How can we make sure my hair and makeup will last all day?

The trial run session is a great test for this. We will discuss your unique skin type, hair texture, and plans for your Chicago wedding day (how long you will be outdoors, possible weather on your date, etc.) and factor this into our choices of products and techniques designed to give you the best longevity. Then we follow up after your trial run to see how you felt about your hair and makeup look at the end of the night. This allows us to make notes of anything we might need to adjust on the wedding day.

Do I need extensions?

We can help you determine this prior to your trial run session. We can make a recommendation based upon your desired end result and your current hair length, texture, and fullness. This can be covered via email.

Question 3

Will I have the same artists for my trial run and my wedding day?

Accepted Answer

Yes! In fact, we like to build a connection with our brides and take notes that allow us to make your hair and makeup look even better on your wedding day than it did at your trial run session!

Question 4

How can we make sure that hair and makeup runs on time?

Accepted Answer

We plan our timelines so each party member has a little space between their hair and makeup appointments. Then if one person takes a little longer it doesn’t set off a chain reaction of all artists running behind. Additionally, it’s key for party members to review the instructions on your beauty timeline to prepare for their appointments and also be present and ready to start at the time of their appointments.

Can you work with my large party?

Yes! Our team can work with groups of up to 21 people.

Question 6

Why do we need to start hair and makeup so early on my wedding day?

Accepted Answer

Your start time is calculated based upon the services your party is receiving and the time you need to be finished. We share the tentative time frame when you book so this topic can be addressed in advance if there’s any concerns. Based upon your party size, you may have the option to reserve additional artists for an added fee and shorten the overall time frame.

Can we get done faster?

Unfortunately, we can’t shorten the length of hair and makeup appointments (or the overall time frame). We need to be able to provide everyone with the level of service and attention to detail that you have booked us for so we can’t cut corners.

I was in a wedding before and my hair and makeup looked so crazy that I didn't look like myself. Can you help me with this?

Absolutely! Our specialty is enhancing natural beauty and making sure that you still look and feel like yourself on your wedding day.

Question 9

What if I don’t like my hair or makeup after my trial run session?

Accepted Answer

You will have the opportunity to give feedback so we can make adjustments during your trial run session to land on a look you love. However, sometimes, it can take seeing a look fully executed on yourself and wearing it several hours to decide that it’s simply not your style. In this case we are happy to schedule a second hair and/or makeup trial for you. Regular rates will apply for this session.
