Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos

The day of our wedding we were caught by surprised when the piano players we were originally told would be there was not there. The new piano player (Jaclyn) never came up to introduce herself so half the time we didn't know who she was. It rained leading up to our ceremony and your team was AMAZING waiting out the storm. We did not get any pre ceremony music but were okay with that because of the rain.  When I (the bride) was walking down the aisle, the wrong note was very noticeably played. I totally understand mistakes happen, but as someone who plays the piano, I feel like you get to the point of rehearsing where it's muscle memory. The note was very noticeability off and in videos we have and definitely turned the attention away from the bride and the moment.  During cocktail hour, we explained multiple times throughout he calls we had that we wanted the music to be sung, not just the piano playing. Multiple times we walked by, they were not singing. The speakers were so quiet, no one could hear the music being played. Even during our first dance, it was hard to hear the music being played. No one could hear the introductions, etc. We had a very special song played that no one heard since the speakers were so quiet. During dinner, no one could hear the speeches because the speakers weren't loud enough. This lead to people talking over the speeches. During the parent dances, as the bride explained on the phone call leading up to the wedding, the dance with her mom was a surprise. She reminded the piano players this and they started to announce the grooms dance as a surprise which lead to awkward pauses and the bride having to correct.  No music was heard until the dj portion.  Gabe was great with playing the songs on the DJ and was very open to feedback regarding the songs we wanted played and when. It just felt like we paid for a very expensive DJ service and not live music.

We hired Felix and Fingers on a recommendation from the manager at the venue we booked. We were having a New Year’s Eve wedding and wanted something a little more fun/different than a typical band. Dueling pianos brought the live vibe and also the DJ vibe. It was perfect for our daughter’s New Year’s Eve wedding. Thank you to our wonderful players! We first attended a wedding with Felix & Fingers and knew before we were engaged that we needed them at our wedding! They brought the energy that kept everyone on the dancefloor all night and played all of our favourite songs. We highly recommend adding the drummer and sax to fully round out the sound. Both pianists added so much flare and excitement to the songs like the classics (Piano Man, Love Story, etc) that it kept it fresh and original. If anyone is looking for live music that is wholly unique and fun definitely book F&F!!

Our "splurge" for the wedding was live music - a non-negotiable for my husband and I. We had experienced Felix and Fingers at a wedding of our friends and knew we needed them for our wedding as well. The dance floor was full all night! They played multiple genres by request. We received endless complements on the entertainment. The sound quality was excellent and we were able to use their equipment for speeches etc. The communication from start to finish was incredible and their day of involvement to provide the best experience was second to none. They worked SO well with all of our chosen vendors and were the easiest decision we made and best part of the day!
