My name is Kate Scott Daly, and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a Chicago native and have been a professional photographer for nearly a decade. I am obsessed with capturing the perfect moment that will make you gasp and say "Oh my god, this is amazing!" Being a queer woman, it is so important to me that you feel safe, loved, and beautiful every step of the way. If you're looking for someone you can relax with and just be yourself, you've found me! Let's face it: it can be awkward being in front of a camera. Even I feel nervous sometimes! I understand that anxiety and will do everything I can to make you feel fabulous!

From getting down on one knee to the first dance, I will help you every step of the way. I have helped couples plan surprise proposals then photographed their walk down the aisle. Having one photographer on your journey can make those moments even more special and intimate. That’s the benefit of working with me: I run my own business, so you will always talk to just me, and you will always work with just me.

Starting at 90 minutes of coverage, including photos around the courthouse/desired location (up to 10 people in attendance) and a high-resolution digital album of all edited images in a password protected gallery. $600 Please note: Travel fee applies if 30+ miles outside of Chicago, IL. Starting at 6 hours of coverage, with the option to add an additional photographer for full coverage! This package includes a custom, high-resolution digital album for you to view, download, and share any and all photos with guests. Unlimited guests! Second shooter available for an additional $75/hr.

    Kate photographed my now wife and I for our elopement. She also photographed our engagement the year prior. We highly recommend her. She is a brilliant photographer who makes every moment special. Her infectious positive energy really puts you at ease. Kate’s guidance on how to take photos, plus her anecdotes about Chicago, made us super comfortable and relaxed during our sessions. Her help with poses, general tips and outstanding eye for detail keep us coming back. We’ve worked with Kate on 2 occasions now, and it definitely won’t be the last time. Our pictures for our engagement and our elopement are phenomenal! I love the way Kate captured the joy and excitement in each image. Kate is the absolute best and I would 10/10 would recommend her to anyone looking to have portraits taken.

    We cannot recommend Kate enough! From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely comfortable and celebrated our love with so much enthusiasm. As a queer couple, it was important for us to work with someone who not only respected but truly celebrated queer weddings, and Kate went above and beyond. She took the time to help us clarify our vision for our wedding photos, which was especially helpful since we only had 6 weeks to plan our wedding and felt a little overwhelmed by the process. She was a great guide and we immediately knew we were in good hands! Kate’s associate Ryan shot the photos on our wedding day and they captured every special moment—from the big emotional vows to the smallest, most intimate glances—with such artistry and care. The photos are breathtaking, full of life, and truly reflect the joy of our day. Right when Ryan arrived, they jumped in with capturing photos of small details and worked to capture everything we wanted for our special day. Kate and Ryan were both an absolute delight to work with—professional, fun, and incredibly talented.     My fiancée and I were photographed for our proposal/engagement by Kate and we loved her work! I found Kate on Zola and loved her portfolio. The diverse clientele and the way Kate was able to capture everyone so beautifully was a huge driver in choosing her to photograph us. When I reached out to Kate to get started with planning, I was blown away by her thoroughness, responsiveness, and clarity. She walked me through her pricing, what to expect, and even offered to help with light planning for the surprise proposal. I was super nervous but Kate was so kind and helped put me completely at ease. The day of the proposal (she said yes btw), Kate stayed in contact with me and gave me updates. Our original spot was busy, then free, then busy again lol. Kate arrived early and was scoping out the location, which helped so much! My fiancée and I don’t take a lot of photos, so I was a little worried about how our session would go. I had nothing to worry about! Kate’s energy was intoxicating in the best way! We felt so comfortable when taking photos. Kate had planned out poses and gave us tips the entire time. 10/10 would recommend her! The photos turned out amazing too! Kate gave us a few preview photos a few days later and we loved them. We still have a few more photos that Kate is finishing editing, but we’re so confident that they’ll be as fantastic as the previews. Overall, we really enjoyed our time with Kate and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

    Kate was absolutely AMAZING! Her energy was fantastic and I felt so comfortable chatting with her and following her instructions for photos. My now fiancé could not have chosen anyone better to document such an important moment in our lives. Our photos so far are PERFECT! 1000/10 would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!
