One thing that’s helpful to know as a future bride is that their model is a little different—you book through the company and are paired with hair and makeup artists rather than selecting them directly. Because of that, I highly recommend sending photo inspiration in advance, as I suspect that helps guide artist pairing and expectations.
My first hair and makeup trial unfortunately wasn’t a fit for me, but I really appreciated that Windy City Glam covered the cost of retrials and worked with me to get me paired with a different team. My second trial still wasn’t 100% there, but I made a few adjustments at home afterward and sent detailed feedback through their coordinator (communication goes through the company rather than directly with the artists, which felt a little unusual at first but ultimately worked).
By the wedding day, they came fully prepared with all of my notes and feedback. Hung (hair) and Nicole (makeup) absolutely delivered. They were both so pleasant to work with, incredibly receptive to feedback in real time, and continued making small tweaks until I felt completely happy with the final look.
I truly couldn’t have been happier with how my hair and makeup turned out, and they also did a beautiful job with my bridesmaids. Another huge plus was how well everything held up—I danced all night, and both my hair and makeup stayed looking great through the end of the reception.
While the process took a little trust and communication, I really appreciated the team’s willingness to make things right and ensure I felt my best on such an important day.”
