Rule of Thirds

Versatile and chic.

Featuring industrial notes with exposed brick, concrete floors and beautiful light-filled rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. With three indoor private dining rooms, an expansive event space with its own private entrance/exit, and an outdoor courtyard that can be converted to allow for private gatherings, Rule of Thirds can host events ranging from 8 to 450 people.

    Rule of Thirds was an excellent venue, we had our wedding in March and was perfect for a winter wedding. We worked with Julie, who was extremely organized leading up to the day and helped our day run smoothly. The space was great for the number of people we had (a smaller wedding about 70 people) the food and drinks were the best, and overall we were very pleased with the event. You can really do whatever you would like for the day and they are very accommodating, it was a pleasure working with them.

    It was so great to host our reception at ROT! My partner and I just love how special this space is - the atmosphere is wonderful and has very nice brooklyn vibe that can't really experience elsewhere. What's the best is probably the food-- we love it and so do our guests (and everyone was very full!)-- definitely very high quality and delicious! Our wedding planner Julie was amazing and very easy to work with. Generally we are very happy with our decision to celebrate this important date at ROT. Their aesthetic and food is unbeatable... highly recommend!

    There's a lot of lovely places to get married in NYC and picking a venue was tough! But we are so, so happy that we ended up choosing Rule of Thirds. The venue was lovely, the neighborhood (Greenpoint/Williamsburg) was perfect for planning events around the wedding, and everyone said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Even though Sydney was technically our "day of coordinator" she was immensely helpful beyond that single day—answering our many questions and guiding us throughout the process. I also really appreciated the extra steps the venue took to add thoughtfulness to the experiences, such as the personalized menu when we went in to our tasting. If you want a city wedding and are on the fence, just go with Rule of Thirds!

    Very professional team, flexibility in terms of production design and difference spaces/ambiances, delicious food, and exceptional location for parking. I'd highly recommend this venue if you are planning a very unique, and more unconventional wedding .
