He knew exactly where to shoot—from hidden corners of our venue to the most epic street shots. I’m still in awe. We cannot wait to see the final edits, and I really really really hope we get to shoot with him again someday. If you’re even thinking about booking Daniel—do it. You will not regret it. He’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of photographer!!!

Anthony was the absolute best photographer for our wedding and he will be for your event as well. He arrived really early, accommodated our budget and was overall super professional. We spoke several times over the phone prior to the event so he could get a feel for exactly what we had in mind. He captured every moment exactly how we want it to be remembered. Anthony was super easy going but very hard working and managed to capture everything! The photos are super high quality (both in the moments he captured and the actual quality of the photos) and they were delivered to us in a timely fashion after the wedding. We can't recommend 1028 photography enough!!!

Photos filled with life and energy. Bringing a positive vibe and a calming presence to Capture you in your truest element - and serving up wedding photos that radiate happiness and fun. Your wedding will feel like your dream dinner party. Great food and drinks, killer music...and most importantly: all the people you love gathered around the table. As the ultimate hosts, you want your guests to feel comfortable and have an amazing time—and this is just how you’ll feel in front of my camera on your wedding day. I’ll quickly put you at ease so you’ll spend the whole day doing the only thing that matters: having the best time together.

Hiring Sarah was one of the first and best decisions we made about our wedding! We first found Sarah when we were looking for a photographer for engagement photos, and as soon as the shoot was over we both agreed we wanted her at our wedding as well. Sarah has an exceptionally warm and kind presence which makes the process of posing and taking photos easy and comfortable, and our photos feel like they showcase our authentic personalities. She was a joy to have at our wedding, and several members of our wedding party specifically commented to my wife and I that the process of taking portraits was more fun and easier than they’d experienced at any other wedding. Everyone should hire Sarah, and especially if you’re a person who typically doesn’t like having their picture taken. You are in the best possible hands with Sarah!

Mariana Soto Photography
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,150

I am a wedding and couple photographer. I have an artsy, documentary style, perfect for capturing precious, authentic moments of love and delight. I want you to help turn magical moments into a collection of beautiful, meaningful works of art you can keep and treasure forever. I cover engagements, elopements, and wedding celebrations near and far, so wherever your love story may take you, I am ready to follow!! My basic wedding package includes an engagement session, high-resolution digital images, prints, and more. I am looking forward to helping make your wedding dreams come true. I can’t wait to meet you and get started.

My wife and I hired Mariana Soto for our wedding photos and could not be happier- she was incredible. She met with us multiple times before the wedding to talk about what style we were interested in and what specific shots we would like, and went over her various tiers of packages. We decided to add on film photography in addition to digital- this was a good decision, as those came out beautifully. On the day of the wedding, she and the second photographer were amazing, they were both very helpful and adapted on the fly to all of the chaos of the day. The edited photos came back to us within the timeframe she specified, and my wife and I were highly impressed with the quality and quantity of the photos. There are over 400 photos, and every single one is amazing. Beyond that, she and the second photographer just seemed genuinely happy to be there and to share in our day. She not only helped to make it perfect, but memorialized it for us so that we can always look back fondly on that day.

We’re Todd and Madi, the two behind TM Photo Co. We focus on capturing weddings in a way that feels natural, emotional, and true to the experience. Our approach is relaxed and documentary-driven, with just enough guidance to keep things feeling effortless. We shoot both digital and film to create images that feel honest, cinematic, and timeless. We want your photos to feel like you and bring you right back to how it all felt.

Todd Madi have captured not only our wedding, but also other lifestyle photos for us, so we already knew we wanted them to be part of our day. Leading up to the wedding, they were so communicative and even helped us map out our timeline to make sure we didn’t miss a single moment. Our wedding day ended up being the stormiest day of the year and it rained nonstop, but they were incredibly flexible and reassuring the entire time. Not once did we feel stressed about it. They just rolled with everything and made it work. They went above and beyond to capture it all, from our guests to the little details to our portraits, and somehow made the whole experience feel calm and easy. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed, and they truly nailed the romantic, modern vibe we were going for. We got our sneak peeks within just a few days and wow. We were so happy with everything. Words can't express how much we loved working with Wandermore! We had 2 sets of friends who used Wandermore for wedding photography, and one couple had Michelle photograph and the other had Rachel. We absolutely loved their pictures, so knew we wanted to go with them as well. Price-wise, they are reasonable and on par with or less than many other photographers. We really loved their style of photos -- they're fun, playful, honest, natural, and really capture energy and feelings so beautifully without feeling posed, static, rigid, or overly edited. After a bit of discussion, we chose to have Rachel as our photographer. She did an engagement shoot with us which was really helpful. We got to know her a little bit and vice versa. She was soooo sweet and made us much more comfortable being photographed, and encouraged us to just be ourselves, which resulted in some of the most beautiful photos. On our wedding day, Rachel was equally wonderful. She was organized and made sure to check in with us to be sure we were getting photos with groups that we had wanted, and again she did an amazing job of capturing our love and our amazing day! Cassidy was also great. We were definitely a little nervous not only having our picture taken, but doing so all dressed up, and they made it comfortable and fun and everyone told us how much they liked Rachel and Cassidy as people! We 10000000% recommend Wandermore to anyone looking for a photographer!

The Brenizers

Before we even met, Ryan and Tatiana had 10 years experience as wedding photographers, and Ryan had been named one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World by the two top industry magazines, American Photo and Rangefinder. We didn't mean to fall in love with the person whose style and experience fit most neatly with each others', but it happened. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

The Brenizers are such an amazing duo. We couldn’t recommend them more!! They are so professional and they take such amazing photos. The portraits don’t feel over-posed or over-stylized, and they capture such special moments. I trust them so deeply. We chose to work with them after a family member used them a couple years prior and we fell in love.

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

We cannot say enough amazing things about 98 Wedding Co. ! Gui and Joe went above and beyond in every way, capturing the most stunning, editorial-style photos of us, our family, and our bridal party. The vision we had in our heads of what our wedding photos would look like truly came to life - and then some. The lighting, the perfect use of flash, and their ability to make every shot look like it belongs in Vogue absolutely blew us away. From our first virtual meeting to our engagement photoshoot, to our final walkthrough before the wedding, Gui made us feel so secure throughout the entire process. His patience in answering our questions and ensuring every detail was understood was so appreciated. On the day of, Chris and I felt completely at ease in both Gui and Joe’s direction and guidance, their calm energy and professionalism made all the difference. Thank you, Gui and Joe, for your partnership, attention to detail, and for truly listening to what we were looking for - you absolutely surpassed any expectations we had. Every image feels timeless, artistic, and full of emotion. We’ll treasure these photos forever - thank you for giving us the wedding gallery of our dreams! I cannot recommend this team enough if you’re looking for a seamless, elevated photo and videography experience for your special occasion.

Far Out Feeling
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

A Parisian transplant based in Brooklyn, I fell into with wedding photography very randomly on a New Year's Eve and it was an instant match for me. Since then, I've shot weddings in all sorts of venues from massive mansions to art galleries in New-York, Paris, the French Riviera, Scotland, and Portugal. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me at home with my cat and husband, or travelling across the world. 30 countries and counting!

Carole was great to work with over the course of our engagement shoot and wedding day. She is organized, thoughtful and has great suggestions to get the right kind of photos that will make your day memorable. Love her style and would highly recommend!

When I'm not shooting weddings, I’m a total beach bum. This might sound like an oxymoron coming from a native Montrealer, but I adore the ocean (and very much dislike winter). I swim and surf whenever possible, and I get out to the Rockaways as often as I can. I do a ton of beach photography, including a series about couples at the beach, and I’ve been published a few times, including here and here. If you see me at the beach, come say hi, and let’s have a frozen drink together.

Erica was absolutely the best, we chose her because we liked her style and that her shots looked very natural. As someone who is very uncomfortable in front of the camera, this was important to me, and on the day I felt very relaxed and was able to truly enjoy the moments with my partner while she captured them. She took the time to meet with us months before the wedding to make sure we were comfortable the day of, and captured our day beautifully (while also helping make sure we were organized and didn’t veer too far off schedule!). I highly highly recommend her!
