Bailey Quinlan (she/they) is a photographic artist based in Brooklyn, NY working in both film & digital. Her fine art background informs her creative & personal approach to photographing weddings. She brings fresh eyes & ears to every couple she meets, focusing on what truly matters to them, to ensure her clients’ priorities & personalities shine through in their photos.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.

Emily came highly recommended by a friend who knew we wanted a photographer who could capture sweet candid moments and make us feel at ease. Emily was proactive from the start, getting to know us and what we wanted out of our engagement photos. She listened to our ideas, offered expert recommendations, and created the perfect mood board. We are so grateful for Emily's expert guidance, which took our natural energy and channeled it to feature our best angles. Our engagement photos are so special, thanks to Emily!

Steph Smith Photo
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I started learning photography in my high school's darkroom. I was there so much, they gave me my own key so I could come in on weekends. In the mid-aughts, I brought my art kid sensibilities to Brooklyn, and here’s been home ever since. In true New York fashion, I’ve had many jobs— but photography's been my full-time focus for more than a decade. Just me, a concerning number of cameras, and my cat. I'm going to take photos anyway, so some of them should really be of you. While I duly rely on the miracle that is digital, I remain grounded in the discipline of analog. I love incorporating film photography for my clients wherever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
We truly had the most amazing experience with Steph as our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, she understood exactly what we wanted — candid, intimate, in-the-moment photos that felt real and unposed. And that’s exactly what she delivered. Looking through our gallery feels like reliving the day. She captured all the little moments — the quiet glances, the bursts of laughter, the in-between seconds you don’t even realize are happening — and somehow froze them in time. Nothing feels staged. Every photo feels alive. Her style is artsy and fun without ever trying too hard. She completely captured the essence of our Brooklyn wedding — from our backyard ceremony filled with those who are closest to us to the most fun party that followed at our favorite dive bar. The photos feel like us. If you’re looking for someone who can document your wedding in a way that feels authentic, emotional, and effortlessly cool, Steph is it. We couldn’t be happier.

Natura Collective
Rating: 5.0 (12 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over TEN years (wowee). I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

As two people who are not very comfortable in front of a camera, we knew immediately that we were in good hands with Christian & Emilio. They made our engagement shoot incredibly fun, giving us just enough direction and encouragement that we felt natural and not posed or awkward, making an hour seem like 20 minutes. And our wedding?? They truly took it to the next level!! Throughout the weekend, they were so positive, energetic and somehow always around at the perfect moment. They got every shot we asked for and took candids that I will truly treasure for the rest of my life. The only thing more amazing than their photos are the people taking them️ 12/10 recommend!!

Karen Seifert Photography
Rating: 5.0 (9 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

We knew from the beginning that our event was going to have some unique challenges. Outdoors in winter at sunset. Karen came prepared. She had scouted out the venue and knew exactly how to maximize the potential. She saw places we would never have thought to use. Her skill took the challenge of low lighting and turned it into an asset. The photos from start to finish are exquisite. "You look like celebrities!" and "Magical!" are just a few of the compliments we've received. From pre-planning right through the finishing touches on our beautiful album, Karen captured the dreams coming true.

Anthony was the absolute best photographer for our wedding and he will be for your event as well. He arrived really early, accommodated our budget and was overall super professional. We spoke several times over the phone prior to the event so he could get a feel for exactly what we had in mind. He captured every moment exactly how we want it to be remembered. Anthony was super easy going but very hard working and managed to capture everything! The photos are super high quality (both in the moments he captured and the actual quality of the photos) and they were delivered to us in a timely fashion after the wedding. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

Working with Gui and Zach was everything!!! Their warmth, energy, and creativity made us feel so comfortable and cared for. On our wedding day, you not only captured beautiful photos (despite the rain) but also created such a joyful experience, and we genuinely had so much fun taking pictures! The photos are stunning and truly reflect the love, beauty, and happiness we felt that day. They are so meaningful and more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We’re endlessly grateful to you both!

Far Out Feeling
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $1,999

Photos By Jase isn't about the mere photography or the "pretty" documentation of your date. Rather, it's an investment into an experience that cares to properly represent and showcase your 1 of 1 reason for saying "I do" to one another. Our brand of wedding photography believes that the little things are the big things. And capturing the organic way our couples laugh at their own inside jokes, tear up during their vows to one another, and then treasure their photo galleries for decades to come with us is worth stressing every detail and say "no" to anything less. Here, we masterfully blend photojournalism + intimacy + art.

Erica Reade Photography
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $7,500

When I'm not shooting weddings, I’m a total beach bum. This might sound like an oxymoron coming from a native Montrealer, but I adore the ocean (and very much dislike winter). I swim and surf whenever possible, and I get out to the Rockaways as often as I can. I do a ton of beach photography, including a series about couples at the beach, and I’ve been published a few times, including here and here. If you see me at the beach, come say hi, and let’s have a frozen drink together.

Erica was absolutely the best, we chose her because we liked her style and that her shots looked very natural. As someone who is very uncomfortable in front of the camera, this was important to me, and on the day I felt very relaxed and was able to truly enjoy the moments with my partner while she captured them. She took the time to meet with us months before the wedding to make sure we were comfortable the day of, and captured our day beautifully (while also helping make sure we were organized and didn’t veer too far off schedule!). I highly highly recommend her!

I was nervous at first since I had never had professional photos taken, but he was so kind and he made me feel at ease instantly. I couldn’t get enough of the photos once I received them. I love love love his use of natural light and the fact that all of his shots are unique and never those “forced” poses that every other photographer uses. I loved his work so much that I booked him for my wedding photos, then my maternity photos after that, and a few of my closest friends and family have also booked him for their weddings as well. I would definitely book Karl again for any future events.

Joanna is the best photographer!!! She has done a ton of different photos for us from family photos, Christmas, engagement and many more and they’ve always turned out way more amazing than we could’ve ever imagined so we asked if she could do our wedding photos. We got married in the Dominican Republic and she worked with us so well when it came to planning when we should be ready and how everything should work for us to get our dream wedding photos. She organized everything super well so we got to get rehearsal dinner photos, getting ready photos, ceremony photos and party photos. She got our photos back to us super quick and they were beyond incredible!!! Not only were they beautiful but when looking at them we can really feel and relive the feelings we felt in those moments. She got a lot of candid photos of us and our guests laughing and dancing and looking back at those photos brings us so many great memories!!! She was amazing and we highly recommend her!!! We will be using her for all our photos!!!!

Angelica Radway Photography was amazing to work with from start to finish. Angelica did a great job communicating with us from our very first message, helping us determine the best location for the style of photos we wanted. We gave her complete creative freedom, and she expertly guided us through little details like fixing our wind-blown hair. Since we chose to elope and have a more intimate, special moment, Angelica's skills in capturing those unique and fun memories were invaluable. We couldn't be happier with the final results - it was a 10/10 experience overall.
