I booked with them somewhat far out from my wedding, but my call with Kate, the owner, as a consultation was a match right off the bat. She got to know me as a human not just a bride, and took great care in my vision for my day. Gina, whom I sincerely apologized to for all of my questions and emails (lol) was SO incredibly kind and patient and made any updates to our contract or services any time I asked! Now, onto the artists: I had my trial with Jeannette, who made me feel so beautiful and comfortable, I knew we were a good match! I felt confident with her as lead artist! On the day of, Jeannette, Myriam, Jenna, Lorena and Rene all exceeded any and all expectations. There were a total of 30 (I think) services being performed and I have never seen such a “well oiled machine” of hair and makeup before. They took time and care for each service but also moved so quickly that they were finished early. We didn’t have to start at 6am with that many people, which honestly, was a huge concern. Everyone felt and looked STUNNING and I truly could not stop staring at myself after my hair and makeup were finished. Haven’t gotten all of our professional photos back, so including what I can! Including a before photo, an after selfie, an iPhone photo at the end of the night & one of my professional photos from afar so you can see how glowy and dewy she made me look!”

Kesha and Reyna are both such sweethearts and brought calm, glamorous vibes to the wedding morning. I knew we were in great hands with them after seeing what a beautiful job they did at my trial. I am not someone who wears makeup on a regular basis and was concerned about not feeling like myself, but this fear was completely unfounded. They simply made me look like an elevated version of myself – polished and flawless for my wedding day. I chose Windy City Glam in part because of their expertise in glam waves, and Reyna executed these perfectly! Kesha truly went above and beyond, covering up my tattoo per my request and making subtle changes so my wedding day makeup photographed even better than my trial. She also returned the next morning to do my makeup again for my second ceremony, and went as far as to touch up my hair and help me into my dress when my mom and sister were nowhere to be found. Moonflower

“We had our wedding at Moonflower, and it was amazing! We originally found Moonflower on Zola. Although we are from the area, we had never visited before, and the photos immediately caught our attention. The bar fit our vibe perfectly, and after visiting a few times, we knew it was the right place for us. We rented both spaces: the main bar upstairs and Nightshade, the speakeasy downstairs. Moonflower has a small stage in the main bar, which we used for our ceremony. The space already has so much character that it needed very little decorating. We brought small flower vases and an altar piece that the bride and her now mother in law made together. After the ceremony, we held cocktail hour and served food buffet style in the main bar. Later, everyone moved downstairs to Nightshade. Its lounge atmosphere and dance floor were perfect for our 50 to 60 guests. Some people relaxed around the cocktail tables while others danced, so everyone could enjoy the night in their own way. Moonflower’s event organizer, Morgan, was wonderful. She made the entire planning process feel easy and was a joy to work with. She helped turn our ideas into reality, assisting with day of logistics, décor, beverage packages, and every question that came up. She was always responsive and available. Morgan also helped us think through details that had not occurred to us, including coffee for our guests, explaining the parking situation, contacting nearby businesses about using their lots, and recommending DJs. We ultimately hired one of the DJs she suggested. Her extra support was incredibly helpful and took a great deal of stress out of planning. If you have not tried Moonflower’s drinks, you are missing out. Their regular cocktail menu is fantastic, and our experience was even more special because of a custom cocktail session with Zach. He created signature drink options for each of us based on our tastes and favorite cocktails. Every option was spectacular, and the final drinks felt personal and special. We chose Funeral Potatoes for the food. Since they already handle the food at Moonflower, we were able to try many dishes beforehand. Our guests raved about everything. We especially recommend the brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, and caprese sandwiches. Alexis, who heads up Funeral Potatoes, was also extremely helpful with selecting the menu. The only outside food we brought in was our wedding cake. The entire staff was phenomenal. Everyone treated the occasion with the perfect balance of care, professionalism, and fun. The night went off without a hitch and was truly one of the best nights of our lives. Moonflower was also extremely reasonable compared with other venues we considered in the city, especially with an open bar and food available on site. Street parking was plentiful, and none of our guests had trouble finding a spot. For anyone looking for a relaxed wedding for 50 to 60 people with a memorable lounge atmosphere, fantastic staff, buffet style food, and exceptional cocktails, Moonflower should be at the top of your list.”

“We just had our wedding at Chicago Winery in December and it was absolutely perfect. The space is beautiful and speaks for itself - very little decor needed. It's particularly beautiful for a fall/winter "dinner party" vibe (which is what we were looking for) with the dark wood and dim lights. Chris was our venue coordinator and he was amazing - answering our million questions and helping make the day go exactly as we hoped! The food was also amazing - even better than the tasting which was a delight :) We had SO many guests come up to us raving about the space and the food, which is all you could hope for! Highly highly recommend Chicago Winery!”

“My wife and I were married here on April 12th 2026 and it was the best day of our lives. Walden was an absolutely major contributor to the best day of our lives. Oh and by the way, it was the 2nd wedding we planned. Our original plan was having a wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in April, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel 50 days out and plan a whole new wedding. Walden saved us, especially our wedding planners, Sydni and Katie-Rose. The venue was empathetic to our situation and they were so prepared to take on the challenge and help us get a new wedding planned from scratch. From the start, we felt so comfortable and knew that we were going to pull it off and still throw the wedding of our dreams despite our circumstance. The communication was open, and regular. Walden put us in touch with all sorts of vendors. They allowed my wife and I to consider our options, while keeping us on a tight schedule. All of our vendors expressed positive notes and experiences with Walden. Both spaces, the ceremony area, and the reception/cocktail area are beautiful spaces that give any couple an open canvas to design their dream wedding. That's exactly what we got. Our guests loved the ceremony, they loved the space, they loved the giant bar, they loved the incredible drinks, and they ESPECIALLY loved the food. I will recommend any engaged couple or a couple interested in renewing their vows to host their event at Walden. Ask for Sydni and/or Katie-Rose and your visions will come true!”

There’s no one better equipped to plan your wedding than Lety and her team. The level of experience and expertise, not to mention the warmth and kindness that they all bring, is next level. Seriously, watching them in action — they’re like the SEAL Team 6 of weddings! The best part? They make sure that the bride and groom’s needs are taken care of above all else. For the entire year leading up to the wedding, our biggest advocate and support system was Lety. She was always quick to respond, creating a constant and reliable channel of communication. Any confusion or ambiguity during the planning process was immediately addressed or resolved. She handled every question, issue, or idea right away, and without judgement! That is what drew me to this team in the first place. From the very first conversation that I had with Lety, I could tell that she cared about our day and us as a couple. She made it known immediately that she had our backs and she was going to do everything possible to make my ‘colorful’ and ‘vibrant’ vision a reality! On the actual day, we were able to make this happen and the space was exactly as I had imagined it! Our guests were gawking at the decor and raving about the small details that we had curated. Behind the scenes, this was weeks and weeks of constant back and forth conversations. Tweaking and updating and pivoting. Throughout it all, Lety’s dedication and commitment never wavered! At the end of the night, the people were lit and the vibes were so high that no one wanted to leave the dance floor! I had to physically usher people towards the exit.
