The Metropolitan Players

The Metropolitan Players are a NYC-based wedding band collective, created by a husband and wife team, with a mission to help you make musical memories. Music is tied to memory, and shouldn’t be taken lightly when planning your wedding. People won’t remember your flowers, or the cake - they’ll remember how they felt. They’ll remember those moments on the dance floor with their loved ones, where the rest of the world melted away for a few hours. THAT’S why we do what we do. We want your guests to leave saying, “that was the best wedding we’ve ever been to.”

Drew & Erin Coles created The Metropolitan Players for their own wedding after they couldn’t find the perfect band. Not only did they create the The Met Players out of everything they wanted for themselves (so it’s pretty darn awesome), they truly care about making each and every wedding just as beautiful, successful, and fun as their own. We specialize in weddings (because that’s how we started!), we have an impressive roster of talented musicians, we learn requests, we walk you through the musical process, and we’re unbelievably dedicated to making sure your wedding is unforgettable.

    The Met Players were amazing! We got married on 1/27/24 and we could not have been happier! Elizabeth ensured we were well taken care of and the band knew all the songs And how to engage with the crowd! It was absolutely perfect!!

    The Metropolitan Players were honestly one of our favorite vendors to work with for our wedding!! They were so incredibly professional and personable from day one. They even sent us a handwritten note after we booked them. Elizabeth, our coordinator, was with us every step of the way to help us make sure we had the best night of our lives. They were accommodating, flexible, and SO TALENTED!! My husband and I had so many people come up to us throughout the night to tell us how AWESOME our band was! Despite having a snowstorm on our wedding day, they were willing to work with us to make our day incredible. The Met Players had everyone up and dancing, and we are SO thankful we chose them for our special day!

    We absolutely loved having the Metropolitan Players play at our New Years Eve wedding! From the very start they were easy to work with and highly communicative about the process. They checked in frequently throughout and were key in helping to create a great timeline and set list. They were able to learn songs that were most important to us and played them brilliantly. Most importantly, they had the dance floor rocking all night long! Their 90's pop medley may have been the best song I heard all year. We would highly recommend working with them!!

    We are so happy we hired the Met Players! From the moment we first emailed them, we could sense their excitement for us and passion for what they do. They were incredibly communicative over email and very organized in terms of planning for our wedding day. We had a lot of specific requests and they accommodated every single one flawlessly (for example, we asked for some piano instrumental versions of Lord of the Rings songs to play before the ceremony and gave very specific timing instructions for songs to walk down the aisle to). The band completely understood the vibe we were going for which was a fun and lively dance floor, and the dance floor was truly packed all night. They helped us have an amazing hora, kept timelines on track by announcing speeches and parent dances, and ended their set with a great performance of Don't Stop Believin. I highly recommend the Met Players for a band that's truly excited, fun, and talented! We hadn't seen them live before we booked, but based on reviews and word of mouth we felt comfortable booking anyway and from the first email we got from our event coordinator I knew we made the right choice. We loved them, and so did our guests because we got many, many compliments!
