Forever grateful for Shana and her team!

Hiring Shana was one of the biggest blessings of our entire wedding journey. From our first consultation call, she stood out. She was warm, modern, and in tune with we cared about, yet carried herself with a professionalism and clarity that made us feel confident. She had a clear plan and process, and we knew we'd be in good hands. We brought Shana in after we had already started planning, and she jumped in seamlessly. She helped with vendor procurement, ongoing planning, facilitated the rehearsal, and acted as our full day-of coordinator. Throughout the entire process, I had lots of questions - big, small, aesthetic-related, and everything in between. She handled my constant stream of thoughts and clarifications with grace. What impressed us was her ability to keep us on track while also lightening our emotional load. She stepped in as a mediator with vendors, friends, and family when needed - removing stress and giving us space to breathe. As we got closer to the wedding date, our meetings with her became an essential part of my sanity. I always entered the calls stressed or overwhelmed and left feeling grounded and supported. Shana was amazing at brainstorming solutions, pivoting when something changed, and offering ideas and perspectives we hadn't thought of. She was calm, confident, resourceful, and a reliable sounding board. During the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself, she was dialed in. She picked up on my stress before I even said anything and took on the weight so I didn't have to. One example: she would check in with us from time to time, but if we were chatting with guests or another vendor, she intentionally waited off to the side (but in our peripheral) so we knew she had something important to inform us about but without intruding on our moment. Ironically, I was surprised how little I saw her on our wedding day - it wasn't because she wasn't present, but because she was everywhere, quietly handling every detail behind the scenes. She and her team ensured the day ran without a hitch (or at least kept anything stressful far away). Everything felt seamless from my perspective, and that is entirely thanks to her and her team. If you're considering hiring Shana, do it. She is professional, creative, reassuring, patient, and genuinely invested in making your day perfect. She allowed us to fully enjoy the entire process, and we'll forever be grateful.

    Joyous Occasions review

Working with Joyous Occasions was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From start to finish, Shana was direct and straightforward with us, which made the planning process feel easy and stress-free. When we hit a snag with a with breakdown just weeks before the big day, they jumped in and solved it fast without making it a bigger deal than it needed to be. Shana kept us on schedule throughout the whole planning process, and everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. The value we got from their service was incredible—they made what could have been overwhelming feel totally manageable. We'd recommend Joyous Occasions to anyone looking for planners who actually know what they're doing.

    Walkers 6/6/26

We hired Shana with Joyous Occasions as our day-of wedding coordinator about two months before our wedding, and from day one she was absolutely amazing. She is down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and incredibly experienced. Even though we brought her on a little later in the planning process, she quickly jumped in, reviewed all of our vendor contracts, and made sure nothing was overlooked. Shana was present at our rehearsal and ensured everyone knew exactly what to do, which gave us so much confidence going into the big day. On our wedding day, everything ran seamlessly because of her organization, professionalism, and attention to detail. She was incredibly hands-on, always available when needed, and even helped bustle my dress. I truly cannot thank Shana enough for the time, care, and effort she put into making our wedding day perfect. She went above and beyond in every way. If you're looking for a coordinator who is professional, organized, experienced, and genuinely cares about her couples, I highly recommend Shana and Joyous Occasions!

No. We only coordinate one wedding per day and do not book multiple weddings in the same weekend. This allows us to be fully present, well-rested, and completely focused on your celebration from start to finish. You deserve our undivided attention and the highest level of care on one of the most important days of your life.
I've coordinated 65+ weddings—and counting! From intimate backyard celebrations to large venue events, each wedding has strengthened my ability to anticipate challenges, manage every detail, and keep the day running seamlessly. My goal is to create a stress-free experience so you can be fully present and enjoy every moment of your wedding day.
No wedding is perfect, but my job is to make sure you never have to worry about the unexpected. I stay calm, think quickly, and solve problems behind the scenes so your day stays stress-free. I've moved an entire outdoor wedding indoors due to bad weather, replaced a lost wedding cake before the couple knew there was an issue, and even repurposed flowers from centerpieces when a florist forgot accent blooms. My focus is always on finding solutions quickly so you can enjoy every moment without interruption.
Absolutely! I’ll be your main point of contact from start to finish and the one coordinating your wedding day. I intentionally book only one wedding per weekend so I can give each couple my full attention. Communication depends on the package you choose, but no matter which service you select, you’ll always have the guidance, support, and responsiveness needed to ensure everything comes together seamlessly.
The sooner, the better! Booking early helps secure your date and gives us more time to prepare. I’ve worked with couples who booked me over a year in advance, as well as those who reached out just two months before their wedding. No matter when you book, I’ll step in where you need me most and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
Our packages are offered at a flat rate with no hidden fees. Every wedding is unique, so we can customize our services to fit your needs and budget while providing transparent, upfront pricing.
We'll begin with a complimentary Zoom consultation to discuss your vision, planning progress, and how I can best support you. Afterward, I'll send a customized quote, contract, and invoice. Once your contract is signed and deposit received, your date is officially reserved. Depending on your package, we'll schedule one-hour Zoom planning sessions to review vendors, décor, timeline, floor plan, wedding party, and your planning checklist. Our final meeting is a full wedding review. I'll lead your rehearsal (and venue walkthrough if included), then arrive 2–3 hours early on your wedding day and stay through the final song.
I am a certified wedding planner with hands-on experience coordinating traditional, non-traditional, and religious weddings. I began my career as an intern, where I learned the ins and outs of wedding planning and event management, and have since successfully planned and coordinated weddings through my own company. My experience has equipped me to manage every detail with professionalism, organization, and care, ensuring each couple's wedding day runs seamlessly.
I began planning and coordinating smaller events such as birthday parties, bridal showers, and holiday celebrations. After planning my own wedding, I discovered my passion for helping couples create unforgettable wedding days. That experience inspired me to launch my own wedding planning and coordination business, where I've had the privilege of helping couples bring their unique vision to life.
I have worked with couples from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and traditions, planning everything from intimate ceremonies to larger celebrations. I value diversity and believe every love story deserves to be celebrated. My goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive experience where every couple feels heard, supported, and confident.
One of my favorite recent projects was a backyard wedding that we planned together over the course of a year. The couple had a clear vision and were very detail-oriented, but they were also kind, collaborative, and open to new ideas and perspectives. It was incredibly rewarding to watch everything come together after months of planning. The wedding was beautiful, personal, and truly reflected their fun-loving personalities and the close-knit relationships they share with their family and friends. Seeing their vision come to life and watching their loved ones celebrate alongside them made it an unforgettable experience.
When hiring a wedding planner or coordinator, look for someone who not only has experience but also communicates well and makes you feel comfortable. Read reviews, ask about their planning process, and make sure their personality and style align with yours. Your planner will be by your side throughout one of the most important days of your life, so trust and communication are just as important as experience. Most importantly, choose someone who listens and is committed to bringing it to life while making the planning process as stress-free as possible.
Before reaching out to a wedding planner or coordinator, couples should think about their wedding date, estimated guest count, budget, preferred venue (if selected), and the level of planning support they need. It's also helpful to have a vision for the style or atmosphere you'd like to create. Even if you don't have all the details figured out, having a general idea of your priorities will help your planner provide the best recommendations and create a plan that's tailored to your needs.
