We hired Bailey to take both our engagement photos last year and wedding day photos for our wedding this past month. Bailey was a DREAM to work with. Incredibly hard working, energetic, enthusiastic, and quite possibly one of the sweetest people you might ever meet. From the very beginning, Bailey was so communicative and easy to talk to. We felt so comfortable around Bailey! On the day of our wedding, Bailey was also so on top of everything and kept us right on schedule, starting with our first look and photo walk to the venue. Throughout the day, Bailey was also phenomenal and really made us feel like our photos were in good hands. We trusted her process completely and felt safe and happy knowing that we had her on our team! We also really appreciated her efforts to get to know us throughout, and really feel like she had a great vision of who we are as a couple, what we wanted for our wedding vibe, as well as understanding and being aware of our personal interests too! We are so excited to see more of Bailey's photos from our big day!! Cannot imagine how the day could have gone without Bailey's help!!

I believe that your images should look and feel exactly like you, as if you stepped out of your photographs into real life. My style is natural, vibrant and true to color and I enjoy providing a client experience that is unique, well-planned and most of all, fun! By the time your wedding arrives, my hope is you'll see me as a trusted friend helping you enjoy your day! A lifelong New Yorker, I love combining the creative with the technical and finding the beauty, art and magic in life as well as good food, dancing to 90s jams and my senior rescue cat, Ever.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emily is a phenomenal photographer to work with! She met with us more than once to set expectations and what kind of theme we were looking for. She also prepped us before the city hall marriage process, making sure we wouldn’t be flustered with any surprises on our special day. At the beginning, we weren’t sure what kind of themes we wanted, and struggled to tell Emily what we were looking for. We told her aesthetics like “dark academia” and “fantasy” but we weren’t sure what that would look like in practice. But Emily made a moodboard on Pinterest for us and helped us work through photos we’d like and photos we absolutely wouldn’t like! She also came with me a couple days before the shoot to scope out one of our locations, and she thought of great poses and locations to best showcase our relationship and cut down on any decision fatigue the day of. Emily made our wedding day seamless so the only thing we needed to worry about was how happy we were that day. Would definitely recommend!!

Steph Smith Photo
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I started learning photography in my high school's darkroom. I was there so much, they gave me my own key so I could come in on weekends. In the mid-aughts, I brought my art kid sensibilities to Brooklyn, and here’s been home ever since. In true New York fashion, I’ve had many jobs— but photography's been my full-time focus for more than a decade. Just me, a concerning number of cameras, and my cat. I'm going to take photos anyway, so some of them should really be of you. While I duly rely on the miracle that is digital, I remain grounded in the discipline of analog. I love incorporating film photography for my clients wherever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Natura Collective
Rating: 5.0 (12 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over TEN years (wowee). I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

As two people who are not very comfortable in front of a camera, we knew immediately that we were in good hands with Christian & Emilio. They made our engagement shoot incredibly fun, giving us just enough direction and encouragement that we felt natural and not posed or awkward, making an hour seem like 20 minutes. And our wedding?? They truly took it to the next level!! Throughout the weekend, they were so positive, energetic and somehow always around at the perfect moment. They got every shot we asked for and took candids that I will truly treasure for the rest of my life. The only thing more amazing than their photos are the people taking them️ 12/10 recommend!!

Karen Seifert Photography
Rating: 5.0 (9 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $4,000

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

As a professional Floral Designer, I get to meet and work with an abundance of wedding photographers. Karen's work really stands out! After seeing the photos from a recent wedding we worked on together, I cannot recommend her more to couples looking for their photographer. Not only are the images beautifully edited but the moments she has the eye to capture are unexpected treasures! Her work is both personal and professional, two of the most important qualities to look for in a photographer.

Brooklyn, NY

Seeing and envisioning the way things will appear photographically for the past 20 years, is a finely tuned skill that I have made into my career.  With every wedding and photoshoot all of my experience with light, composition, and how surroundings and subjects will translate in a photograph is intricately woven into every shot. Weddings are my creative playground combining three of my favorite types of photography into one:  portraiture, lifestyle, and photojournalism.  I love jumping into your day armed and ready to capture the most extraordinary fleeting moments in real time.

From the first moment we met Stephanie, my husband and I discovered how pleasant, attentive and professional she was. Her expertise really shined through as she kept us up to date with scouting venues as well as ideas of run-of-show on the big day. In which, when our special day was upon us, she was simply magnificent. The photographs taken were absolutely on point with what my husband I requested and we are thrilled. We recently sat down to view them again, and found ourselves laughing, smiling and just reminiscing so fondly of our day. Stephanie is a true talent and sincere professional. Looking forward to working with her in the near future for some more special events :D

Hi there! I’m Daniel Martinez, and I’m thrilled to connect with you! My passion for photography ignited at just 14 years old, and I’ve been dedicated to this creative journey ever since. With a decade of experience in wedding photography, I’ve had the joy of working with fantastic publications like ESPN, PDN, and The New York Times. I focus on a documentary style, capturing genuine, candid moments that tell your unique story. My goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day while I document the heartfelt connections between you and your loved ones. I’d love to chat!

From the very first conversation, we knew he was our guy—and we immediately forgot about everyone else. I’m usually not one for being in front of a camera, but Daniel made it all feel so easy, so relaxed, and honestly… SO MUCH FUN. He has this magic about him that makes you feel comfortable and hyped all at once. Our guests have not stopped raving about him—literally everyone was obsessed! And somehow, the very next morning, he had already sent us nearly 300 photos that blew us away. Each one better than the last. I LOVE THEM ALL. Daniel and his team were not only incredibly professional, but also genuinely kind and such a joy to be around. I honestly don’t think we’ll ever look better in photos again! He knew exactly where to shoot—from hidden corners of our venue to the most epic street shots. I’m still in awe. We cannot wait to see the final edits, and I really really really hope we get to shoot with him again someday. If you’re even thinking about booking Daniel—do it. You will not regret it. He’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of photographer!!!

Photos filled with life and energy. Bringing a positive vibe and a calming presence to Capture you in your truest element - and serving up wedding photos that radiate happiness and fun. Hiring Sarah was one of the first and best decisions we made about our wedding! We first found Sarah when we were looking for a photographer for engagement photos, and as soon as the shoot was over we both agreed we wanted her at our wedding as well. Sarah has an exceptionally warm and kind presence which makes the process of posing and taking photos easy and comfortable, and our photos feel like they showcase our authentic personalities. She was a joy to have at our wedding, and several members of our wedding party specifically commented to my wife and I that the process of taking portraits was more fun and easier than they’d experienced at any other wedding. Everyone should hire Sarah, and especially if you’re a person who typically doesn’t like having their picture taken. You are in the best possible hands with Sarah!

Before we even met, Ryan and Tatiana had 10 years experience as wedding photographers, and Ryan had been named one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World by the two top industry magazines, American Photo and Rangefinder. We didn't mean to fall in love with the person whose style and experience fit most neatly with each others', but it happened. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

Ryan and Tatiana are amazing photographers. They are geniuses at capturing candid moments and taking action shots along with posed photos. My husband and I don’t feel like natural models behind the camera, but they provided coaching during our engagement photo shoot. We knew that there would be plenty of great photos of the two of us on our special day and we asked that they focus on getting great shots of as many of the guests as they could. They totally delivered! And despite managing to take snaps of over 100 guests, no one really noticed that they were there. It was like they were photography ninjas. They really managed to capture the joy and the fun of the day. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. Thank you to Ryan and Tatiana for everything!

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

Working with Gui and Zach was everything!!! Their warmth, energy, and creativity made us feel so comfortable and cared for. On our wedding day, you not only captured beautiful photos (despite the rain) but also created such a joyful experience, and we genuinely had so much fun taking pictures! The photos are stunning and truly reflect the love, beauty, and happiness we felt that day. They are so meaningful and more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We’re endlessly grateful to you both!

Far Out Feeling
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

A Parisian transplant based in Brooklyn, I fell into with wedding photography very randomly on a New Year's Eve and it was an instant match for me. Since then, I've shot weddings in all sorts of venues from massive mansions to art galleries in New-York, Paris, the French Riviera, Scotland, and Portugal. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me at home with my cat and husband, or travelling across the world. 30 countries and counting!

Carole was great to work with over the course of our engagement shoot and wedding day. She is organized, thoughtful and has great suggestions to get the right kind of photos that will make your day memorable. Love her style and would highly recommend!

Erica Reade Photography

Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $7,500

When I'm not shooting weddings, I’m a total beach bum. This might sound like an oxymoron coming from a native Montrealer, but I adore the ocean (and very much dislike winter). I swim and surf whenever possible, and I get out to the Rockaways as often as I can. I do a ton of beach photography, including a series about couples at the beach, and I’ve been published a few times, including here and here. If you see me at the beach, come say hi, and let’s have a frozen drink together.

Erica was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. In addition to having an impressive artistic eye, she's great at staying on schedule without rushing anyone. Erica is also wonderful with people and knows how to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, which absolutely shows in the finished product. Our sneak peek album (delivered two days after the wedding, a great way to combat post-party blues!) perfectly captured the joy of our wedding through candid and posed shots. We can't wait to see the rest of them!

I'm fortunate enough to have several places to call home and while I work a great deal in the New England & the tri-state area, I'm proud to announce that I've accepted work at an international level this year. Traveling is one of my other great passions, along with music, so it's a perfect fit.

Karl was a pleasure to work with! He’s very humble and easy going. He arrived at the venue ready to get right to work and knew exactly what he was doing. I have already recommended him to my other clients! Karl’s work is amazing and really speaks for itself. As a Wedding Planner, I’ve worked with a lot of Photographers and Karl is now my “go to” for my clients. I recommend him to everyone!!

Joanna was helpful in preparing us for our photos - asking what our outfits would be, location and pose preferences, etc. It can be uncomfortable to take pics, but Joanna put us completely at ease. She was able to seamlessly direct us on how to pose and make us smile naturally. I LOVE how our photos turned out!

Angelica Radway Photography was amazing to work with from start to finish. Angelica did a great job communicating with us from our very first message, helping us determine the best location for the style of photos we wanted. We gave her complete creative freedom, and she expertly guided us through little details like fixing our wind-blown hair. Since we chose to elope and have a more intimate, special moment, Angelica's skills in capturing those unique and fun memories were invaluable. We couldn't be happier with the final results - it was a 10/10 experience overall.
