Bailey Quinlan (she/they) is a photographic artist based in Brooklyn, NY working in both film & digital. With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art & an unshakable entrepreneurial spirit, she started her own business photographing weddings professionally in 2016, and has documented 100’s of celebrations since. Her fine art background informs her creative & personal approach to photographing weddings. She brings fresh eyes & ears to every couple she meets, focusing on what truly matters to them, to ensure her clients’ priorities & personalities shine through in their photos.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Bailey enough! From the moment we booked her, she was communicative, patient, and genuinely excited about our wedding. Her warmth and professionalism made us confident we'd made the right choice. One of the best decisions we made was also having Bailey cover our welcome party the night before the wedding. She captured the relaxed, joyful energy of our friends and family gathering for cocktails and an open mic on the deck at our venue. By the time our wedding day arrived, Bailey already felt like part of the group: a trusted friend rather than just a vendor. This made such a difference, especially since we're both pretty camera-shy and were nervous about feeling awkward or stiff in front of the camera. Bailey completely put us at ease. She has a gift for making you forget you're even being photographed. Her approach is so calm and unobtrusive that we could just be ourselves and enjoy our day. Bailey was incredibly patient with our large family during portraits, managing group shots with grace and efficiency while keeping everyone relaxed and happy. She has a real talent for making the photo-taking process feel natural and easy. The photos themselves are absolutely stunning. The ceremony shots in particular—the sunlight is captured exactly as I remember experiencing it in the moment, which is such a gift. Every image feels warm, authentic, and true to the vibe we wanted: natural, fun, and full of life. Bailey didn't just document our wedding, she captured the feeling of it. Now that our wedding is over, we can say with complete certainty that the photos were worth every penny of the investment. We love reliving the day through her work, and we know these images will be treasured for years to come. If you want a photographer who will blend seamlessly into your celebration, put your families at ease, and deliver beautiful, candid photos that feel like you, book Bailey immediately.

I believe that your images should look and feel exactly like you, as if you stepped out of your photographs into real life. My style is natural, vibrant and true to color and I enjoy providing a client experience that is unique, well-planned and most of all, fun! By the time your wedding arrives, my hope is you'll see me as a trusted friend helping you enjoy your day! A lifelong New Yorker, I love combining the creative with the technical and finding the beauty, art and magic in life as well as good food, dancing to 90s jams and my senior rescue cat, Ever.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emily is a phenomenal photographer to work with! She met with us more than once to set expectations and what kind of theme we were looking for. She also prepped us before the city hall marriage process, making sure we wouldn’t be flustered with any surprises on our special day. At the beginning, we weren’t sure what kind of themes we wanted, and struggled to tell Emily what we were looking for. We told her aesthetics like “dark academia” and “fantasy” but we weren’t sure what that would look like in practice. But Emily made a moodboard on Pinterest for us and helped us work through photos we’d like and photos we absolutely wouldn’t like! She also came with me a couple days before the shoot to scope out one of our locations, and she thought of great poses and locations to best showcase our relationship and cut down on any decision fatigue the day of. Emily made our wedding day seamless so the only thing we needed to worry about was how happy we were that day. Would definitely recommend!!

Steph Smith Photo

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

I started learning photography in my high school's darkroom. I was there so much, they gave me my own key so I could come in on weekends. In the mid-aughts, I brought my art kid sensibilities to Brooklyn, and here’s been home ever since. In true New York fashion, I’ve had many jobs— but photography's been my full-time focus for more than a decade. Just me, a concerning number of cameras, and my cat. I'm going to take photos anyway, so some of them should really be of you. While I duly rely on the miracle that is digital, I remain grounded in the discipline of analog. I love incorporating film photography for my clients wherever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Castelblanco Photography

  • Starts at $2,100
  • Offer

Nicolas Perez Castelblanco, a New York-based photographer, specializes in documenting weddings and other memorable occasions. An alumnus of the New York Film Academy, Nicolas is driven by a love for preserving heartfelt emotions and timeless moments that highlight the essence of human connection.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Nicolas was an absolute dream. His artistic eye is remarkable—he has a way of playing with light and shadow that makes every image feel cinematic, intimate, and alive. Looking through our photos truly feels like being transported back into our wedding day, with all its emotion, warmth, and movement still intact. Nicolas also has this wonderful balance of professionalism and ease. He knows how to find your best angles and gives just the right amount of direction so you feel comfortable and confident, never posed or forced. Our venue wasn’t a typical wedding space, but he approached it with such care—he visited beforehand, learned the light, and made it look absolutely stunning. Even with my constantly evolving shot list (which I updated until just weeks before!), he stayed flexible, patient, and somehow managed to capture every single moment I’d hoped for—and so many I didn’t even realize I wanted. If you’re looking for a photographer who can make you feel your day all over again, and make you look incredible while doing it, Nicolas is the one.

Natura Collective

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over TEN years (wowee). I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

As two people who are not very comfortable in front of a camera, we knew immediately that we were in good hands with Christian & Emilio. They made our engagement shoot incredibly fun, giving us just enough direction and encouragement that we felt natural and not posed or awkward, making an hour seem like 20 minutes. And our wedding?? They truly took it to the next level!! Throughout the weekend, they were so positive, energetic and somehow always around at the perfect moment. They got every shot we asked for and took candids that I will truly treasure for the rest of my life. The only thing more amazing than their photos are the people taking them️ 12/10 recommend!!

Hi, I’m Stef—nice to meet you. I photograph intimate weddings, NYC City Hall weddings, and micro celebrations with a documentary-style approach, capturing the honest, in-between moments that make your day yours. I blend 35mm film and digital to make small celebrations feel big. Based in New York City and available for travel. Reach out to tell your story!

Awarded Best of Zola
I reached out to Stef a couple of days before my last-minute City Hall ceremony scheduled for 9:30am on a Friday. That’s too early and too last-minute for many wedding photographers, but Stef was such a great sport. She took a few posed photos of the group then followed us on a walk up the Bowery and through Chinatown to get to our brunch spot, snapping fantastic documentary-style photos all along the way. We wanted to remember the moment for what it was, without staging shots. The photos were exactly what we hoped for.

Karen Seifert Photography

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

Karen was lovely to work with. We did a fun engagement shoot in Prospect Park. For our wedding we were mostly concerned with the dim venue lighting, and Karen did a fantastic job capturing the warmth and joy of the day. She even pulled us aside for the perfect photo when snow started falling outside! Highly recommend

Brooklyn, NY

Seeing and envisioning the way things will appear photographically for the past 20 years, is a finely tuned skill that I have made into my career.  With every wedding and photoshoot all of my experience with light, composition, and how surroundings and subjects will translate in a photograph is intricately woven into every shot. Weddings are my creative playground combining three of my favorite types of photography into one:  portraiture, lifestyle, and photojournalism.  I love jumping into your day armed and ready to capture the most extraordinary fleeting moments in real time.

Stephanie was fantastic to work with for our wedding photos. During the event, she captured our moments perfectly without ever being intrusive, and the final photos are stunning. Very easy communication. Overall, I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone seeking a wedding photographer.

Hi there! I’m Daniel Martinez, and I’m thrilled to connect with you! My passion for photography ignited at just 14 years old, and I’ve been dedicated to this creative journey ever since. With a decade of experience in wedding photography, I’ve had the joy of working with fantastic publications like ESPN, PDN, and The New York Times. I focus on a documentary style, capturing genuine, candid moments that tell your unique story. My goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day while I document the heartfelt connections between you and your loved ones. I’d love to chat!

Daniel came as a referral so I knew he had to be good, but good is underrated. Daniel was AMAZING. He captured my daughter's Sweet 16 photoshoot in Times Square and at the Sugar Factory. Daniel has an eye that captured emotion with the artistic touch iconic pictures are made of, no really. When you think about booking him, ask to see the Sweet 16 shoot in Times Square. Your welcome.

Anthony was excellent! We were looking for something a bit more focused on candids, rather than the traditional posed pictures, and he delivered on both types of photos. He had a great intuition for where the action was happening, captured some truly amazing moments of hilarity and joy. He was great at staying present but out of the way, even in some more cramped areas of the event. He delivered prelim photos before our family had even left town, and was super quick with the finalized photos, and they all look GREAT! I highly recommend his services.

Storyteller Co Documentary Film Wedding Photo & Super 8mm NYC and Destination

4.2

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

Storyteller Co captures the lived-in energy of NYC & destination weddings through a bespoke intersection of photojournalistic integrity and high-fashion aesthetics. A documentary-meets-editorial wedding archive on film, Polaroid, Super 8/16mm, and digital photography + cinema. Delivering physical negatives for global generational stewardship.

If you’re debating between documentary-style photography and a more traditional approach, go with documentary and more importantly, hire Kayla and Zoey. These two are true artists with an incredible eye for detail. They photographed both our engagement and wedding, and their creative vision blew us away. We’re big film lovers, so when we saw their work on Instagram, including Super 8/16mm film, 35mm, and Polaroid, we instantly knew we had to book them, even though our wedding was nearly two years out. From our first meeting for the engagement shoot, Kayla and Zoey made us feel completely at ease. By the time our wedding day came around, it felt like we had invited two friends to capture our day. They brought so much energy and were fully present to capture every detail, big and small. Our only initial hesitation was that they don’t use shot lists. But in all honesty, you don’t need one when your photographers have such a strong instinct for capturing genuine moments and meaningful connections. We still got our family photos since we had some adamant family members, but the photos we’ll cherish forever were the candid ones: the laughter, the tears, and all the little in-between moments that made our day special. If their stunning work on their website and Instagram hasn’t convinced you yet, their delivery SPEED will. We received a generous sneak peek within 24 hours, tons of film and video deliverables within the week, and the full gallery of nearly 2,000 digital and film photos and videos WITH RAWs just two weeks after the wedding (we were only promised at least 800). We didn’t even get over our wedding high yet and they delivered the entire day’s worth of memories for us to re-live it all and feel that rush again! We could go on and on about how amazing they are. Kayla and Zoey, we hope you continue to have a passion for what you do because you guys truly have a gift. If you're lucky enough to work with them, you’ll understand exactly what we mean. We hope they continue to share their passion because the world needs more of what they create.

Before we even met, Ryan and Tatiana had 10 years experience as wedding photographers, and Ryan had been named one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World by the two top industry magazines, American Photo and Rangefinder. We didn't mean to fall in love with the person whose style and experience fit most neatly with each others', but it happened. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

Ryan and Tatiana are amazing photographers. They are geniuses at capturing candid moments and taking action shots along with posed photos. My husband and I don’t feel like natural models behind the camera, but they provided coaching during our engagement photo shoot. We knew that there would be plenty of great photos of the two of us on our special day and we asked that they focus on getting great shots of as many of the guests as they could. They totally delivered! And despite managing to take snaps of over 100 guests, no one really noticed that they were there. It was like they were photography ninjas. They really managed to capture the joy and the fun of the day. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. Thank you to Ryan and Tatiana for everything!

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

We cannot say enough amazing things about 98 Wedding Co. ! Gui and Joe went above and beyond in every way, capturing the most stunning, editorial-style photos of us, our family, and our bridal party. The vision we had in our heads of what our wedding photos would look like truly came to life - and then some. The lighting, the perfect use of flash, and their ability to make every shot look like it belongs in Vogue absolutely blew us away. From our first virtual meeting to our engagement photoshoot, to our final walkthrough before the wedding, Gui made us feel so secure throughout the entire process. His patience in answering our questions and ensuring every detail was understood was so appreciated. On the day of, Chris and I felt completely at ease in both Gui and Joe’s direction and guidance, their calm energy and professionalism made all the difference. Thank you, Gui and Joe, for your partnership, attention to detail, and for truly listening to what we were looking for - you absolutely surpassed any expectations we had. Every image feels timeless, artistic, and full of emotion. We’ll treasure these photos forever - thank you for giving us the wedding gallery of our dreams! Far Out Feeling

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

A Parisian transplant based in Brooklyn, I fell into with wedding photography very randomly on a New Year's Eve and it was an instant match for me. Since then, I've shot weddings in all sorts of venues from massive mansions to art galleries in New-York, Paris, the French Riviera, Scotland, and Portugal. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me at home with my cat and husband, or travelling across the world. 30 countries and counting!

I am so glad we chose Carole as our wedding photographer!! She was very communicative and down to earth. By the time the wedding came along, even though we hadn’t met, I already felt like I knew her. She put my husband and I at ease (we’re both awkward in front of a camera) and had amazing ideas for poses and shooting locations. The photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning, we couldn’t be happier!

Photos By Jase isn't about the mere photography or the "pretty" documentation of your date. Rather, it's an investment into an experience that cares to properly represent and showcase your 1 of 1 reason for saying "I do" to one another. Our brand of wedding photography believes that the little things are the big things. And capturing the organic way our couples laugh at their own inside jokes, tear up during their vows to one another, and then treasure their photo galleries for decades to come with us is worth stressing every detail and say "no" to anything less. Here, we masterfully blend photojournalism + intimacy + art.

Photos By Jase was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. From the very first interaction, Jase's communication was quick, exciting, and professional. He made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera and had so many great posing ideas that really highlighted our connection. You can see the passion and romance in every photo - Jase has a true gift for capturing the special moments that make a wedding day so magical. We're thrilled with the final photos and the incredible value we received. Jase was an absolute pleasure to work with and we highly recommend him to any couple looking for a talented, creative, and personable wedding photographer.

When I'm not shooting weddings, I’m a total beach bum. This might sound like an oxymoron coming from a native Montrealer, but I adore the ocean (and very much dislike winter). I swim and surf whenever possible, and I get out to the Rockaways as often as I can. I do a ton of beach photography, including a series about couples at the beach, and I’ve been published a few times, including here and here. If you see me at the beach, come say hi, and let’s have a frozen drink together.

As a wedding planner, I absolutely LOVE working with Erica. She's incredibly responsive, communicative, and professional leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. My couples adore her and I know they are always going to be in great hands with her. She has a knack for making people comfortable in front of the camera, even if they have some jitters initially, and capturing all of their love and energy. Her photos are always amazing and she's a go-to recommendation for all of my couples.

Thank you for taking an interest in my work and considering me to be your Wedding Photographer! I'm technically based in Brooklyn, NY but have the unique situation of growing up in Maine. I then spent a decade in New Orleans where I first began my photography journey and moved up to NYC to further pursue it. I'm fortunate enough to have several places to call home and while I work a great deal in the New England & the tri-state area, I'm proud to announce that I've accepted work at an international level this year. Traveling is one of my other great passions, along with music, so it's a perfect fit.

I found Karl ages ago when I was looking for a photographer for my engagement shoot in New Orleans. The photos came out amazing. I was nervous at first since I had never had professional photos taken, but he was so kind and he made me feel at ease instantly. I couldn’t get enough of the photos once I received them. I love love love his use of natural light and the fact that all of his shots are unique and never those “forced” poses that every other photographer uses. I loved his work so much that I booked him for my wedding photos, then my maternity photos after that, and a few of my closest friends and family have also booked him for their weddings as well. I would definitely book Karl again for any future events.
