Hi there! I’m Jacquee. I am a licensed esthetician and freelance makeup artist. I was trained in makeup artistry and hair design at Make Up First in Chicago. My esthetics training was completed at the Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove. So now that we’ve got that out of the way let’s talk about what I can help you with! I’m well versed in all areas of makeup from beauty and bridal to commercial, theatrical, and even special effects. I’m just as comfortable working on a film set as I am working with my brides. I enjoy making people feel good about themselves and I put my all into everything I do.

I am a small business that only accepts one wedding per day. You will get personal attention. I work every wedding myself and only hire same level artists to accompany me. You will never get students or apprentice artists when you hire me.

Airbrush makeup is a light weight makeup applied with an air gun. It produces a thin, even layer of makeup that feels light, provides a smooth finish and is durable. That being said, it is not always the best foundation choice for all skin types. A good artist will determine what method of application will give you the result you are looking for

Silicone based makeups are water resistant, not water proof. There are few makeups on the market that are truly waterproof and these are not typically appropriate for beauty makeup applications. However, if you take care to blot rather than rub any tears/sweat your makeup will last through your event. The mascara used for bridal and event makeup is always waterproof.

No, you will need to reapply eventually. I will provide anyone that receives makeup services with a touch up kit that contains enough lip stick for 2 – 3 touch ups.

I use high end and professional brands of makeup including but not limited to: Bobbi Brown, MAC, Face Atelier, Temptu, LORAC, Bite Beauty, Viseart, Hourglass, etc. I use the best products from each brand. I am constantly trying out new products and revamping my selection as I find new favorites.

Yes a trial is mandatory for all bridal clients. It makes the wedding day much less stressful when you already have a plan and feel comfortable with your artist.

There are a couple reasons that the bridal makeup and hair fee is more expensive. The first is that extra time and detail is given to the bride. I allow more time on the wedding day for your styling so that you will have time to review and make any changes to the look without feeling rushed. Also, the bridal fee includes time spent before the wedding preparing contracts, etc.

Jacquee was very pleasant to work with. I was very satisfied with her work and I felt like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day. She also did my mom’s and sister’s hair and makeup and they both loved her. Her professionalism exceeded my expectations. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful work!
Jacquee and Kristen did such an amazing job on our hair and makeup! We are so happy with how it all turned out. The touch up kits they provided were so generous and had everything we needed and more in them! They were such kind people who were so fun to start our wedding day with! Highly recommend!

Jacquee was AMAZING!
Jacquee was very easy to work with from the day we first got in contact. I am not knowledgeable about make-up so her guidance was appreciated throughout the entire process, and she never made me feel bad or judged about anything during our meetings/communication. She and her colleague on the wedding day were very professional and friendly, plus the looks turned out great. I would book Jacquee again in a heartbeat!

A great time with a great lady
Jacquee was my first and only makeup trial. She did such a good job for on my bridal hair and makeup and she also did my mom's hair and makeup. My mom felt so beautiful which was very important to me. She's also super easy to talk to and enjoyed having her around while getting ready for the wedding day of.

Beautiful results
Jacquee did a wonderful job, and she was very patient with the different styles I was considering at the trial. I only booked her for my hair for the Bride and 3 other people. The results were wonderful and everyone really liked their hair. It also lasted all day, and she even prepared a goodie bag to make sure the hair lasted even through the dancing!!
