Your wedding is a special day in your life that is made up of little moments between your lover, family, friends, whoever you choose to celebrate with, and I’m here to help you remember those moments. I believe in photos that make you feel emotion, that tell a story, and that capture the authenticity of the day. As someone who values genuine connection over anything else, I want you to know that your needs and desires for your wedding day are my top priority. I do everything from a place of passion; and your love story is no exception.

My photography is rooted in a love for love. I find beauty in the subtle glances and candid smiles exchanged between two people in love, and I allow that beauty to inspire my work. I believe the best images come from the uninterrupted moments, so you’ll experience that I am laid back in my direction, moving beyond traditional posing, because I show up as an observer, photographing your wedding day as it unfolds so that you look back and remember every moment as it was, and all the feelings that come with them.

Deeply involved and beautiful photos!
Booking Joanna for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. She helped set the tone for our timeline and next steps, and we’re so glad we booked her early on in our planning. From our very first call, it was clear how professional and deeply involved she is with her clients. She sent us a questionnaire to better understand who we are as a couple and what we wanted for our wedding day photos, which really helped us put our vision into words. We did an engagement session a few months before the wedding, which not only helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera, but also left us so excited to work with Joanna again. Throughout the months leading up to the big day, we stayed in touch, sharing photo ideas and getting to know each other better. She helped us build our day-of timeline and pin down our must-have shots and moments, which was invaluable. Joanna was genuinely invested in us, and on the wedding day, it truly felt like having a friend there capturing every moment. Joanna captured the true essence of our wedding day through her artistic lens. Every time I look through our gallery, I’m immediately transported back to a day full of joy and love, and that is the absolute best gift a wedding photographer can give.

A Joy to Work with!
Joanna can best be described as calm, cool, organized, and intentional. Her energy brought such a sense of ease and warmth amidst all the wedding chaos. We never once felt rushed or like just another client — Joanna made us feel genuinely cared for from start to finish. Of all the vendors we worked with, we had the highest level of confidence in her. Her process was seamless, her communication was spot-on, and her eye for capturing the perfect moments was unmatched. On the wedding day, Joanna arrived prepared and in control. She managed to wrangle our fun-loving, slightly chaotic wedding parties with grace and humor, capturing both our genuine personalities and the timeless shots our families will cherish forever. Working with Joanna was an absolute joy, and we truly can’t recommend her enough.

Lovely Photos, Put us at Ease!
Joanna was helpful in preparing us for our photos - asking what our outfits would be, location and pose preferences, etc. It can be uncomfortable to take pics, but Joanna put us completely at ease. She was able to seamlessly direct us on how to pose and make us smile naturally. I LOVE how our photos turned out!

We were lucky enough to find Joanna through a referral and GOOD LORD we are so blown away. Joanna came into our crazy day to capture our elopement at the Beekman. While it’s a beautiful venue, it is dark and moody and takes someone with tact to capture the moment. Joanna did that and more – going so far as to help check in with me and let me vent a little about some family. She herded cats and was professional and kind the whole way through. She was a ROCK for my husband, who is more reserved when put on the spot. Joanna was on time with photos, per the contract and was incredibly communicative. Now, to the photos… we are BLOWN. AWAY. Joanna took our editorial inspiration and made it a reality – she went with the flow and just captured inspiration as it came. She recommended a park nearby for a nice bright contrast – the BEST decision. It was a tiring day for us and yet I was so energized emotionally working with Joanna! Cannot praise her enough!!!!
