Toast & Jam DJs specialize in making people dance by working closely with our clients to create customized playlists that reflect their tastes. We reject line dances, props, and other gimmicks in favor of perfectly planned and well-timed soundtracks that appeal to every partygoer. That means no Hokey Pokey and no Chicken Dance. At Toast & Jam, we believe that a thoughtful mix of pop favorites, hip-hop bootyshakers, Motown classics, and timeless standards are fun and self-respecting alternative to those embarrassing and played-out dancefloor clichés.

Our DJs are super-talented and totally music-obsessed, but we aren't music snobs. We understand that it’s your wedding, and it’s all about what you want. We aren’t club DJs who took a wedding “for the money.” We love weddings and are honored to be a part of the big day. We work closely with your other vendors to make sure that the event goes off perfectly.

    Chris rocked our worlds!!! DJs can make or break a wedding, so going into planning we were pretty nervous about this decision. Our Coordinator recommended Toast & Jam and boy are we glad she did. From our first meeting with Chris we knew we were in good hands. He was able to effortlessly blend our wildly eclectic music tastes and hyper-specific cultural songs without batting an eye. He also smoothly MC'd the whole night. At least 50 of our guests have told us that he was the best wedding DJ they've ever had, so we know we are not biased!! His ability to read a crowd is unreal. The photobooth was also a huge hit. If you're considering it, DO IT, it was a perfect keepsake for guests. We cannot recommend highly enough Chris and Toast & Jam, our wedding was a certified banger.

    I’m so excited to write this review! Toast & Jam is the BEST Chicago wedding DJ!!! Toast & Jam came recommended to us by our venue, Firehouse Chicago, and after pricing vendors and our priorities–a lit dance floor and amazing MC, we went with Toast & Jam! I am so glad we did, DJ Kate was incredible to work with and she really understood us and our vision. We love music and it's a central part of our relationship so we had some must plays for different parts of the day, such as walking down the aisle to The Cure, Friday, I’m in Love for our Friday wedding. She added in music that was exactly right for the moment that would make me look over at her with a big smile and thumbs up, that is how on point she was! Our dancefloor was packed and my husband and I danced for the entire 3 hours, it was exactly what we wanted and our guest had the best time! We are so grateful to Toast & Jam for really understanding the wedding DJ skill and going above and beyond to deliver the best time and memories. Thank you DJ Kate and Toast & Jam for being a part of the best day of our lives!

    DJ Chris was incredible for our wedding last week! He had a playlist that fit perfectly into what vibe we wanted and the transitions were so so good. He also helped us before the dance floor opened up, giving us helpful thoughts and recommendations on first dance order, things for the officiant to say, etc, which was really helpful! 100/10 recommend

    Toast and Jam DJs were absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding. From the very first call, they were responsive and understanding, taking the time to understand our vision for the music and vibe we wanted to create. On the day of, they nailed it - the dance floor was packed all night as they played the perfect mix of songs to get everyone up and dancing. We were particularly touched when Miguel dedicated the first song to us to open up the dance floor, which kicked off an unforgettable night of celebration. Their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for making our day special was evident throughout. We couldn't recommend Toast and Jam DJs more highly.
