Mariachi Hidalgo was founded in 2017 and is led by our Musical Director Hernan Hidalgo Treviño who is a first-generation musician within his family. At the age of 21, Hernan is New York City’s, as well as the East Coast’s, 1st ever “Youngest Musical Director of a Mariachi Band”. Hernan graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for both the musical and culture of mariachi. Within the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York's exclusive places. Hernan's main goal is to inspire and motivate other youths to continue this musical tradition of mariachi.

Austin has a robust song list to choose from, and can learn special requests on demand. He is known for his expertise with Spanish and South American guitar. Austin provides all of his own professional music equipment, and can provide ceremony sound services/microphones for your officiant, vows and readings as well as hosting and MCing for reception.
