We are based from Janesville, Wisconsin but willing to travel from the areas of North Chicago, Illinois to Madison, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WIsconsin, and more! MARLON AND THE SHAKES is a Chicago band that offers up a perfectly mixed musical cocktail of funk, pop and rock music. The group has delivered party vibes to countless stages at private events, clubs, and festivals across the country since 2018. Lead singer and musical director Marlon Longid has been performing for Chicago audiences for over 25 years. Marlon recently formed his production company MATS Productions to accommodate the need for better stage productions for private events. I got into DJing by accident. After learning that working as an Industrial Engineer in a fortune 500 company didn't bring me much fulfillment, a friend suggested I join his DJ company. His company supplied DJ services for over 250 weddings a year! After my first wedding gig I was hooked. It gave me purpose, and an outlet I never knew was possible. I quickly became the most requested DJ in the company and within my market. Now I DJ on my own, and I'm so blessed to be able to curate an atmosphere of joy where families can connect.
