Yazz Events has been bringing exciting music experiences for clients since 2010! Owned by Amy Yassinger, Yazz Events specializes in customizing musical options! Both party orchestras are led by women and play ALL genres of music from Top 40 to Country to Disco to Swing to Bubble Gum Pop to Sinatra, to 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s/00s to Motown to EVERYTHING in between: -Yazz Jazz the Experience (led by Amy) -Heat Wave Orchestra (led by Brooke) -Yazz Jazz Strings plays Classical/Romantic Pop/Disney/Movie Themes -Yazz Jazz Swings plays the Great American Songbook, Blues, R & B and more -Pro DJs/emcees!
We specialize in customization. We don't limit the amount of songs you can request and furthermore, we have an awesome ONLINE planning tool where you get to pick your "must plays" and "do not plays". Based on your vision, we curate a playlist that will keep the dance floor packed all night long.

Professionalism personified
Our experience with Yazz Events can be summarized as follows: professionalism from beginning to end. Amy was an absolute standout amongst the vendors we dealt with for our wedding. Amy was communicative, engaged, and always invested in the outcome. Amy went above and beyond to be available to answer questions in a timely fashion. Her commitment to making the event a success was obvious and we truly appreciated Amy's business approach and responsiveness. Amy always followed through and that gave us a high degree of trust that choosing Yazz Events was the right decision for us. Our DJ was Dale and we appreciated Dale's level of detail leading up to the event and for taking the time to have a phone call with us prior to the event to ensure the details were all covered. Dale kept things on schedule and worked well with the other vendors. The Yazz Events' portal also helped arrange the timeline and make the song selection representative of our taste. Amy, thank you so much for being such a pleasure to deal with and for always acting with such a high degree of professionalism. THE BEST IN THE BIZ
I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!

Must have DJ!
We had attend a wedding with Yazz Events' DJ playing and it was absolutely amazing, we knew we needed them at OUR wedding. We worked with Amy DJ Dale who are fantastic to work with. Our guests raved about the music (we had Spanish and English music) and kept people on the dance floor all night. DJ Dale went above and beyond for us- between meetings and final walkthroughs. We felt so taken care of. Highly recommend booking them for your next event!

Amazing Wedding Music
Amy truly made our wedding extraordinary with a violin/cello duo. The music was amazing and had everyone in tears as this Kansas gal walked down the aisle to Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Great DJ!!
Dale and Amy were amazing throughout the whole wedding planning process! We could not have asked for a better entertainment team. Dale completely understood our vision, executed flawlessly and made the dance floor epic! Both Amy and Dale went out of their way on wedding day to ensure everyone was taken care of and everything went according to plan. Couldn’t recommend them more!
