At the time the contract is signed, a $200 non refundable deposit is taken which will secure your wedding day as well as book your trial.
The $200 deposit is non refundable but we’re not satisfied unless you’re satisfied. If you were unhappy with the original outcome of your trial or the artists, Pin Me Up would provide a complimentary retrial with the same or completely new artists.
Yes. You’ll be receiving the same service for the trial as well as the wedding day.
Unfortunately no. We do require a contract prior to scheduling a trial in order to guarantee artists for the date you’ve requested. If for some reason you weren’t completely satisfied at the trial we would work with you directly to figure out the next steps.
We advise booking your trial 2-4 months prior to the big day. At the time of the trial we like to finalize headcount, timing and all day of details, so having trials too far advance prevents accuracy.
You’ll be with the artists for about 2 hours if your trial is for both hair and makeup. You’ll be working with your hair and makeup team and they want to make sure you absolutely love your look!
While we are happy to travel on your wedding day we do not travel for trials. At the trial we will be collecting important information, working at a proper work station and with proper lighting for your best wedding day plan.
The final balance for all services plus gratuity will be charged to the single credit card on file the Wednesday prior to the event. At this time, final headcount is due.
As our freelancers provide the same level service regardless of the situation we do not offer discounts for our services regardless of date, location or headcount. ​
We are proud to say that we do not have any minimums for services!
Depending on headcount and timing, our rough rule of thumb is 1 artist per every 8 ladies needing services. Adding additional artists may accrue a fee. Accommodations can be made on an individual basis.
As we are a freelance agency with 50+ artists, individual portfolios are not available; however, please check out our social media for images of our work! IG HANDLE: @pinmeupchicago
Please allow 30 minutes per person per service. Ideally, don’t have an individualized schedule. If your party is ready to go with dry hair and clean faces, the getting ready process will be quick and seamless! Our skilled artists are there to walk the party through every step of the way.
Technician parking is required. We do not charge a travel fee as long as the services are within 30 miles of our salon, rather we charge parking for the artists. If you’re getting ready at a hotel, valet parking is required. If you’re getting ready in a home, street/metered/parking garage parking is required. Check with your hotel as many hotels will compensate vendor parking.
Gratuity is not included in the service price but we do add 20% gratuity to the grand total on the contract which will be taken care of the week of the wedding. No funds or gratuity are taken on site.
Airbrush versus traditional makeup is a personal preference. Airbrush makeup is a bit more full coverage whereas traditional makeup is a bit more natural. Your makeup artist can assess your skin and give recommendations at the time of your trial.
Our glam squad uses the highest quality products in their professional kits to create flawless looks for brides and their parties
Yes! If extensions are needed for your look there are clip ins or semi permanent options available. A hair extension consultation can also be scheduled during or before your trial if you think the style you’re trying to achieve will require extensions. For bridesmaids, please make sure the extensions are completely dry and combed through.

    Highly recommend

    We booked Pin Me Up Chicago for our wedding day hair and makeup, and we're so glad we did. From our first conversation through the big day, their team kept things simple and straightforward, answering all our questions without any confusion. The makeup and hair work was truly excellent—everything stayed put through the ceremony and dancing, and I felt beautiful in every photo. They came to our location early and worked efficiently so we weren't stressed getting ready. The whole experience felt smooth and professional, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy your morning before walking down the aisle. I'd recommend Pin Me Up Chicago to anyone looking for a beauty team that knows their craft and makes the process easy.

    best hair and makeup!

    The hair and makeup team at Pin Me Up was absolutely amazing. Jessica, my makeup artist, made sure I loved every part of my look during my trial and was more than happy to adjust anything I wasn’t completely sold on. Dana even hopped on a call with me after my first trial to make sure everything was looking exactly the way I envisioned, which I appreciated so much. The responsiveness, communication, professionalism, and kindness from every team member were incredible throughout the entire process. They made me feel completely comfortable and confident, even going into my wedding day hair appointment without having done a trial beforehand. Despite not having a hair trial, my hair turned out absolutely phenomenal, and I could not have been happier with the final look. Pin Me Up also offered the best pricing for touch-ups during the wedding day, which was such a huge plus. Truly could not recommend a better hair and makeup team for your wedding day!

    Mimi and Frenchie were great!

    Mimi and Frenchie were both great to work with for my wedding. I had two trials with Mimi, my make up artist, and Frenchie, my hair stylist. After the first trial, I had a lot of feedback for them and Dana was great at reaching out and facilitating that feedback. She was able to reassure me that Mimi and Frenchie are the right fit and that we just needed some clarity on what it was that I wanted. Once that was cleared up, my second trial went so much better! Mimi was able to do the full glam I was looking for and Frenchie, the queen of Hollywood waves, did a great job. I really loved the way I looked after my second trial and I was feeling myself which is what you want to feel as a bride. On the wedding day, I really loved getting ready with them and we chatted and sang to songs together. It was a great morning on the most important day of my life! Thank you to Mimi and Frenchie for making me feel so beautiful on my big day and to Dana for checking in frequently and ensuring it all went well. I recommend Pin Me Up, especially when the competition feels unnecessarily expensive!

    An incredible team for a perfect day!

    Kim (hair) and Taylor (makeup) from Pin Me Up absolutely knocked it out of the park for our June 2025 wedding. They were so warm and personable and made our entire bridal party look and feel so stunning. Scheduling my trial was super easy, and Pin Me Up’s schedulers and our artists were so communicative leading up to our wedding day. Having them check in to confirm timing and talk through details took a lot of stress out of our day. Kim and Taylor were such a dream to work with and I am so thankful for their hand in making our day perfect!
