A cinematic eye. --- A bleeding heart. --- An inclusive spirit. --- I've picked up a camera just about every day since I fell in love with photography in 2013. Though every shoot holds something unique, it takes a lot to catch me off guard after a decade in business. I pride myself on my ability to quickly connect with my clients, making them feel comfortable, cared for, and confident that they look great. Being a helpful and calming presence in the midst of your wedding is second nature to me. Basically, I try to treat people how I want to be treated: with fairness and understanding!
INCLUSIVE: I love getting to experience a huge variety of unique cultures up close. On the technical side, I am proud of my ability to capture the radiance of Black skin tones and help interracial couples look their best together. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I love love! EMPATHIC: To get those shots where a person's feelings are written across their face requires a real connection. ENGAGING: I have a genuine interest in people! Building friends as I go helps me become part of the event. COLLABORATIVE: I've got my go-tos, but I'm ready to hear your ideas! We can create something together we never could have without each other.

Engagement & Wedding Photography
Zach was absolutely phenomenal to work with!! He provided high quality photos and really captured so many organic shots. He truly listens to his clients and is extremely flexible. We had the privilege of having Zach take our engagement, bridal shower, and wedding photos. He takes great pride in the work he delivers for his clients and you can see that in his photography. We will definitely use him in the future!! Class act human being and very respectful. Highly highly recommend!!
Zach Caddy - authentic and artsy
Months later, I'm finally pouring through the hundreds of photos taken on my daughter’s February wedding day by Zach and Mel. These are not your typical wedding photos - they are beautifully moody and warm. The candid shots bring the stories of relationships to life, without feeling staged. They capture sincere expressions and energy. Zach has a gift for spotting meaningful moments without subjects even realizing he’s there. His calmness and demeanor made us feel more relaxed; he is thoughtful and adept at handling stress or anxiousness that can occur during the event. He worked with 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen, along with 300 guests, with empathy and ease. Though my daughter already wrote a lovely review of Zach’s work, I felt compelled to write my own, as I’m so grateful to him for preserving these moments for us.

From the moment we met Zach for our virtual consultation, he made us comfortable and wholly confident that we should choose him to be our wedding photographer. He was incredibly warm, cracked some jokes, and came across as very genuine and flexible -- willing to build our contract around exactly what we needed. Those same attributes carried over through the months leading up to our wedding, and especially the final weeks, when I shared over my highly-detailed planning docs (I didn't have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator so it came in a wave and some last minute edits) and a list of key shots I wanted him to capture. On the big day, he was a calming and friendly presence for us and our guests, was patient with wrangling our families, worked well with our other vendors, and, of course, took beautiful photos. They turned out exactly how I wanted and we got them within 3 weeks from our wedding date. I haven't been able to stop scrolling through them since. I'm so glad our joyous memories were captured by Zach and his sister, Louise.
Great photos, great dude!
Zach did a wonderful job at our wedding this past summer at the Garfield Park Conservatory! Zach captured so many candid, tender moments throughout the whole night. He was able to wrangle 30 people for a large family photo with ease. The photos so perfectly show all the love and joy in the room that night. Great photos, great dude!
