We had a fantastic experience working with Elizabeth. She was the day-of-coordinator for our 150-person wedding in Oakland, CA in May 2023. The day before, and the day of our wedding went so smoothly thanks to her and her assistant Rachel. We were so grateful for her expertise and support – she did so much for us on the day of the wedding, and I’m certain she was doing things behind the scenes that we didn’t even know about that kept everyone and everything running perfectly, and on time. We confirmed our date with Elizabeth 9 months out, found and signed contracts with the rest of our vendors, and then started communicating with her again a few months out. She helped us with our timeline, got us thinking about quite a few things we hadn’t thought of, and then a few weeks before the wedding, we had a seamless handover. She helped our vision come to life, was very calming and kind, had great communication with the rest of our vendors, and we can’t recommend her enough.

She also helped a ton with planning the full schedule for the day and had a good sense of how long each thing would take. And on the day-of she put out sooo many fires- unexpected guests showing up, adding an extra reception table, grabbing the vows that I forgot in the car last minute, coordinating with all the vendors. And every event was exactly on time and perfectly smooth. Even if you're doing a mostly DIY or budget wedding- day-of coordination is sooo worth it and I highly recommend Perfection Unlimited. They're super professional, calm, and kind. So grateful to their team for all their hard work.

Since she's based in Walnut Creek and has done many weddings there, she knows all the ins and outs of the garden and has great connections with local vendors. Her knowledge, responsiveness, and fantastic suggestions made a huge difference whenever we needed help. We started with a phone call to discuss our wedding vision and get to know each other. About six months before the wedding, we did a walkthrough of the venue together. Jacqueline was always there to promptly answer our questions through email, and she even joined us on our trip to Chairs for Affairs (rentals) to help pick out linens, tables, decorations, bar stands, and more. We saw her again at our rehearsal dinner, where her direction made everything run smoothly. The day before the wedding, she graciously helped print and frame all our signs. On the day of our wedding, everything went off without a hitch, thanks to Jacqueline's help with the schedule. She even made sure we ate! Anna and Lucky at Darling Buds are an incredible team. They led my husband and I through the entire planning process and were there for us throughout the big day. We had the best day of our lives at our wedding. People kept saying that I didn't seem stressed on the day of, and I said that it was true - I really wasn't stressed. Anna and Lucky planned the day incredibly well, and I was just so excited to marry my love. From the very beginning, they truly got to know us as a couple and asked great questions to find out exactly what kind of wedding we wanted. For us, this included a fusion of scottish and chinese traditions and some decor that incorporated our pets! They kept us on track with monthly meetings/powerpoints and stayed in touch via email between meetings. They kept within our budget and assembled a dream team of vendors. They worked very well with the team at our venue and with all of the vendors. Our family and friends also enjoyed meeting them and thought they did an amazing job. We cannot recommend The Darling Buds enough! They are both truly special and wonderful people with an amazing talent for planning weddings. We had the most wonderful experience working with Samantha Gruwell for our Nov 2021 Deer Park Villa wedding. She did the month of coordination and it was the best decision we could have made. We were feeling overwhelmed with all of the details that still needed ironed out those last few weeks leading up the wedding, and Sam was so helpful in getting everything organized, and really put us at ease. She took control of communication with all our vendors (venue, photographer, caterer, DJ, florist) and ensured our special day had a well planned schedule that ran seamlessly. Sam was so hands-on throughout the entire process. We did multiple zoom calls to go over details and questions, and she did a walk through of the venue with us a few weeks prior. She helped us organize our rehearsal to ensure the ceremony had the right timing and flow. And she helped us perfectly execute it on the day of. She even stuck around through the very end of the evening and helped to dismantle some of the flowers and decor. Sam really put her heart and soul into ensuring our wedding day went flawlessly, and she’s also one of the kindest, most thoughtful people you’ll meet. Our wedding was an absolute dream, and we owe it all to Sam for making our dream a reality! Cannot recommend her enough for your wedding planning needs.

2 Friends Events was established in 2010 by...2 Friends! Lindsey and I met as co-maids of honor in our friend Wendi's wedding. We loved working together, so we decided to take a chance and start our own event planning company. Lindsay has since retired to be with her family and I now run 2 Friends Events with the help of my amazing team.

There is no question that choosing 2 Friends Events as our wedding planner was the best decision we made throughout the process. (And of course, we made a lot of other smart and delightful decisions thanks to the 2FE team!) From our first call through the week after our wedding, Nichole and her team provided us constant support, seamless logistics and research, and brought so much joy to the planning process. As our planner, Nichole listened, helped keep us focused on what we said was important to us, and was always five steps ahead with her proactivity and organization. And my goodness, did she bring our vision to life! Everything from it being colorful and vibrant to finding an ADA friendly venue to incorporating our dog and favorite beverage Spindrift to herding us all on the wedding day (no strong feat!).
