Jay & Nicole Vega decided to pursue a career together in the art of Photography. Met & married in Chicago in 2013, two people set out on a business venture of a lifetime. While Nicole is the main photographer of the company, we have also expanded and hired reliable, talented photographers to work along side with us, while still maintaining a small business feel.

We feel we are more affordable than most other photographers in the Chicagoland area and can provide high end quality service. Our photos have an artistic style all while helping you enjoy your wedding day and not taking TOO much time spent on photos.

    The Still Life Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Nicole was incredibly responsive, typically getting back to us within an hour whenever we had a question or concern. Her communication style was professional yet personable, making us feel at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of her work was truly above and beyond what we were expecting. Nicole listened intently to my concerns before and during the big day, and she expertly kept us on track the entire night. They say you get what you pay for and I definitely got my money's worth - the photos are stunning and I'm so grateful for their hard work. All around, it was an amazing experience working with The Still Life Photography and I would absolutely use them again in a heartbeat.

    Amazing photos!

    From the moment we first connected with Nicole from The Still Life Photography, we knew we were in good hands. Her communication style was prompt, informative and detailed, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work is simply stunning - the photos we've received so far are beautifully timeless and capture the essence of our special day in the most striking way. Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Photographers usually book shortly after the couple books the venue, so we are just as filled up as they are usually.
Yes! We have assistants available for larger weddings (mainly huge wedding parties over 30 people) and 2 other photographers. We have second shooters who have shot weddings solo before as well and are very talented!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We do NOT outsource, so your images will never leave the hands of The Still Life Photography.
No, not at this time. We specialize in photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. We do have recommendations we can offer and videographers we have worked with many times!
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. However, we offer a 1 week sneak peek to hold you over!
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. Most couples with a full day packages see well over 1000 images.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them. We are happy to supply you with a copy as well.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted 1st or 2nd shooters. We have quite the dedicated team and have you covered!
