Carole Cohen Photography

A Parisian transplant based in Brooklyn, I fell into with wedding photography very randomly on a New Year's Eve and it was an instant match for me. Since then, I've shot weddings in all sorts of venues from massive mansions to art galleries in New-York, Paris, the French Riviera, Scotland, and Portugal. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me at home with my cat and husband, or travelling across the world. 30 countries and counting!

I am what the French call a "force tranquille" (tranquil force), which means I know how to get myself heard and getting things done in a crowd of wedding guests while keeping a calm demeanor. It's this duality that makes me a comforting presence to my brides and grooms, all the while leading the day if I need to. Falling into wedding photography like I did back in 2012 was the luckiest thing that could have happened to me, and I am well aware of the gift I was given that day. That is why I cherish every wedding that comes my way, and treat everyone with the same amount of loyalty and enthusiasm.

The best day ever!
We found Carole on Instagram, and after our first call, we knew she was the right fit for us. We clicked immediately, and she made the whole process feel easy from the start. Throughout planning, she helped us think through timelines, answered countless random questions, and was always willing to share advice—even when it had nothing to do with photography. On the wedding day, she kept everything moving, wasn't afraid to take charge when family photos got chaotic, and was also totally down for whatever adventure we threw her way—whether that was riding the subway to our ceremony or stopping to take photos with the random cat we found on the street. Some of those photos ended up being our favorites. What we love most about Carole's photography is how natural and intentional it feels. Looking through our gallery, we were amazed by all the little details she captured—the personal touches we spent months planning, the interactions we missed in the moment, and the small moments that made the day feel so special. The photos don't just document what happened; they genuinely capture the feeling of the day. Every image feels like a memory rather than a posed shot. Hiring Carole was one of the best decisions we made, and we'd recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Unmatched talent
From our first conversation with Carole, we knew we'd found the right photographer for our day. She has a magnetic personality that puts you at ease, and her swift, easy-going communication style made the whole planning process stress-free. What really stood out was her approach to photography. truly the best
Carole shot my elopement in New-York. I was originally looking for a French-speaking photographer since my husband and I are both French and his English is not so great, but I fell in love with her poetic storytelling. In addition to the beautiful photos we received, she was fun to hang out with. I would recommend her without hesitation. Merci Carole!

Best Brooklyn Photographer!
I am so glad we chose Carole as our wedding photographer!! She was very communicative and down to earth. By the time the wedding came along, even though we hadn’t met, I already felt like I knew her. She put my husband and I at ease (we’re both awkward in front of a camera) and had amazing ideas for poses and shooting locations. The photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning, we couldn’t be happier!

Highly recommend Carole!
