Cover Story Entertainment (as featured in all the leading and best publications all over New England and beyond as well as TV shows) was established by Chris Troxell, when he graduated from Berklee College of Music with a performance degree and a passion for perfection. Matt Berman is a dynamic and highly skilled alto & tenor saxophonist whose exceptional talent consistently elevates both recorded tracks and live performances to remarkable heights. A proud graduate of The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in New York City, he had the privilege of studying under legendary musicians such as Reggie Workman, Roy Hargrove, and Bernard Purdie, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience. Throughout his career, Matt has achieved numerous highlights, including touring extensively with Brandon Flowers (The Killers) during The Desired Effect World Tour and performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues.

The Brooklyn Beats is the inaugural event/wedding band founded by music industry veteran, Jon Shiffman. Jon is best known for his live work as a drummer for Grammy winner Jack Antonoff in the bands Steel Train and Bleachers. He has toured all over the world and his drumming can be heard on various National TV Commercials, and is featured in the 2024 release of Paramount Pictures’ Mean Girls movie. Since even before leaving the touring life in 2015, Jon has been a fixture in the New York private event/wedding band scene and has been a drummer, band leader, talent booker and event producer for the biggest agencies and bands in the area.

As a law student by day and a DJ by night, I get the best of both worlds. When I’m not studying or in class, I’m behind the DJ booth helping people celebrate life’s biggest moments.
