At ImPerfect Events, we believe the most meaningful celebrations are human and emotion-driven — which means they’re often a little messy, sometimes unpredictable, and never truly “perfect.” Those moments are usually where the joy lives, and what make a day feel unique and real. We were founded on the belief that weddings and events should be about love and community. They should feel warm, welcoming, and joyful — and we believe that same ease can exist in the planning process, too. In an overwhelming world, our goal is to create a planning experience that brings clarity, organization, and calm without losing heart.

We lead with transparency and clarity. Our pricing is straightforward, vendor costs are clearly explained, and we handle vendor coordination and payments so there are no surprises. As soon as couples book any planning package, they receive access to our planning tools, along with monthly office hours for ongoing support. Most importantly, we bring a calming, grounding presence to the process — helping planning feel supported, organized, and manageable instead of overwhelming.

DO NOT HIRE. RUINED MY WEDDING
I am furious about how Sydney of Imperfect Events handled our wedding. We went over the timeline and guest entrance repeatedly, and she still failed to coordinate some of the most basic, important parts of the day. I spent so much time planning every detail, only to watch it fall apart while wondering where our coordinator even was. Sydney knew cocktail hour started at 5:00 PM. Somehow, the venue thought it started at 5:30, and our guests were locked out. When they were finally let in, they had to use an alternative door, which created a horrible bottleneck. It also ruined the first impression we had carefully planned: guests entering through the south lobby and seeing our portrait boards, welcome sign, and welcome table. The directional signs were placed at the wrong door, too, despite Sydney knowing exactly where guests were supposed to enter. Guests came through an area where they could see me, the bride, before the ceremony. Many missed the welcome display entirely. Barely anyone signed our guest book or saw the portrait boards and welcome sign that I paid so much for and planned in such detail. I cannot recreate that moment or get that money back. These were not tiny details I expected someone to read my mind about. They were central parts of the timeline and guest experience that we had discussed. And these are only a few of the things that went wrong. Throughout the day, I kept wondering where Sydney was and why I was the one noticing problems and telling her to go deal with them. What was the point of hiring a coordinator if I still had to manage the coordination at my own wedding? I trusted Sydney with one of the biggest days of my life, and I am honestly so angry and regretful that I chose her. I should have been able to be present at my wedding. Instead, I was left dealing with preventable mistakes and watching plans I cared deeply about go to waste.

Caring, thoughtful planner & coordinator!
Sydney is a wonderful coordinator. Coordinating photography and video services, I have first-hand experience with the way Sydney moves effortlessly through the demands of a wedding day making sure every vendor has what they need and is doing the best for their part of the experience, all while protecting the couple and allowing them to have a seamless wedding experience. What makes Sydney stand out is what can't be taught: genuine care, a people-first approach, and attention to detail that comes being present and immersed in the flow of the day. When I get to work with Sydney, I know the day is going to be that much better, so I want couples to have confidence when booking Sydney as a planner & coordinator.

Amazing!
Sydney was phenomenal as our wedding coordinator. She was incredibly attentive, hands-on, and decorated our venue beautifully. She stayed longer than planned to make sure everything went perfectly and went above and beyond to support us throughout the day. From helping in the wedding suite to ensuring we got our couple photos, she made us feel completely taken care of. We truly felt like VIPs on our wedding day and are so grateful for her dedication and professionalism.

Amazing Help on Our Colorful Day
Working with Sydney was such a great experience. She was so open to hearing about our (extensive) ideas and themes, all the miscellaneous thoughts we wanted to talk about, but then helping us understand what we could realistically do while staying true to our vision. Sydney was so on it, being detail oriented, keeping us on track, and helping us through achieving our milestones. Thank you so much, Sydney for all you did to make our special day one we'll never forget!

Sydney is amazing!
Sydney brought such a calming, confident energy to the wedding day! She kept everything organized, on time, and flowing so naturally that it felt effortless for everyone involved. She was incredibly attentive and quick-thinking, handling every little pivot and behind-the-scenes detail with ease, from coordinating décor setup and family florals to helping with the veil and bustle. Beyond her organization and professionalism, Sydney was genuinely kind and uplifting throughout the entire day, constantly hyping up the bride, offering reassurance, and creating such a positive, supportive atmosphere. As the Maid of Honor who helped with pre-planning, I was blown away by how smoothly everything ran under her care. Thanks to Sydney, we were all able to relax, be present, and just enjoy the day knowing everything was completely handled!
