Working with Norah is 10/10
From our first conversation, Norah was an absolute pleasure and clearly very experienced. She really listened and guided us when we talked about our music tastes and helped us build a playlist that worked for our families and friends, even though we all like very different stuff. When we threw a curveball at her last minute—a family friend singing the father-daughter dance acapella—Norah rolled with it and adjusted everything on the fly. She brought great energy to our reception, was super engaging with our guests, and kept the dance floor packed all night. We'd absolutely recommend Modern Love DJs. If we got to re-do our wedding, we'd 100% book Norah again!

Above and beyond
Norah truly went above and beyond for our wedding! We knew Norah was the right DJ for us the first time we met with her based on how relaxed and confident she made us feel. Her organization was top-notch, and communication was always prompt and easy. She used an app that helped keep us organized and think through things we weren't even aware of. She herself was especially organized on the timeline of the day, and also had great musical instincts to help us fill in the blanks as we aren't the biggest music people. All the music from pre-ceremony through cocktail hour and dinner, and most importantly, dancing was great. The day of the wedding Norah proved how organized and flexible she was. She handled all the technical aspects of multiple microphones and music cues superbly. Then things turned sideways when our venue lost power before the dancing, but Norah kicked into high gear, using a Bluetooth speaker to play our first dance, and then plugging into a power bank to get the big speakers going so we could dance and party in the dark. It turned into a magical and memorable wedding, and Norah rolled with the punches so well that we hardly minded the power outage. She truly went above and beyond to make our night special. 10/10 would recommend!

Norah is the coolest and was a joy to work with for our May 2026 wedding. We met Norah on a zoom call and later had 2-3 other calls to gather details and talk through the flow of the day. We contracted her as both our DJ and photobooth operator. In the months leading up to our wedding, Norah gave us access to a digital platform called Vibo DJ to add songs directly from Spotify/Apple Music, which made plugging in playlists a breeze. The platform also provided a loose timeline for the day/what song is played when, which was very helpful. The day of, Norah arrived on time and kept the good vibes going! She proactively managed the potential echo in our venue (which had vaulted ceilings). The photobooth was a hit with guests, Norah provided a backdrop, the camera, printed photo strips, as well as a guest book for guests to tape in photos/write notes. Norah's personality was what sold us. She was easy-going, kind, and so fun to talk to! She went above and beyond for us, even offering to mix a Father/Daughter dance mashup for us. We always looked forward to speaking with her throughout the planning process. If you are looking for a DJ for your event, Norah is your girl!

Norah is Fantastic DJ!
Firstly, before all the details, Norah was a phenomenal DJ at our wedding and you should hire her! We picked her, out of the many DJs we interviewed, because of her friendly and professional vibes. As a solo operator you get to work with her for the whole process which was a big plus for us over the larger collectives that felt too impersonal. Wedding prep with Norah was easy and comprehensive, discussing everything from song choices on the dance floor to the exact order of speakers at the reception and the session left us confident going into the big day. And on that big day, everything went incredibly smoothly! The ceremony was picture perfect hitting all the cues and the cocktail hour and dinner went off without a hitch with her filling in lovely music from our vague suggestions. She was very responsive to our guests adjusting the music to better accommodate conversation. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, she killed it during the dancing, keeping the dance floor packed all for the whole evening by perfectly blending our requested songs and vibes for an amazing night we will never forget! TLDR: Norah has been in the wedding DJ business for a long time because she is great at what she does and she delivers on your big day!
