Certified makeup artist Melanie Penera’s love for makeup started young when she was introduced to stage makeup at the Visual Performing Art academy located in the suburbs of Chicago. Her love of makeup soon grew into a passion that helped push her through schooling at The New Age Spa Institute to successfully earning her graduate certifications in makeup artistry, eyelash extensions and airbrush tanning.     Melanie and Jocylynn did my wedding make up and hair for myself and 6 bridesmaids. her make up application is faultless. Hair was perfect. Highly recommend for any occasion.

    I cannot recommend Melanie’s makeup enough. I first met Mel when she did my makeup as a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. As a girl who has been in 8 weddings, I’ve had my fair share of wedding makeup done, and no one compared to Mel. Not only is she easy to talk to, she knows her stuff! As soon as I got engaged I reached out to Mel for makeup. She is easy to communicate with, and leading up to the wedding would send me texts pumping me up and asking if there was anything she could do. I have never felt more beautiful! Mel enhances your features without making you feel like you are over done. Mel also does amazing spray tans! In all, I couldn’t recommend Mel and her team more. I will absolutely be reaching out to her for any of my makeup/tanning needs.

    Melanie and Kailee were the best team to work with! They both made me feel like the most beautiful bride and all of my girls loved their looks too. Melanie was responsive and flexible and even offered a spray tan trial which turned out amazing! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
