About this venue

Celestine is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant and events venue located on the DUMBO waterfront in Brooklyn. Located just under the Manhattan Bridge, the restaurant offers unparalleled views of the downtown city skyline. Executive Chef Angelica Ampil serves seasonal, soulful fare that draws inspiration from the Mediterranean coastline, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. This focus is mirrored in our wine list which highlights small coastal Mediterranean producers. Our bar program similarly marries the flavors of the spice route with classic cocktails. We are proud to be located within a LEED Gold Certified building and to be a part of the DUMBO community.

    Book Celestine!

    From our first conversation with the team at Celestine, we knew we'd found our venue. They were clear about what they could do for us and answered every question we had without making us feel rushed. The space itself is beautiful and inviting, with a warmth that made both us and our guests feel at home right away. What really stood out was how they accommodated every request we made, working with us to bring our vision to life. The pricing was reasonable and transparent, with no surprises along the way. We can't recommend Celestine enough to couples looking for a venue that truly cares about making their day special.

    AMAZING

    Wow, we just got married this past weekend, and it feels impossible to put into words how incredible our day was. It was literally perfect - everyone at Celestine is a true professional and they also really know how to throw an amazing party. Our guests told us all night that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to and that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding (of course!!!). Lots of guests told us they were excited to come back for dinner soon. Rose and Krystle especially need a shoutout as they were so communicative, kind, and organized from the start, and were truly a joy to work with. Highly, highly recommend for dinner, brunch, and your big day!!

    The Perfect Wedding!

    We are so happy we found Celestine and could host our wedding there! When we first came across this venue, we instantly knew that it ticked all of our boxes. The views of the Manhattan Bridge and the downtown Manhattan skyline are gorgeous, the Mediterranean-style food is fantastic, and the staff is professional and attentive. We visited several times before the wedding to sample the menu and treat friends and family to a great time, and we were consistently impressed with the quality and the service. Working with the Celestine events team, Nisrine, Kirsten, and Krystle, was a breeze. During the entire period leading up to the wedding, we were in constant contact and had several meetings, which made us able to relax throughout the process, knowing that everything was completely under control. We had our separate day-of coordinator who integrated seamlessly with the Celestine team, and Krystle, our Celestine coordinator, on the wedding day. Once the big day came around, we could not have been more prepared and at ease. Everything worked and turned out as beautiful and perfect as we had hoped! Many of our guests have said (and are still telling us!) that this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, with many of their compliments directed towards the venue, food, and staff. Among all the other wedding venues in DUMBO, Celestine stands out as a true gem. It has everything we could have wished for in a very intimate, beautiful setting that will leave memories for a lifetime and have us coming back for more!

    Dream venue

    As a vendor I was lucky to work with the Celestine team in their beautiful space for a client’s wedding this past summer. Not only was the staff incredibly helpful, the food delicious, and the ambiance totally on point, but also the ease of working in the space was among the best in Brooklyn. It really was a breeze from start to finish. Can’t wait to work here again!


Yes, all our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible.
Events typically begin at five hours; we do offer hour-long extensions as an a la carte addition to any event.
We're so sorry, but no! Unless it's just one or two special bottles, we don't have the capability for clients to provide their own alcohol.
As the client, no. But we do ask for certificates of insurance from any vendors you may hire - namely, photographers, videographers, DJs, etc.

We don't have the capability to produce a wedding cake at this time, but it's something that we're looking to develop! In the meantime, there are many wonderful bakeries in our neighborhood that we'd be happy to point you towards.
We do - typically, it's $5pp if you'd like your wedding cake served to all guests. That being said, it's always a charge that we're happy to discuss on a case-by-case basis.
We do! We love hosting ceremonies on our riverside terrace - the views are gorgeous, and the resulting photos are stunning. We also have the capability to host more intimate ceremonies indoors in colder months or if the weather isn't cooperating. We charge a $2500 fee for any on-site ceremonies. This covers an extra half hour of event time, plus the needed set-up and breakdown of the space.
