Sophia Shedd~Harpist

Set your perfect wedding atmosphere with a live harpist! Based in Astoria, NY, Sophia has been playing music at weddings and various events for much of the last decade. She can master whatever style you like, from classical and hymns to pop and improv. In addition to her experience playing weddings and events, Sophia has also established herself as a harpist in the greater nyc area, playing in orchestras, working in film and as a pit musician. She also maintains a steadily growing private harp studio.

Sophia will discuss a playlist with you and is always open to the opportunity to learn new repertoire, should you wish for specific songs. She will play a 20-25 minute prelude as your loved ones arrive before supplying the soundtrack to your romantic ceremony. She can also stay on to provide the sounds of the cocktail hour and is open to working with another instrumentalist or vocalist to enhance the overall experience.
