My images are a blend of formal photographic training and a passion for telling stories with pictures. I specialize in capturing natural, candid moments. I approach wedding photography as a documentarian with a deep love of family and a great respect for ritual.

I believe a wedding day deserves to be documented beautifully, as a sacred testament to love and life; recorded with the same care and compassion that two individuals in love have for one another. My best photographs are achieved through making a genuine connection with my subjects and by being fully engaged in the magnitude of the day.

    I count my lucky stars that my husband and I were fortunate enough to work with Carey, and her amazing second shooter, Sandy, for our wedding photos. Carey’s photos are simply works of art. She has the ability to create exquisite, photojournalistic images that are so full of emotion, the feeling of the moment simply leaps off the page. I searched long and hard for the “right” photographer for our wedding day and just cannot say enough how truly grateful we were to work with Carey. As if her photography talents were not enough, she (and Sandy!) are simply the warmest humans who are so genuinely happy to be part of the special moments they are photographing, and were rooting so deeply for our happiness we (and frankly our whole extended families) considered Carey and Sandy part of the family by the end of our wedding night. They integrated with our crew seamlessly and were in no way intrusive. Carey was also so patient with us during the planning phases, made time late in the evening to speak with us when she knew our work schedules were hectic and invited us down to her Brooklyn studio for a pre-wedding photo shoot to help with the pre-wedding jitters. Not to be understated is just how calming a presence Carey was to us on our wedding day. She can take two stressed humans and work her magic so they are having nothing but the best time ever (and feel like subjects of a Time magazine/Vogue cover story). Easily the best money we spent in the entire wedding process – we had so much fun together and we are obsessed with our wedding photos. Carey and Sandy are incredible talents – run, don’t walk to book if you are in need of any photography for life’s most special moments. We hope to have an excuse to work with them again soon.

    I can’t recommend Carey enough. I was looking for a documentary style, that really focused on the people and the moment in a pure way without a forced, editorial look. She delivered on that and then some, with beautiful, honest photos of the day that captured our family, the time and the place, and of course our love. It is also worth noting that Carey worked with us through two COVID reschedules, and could not have been more kind and easy to work with. That same easy way of being of course came through on our wedding day. She was so calm and easy to work with. We got all photos done ahead of schedule and she stayed close all night to make sure we got all the shots of family and friends that we had hoped for. Her kindness and energy was a beautiful addition to our day and the final images are spectacular.

    Carey was wonderful to work with. She was organized, very responsive, and helpful in finalizing my timeline for the day. The photos turned out so beautiful. We loved her documentary style of the event. And we have received so many compliments on our photos from friends and family. Would highly recommend her!

    I cannot recommend Carey enough. We were supposed to get married a month after the pandemic hit and changed our wedding date 4 times as a result. Carey was so understanding, patient, and such a pleasure to work with throughout the stressful process (of what spanned to almost 2 years). Moreover, I appreciate Carey's easy going nature which makes everything much more comfortable and effortless (in front of the camera as well). We received countless compliments on how amazing she is. And her photos--well they speak for itself. Carey did our engagement, elopement, and wedding shoot and I love every single photo she takes. I cannot recommend Carey enough!
