I'm a 34-year-old husband to Samantha, our son Silas, our soon-to-be daughter Fiona, and our wiggler companion Moxie. I've been a wedding photographer for 11 years, having photographed over 300 weddings and countless other sessions! My hobby is also my job, and you bet my wife loves that, haha. I am also a stay-at-home dad, a philatelist, a Lego freak, and a craft beer nerd, and we have an orange fridge, haha.
As a hybrid photographer, I combine the timeless beauty of film with the flexibility of digital photography and specialize in Super 8mm film videography. With a BA in Photography and experience as a photojournalist for 12 newspapers, I’ve developed a strong foundation in storytelling through imagery. Since 2014, I’ve blended my artistic eye with a documentary approach, capturing authentic moments with creativity and precision. From my unique style to my vibrant personality and professionalism, I provide an experience as unforgettable as the memories we’ll create together. Not only all of that, but 300+ weddings have solidified my expertise.

This is the "essential" package for couples seeking the "EAP" experience. The eight hours included is an excellent amount of time to cover the most critical parts of the day and document the day without stress. Throughout the day, I will also use 35mm film cameras and Polaroid film to document your special day alongside my standard gear.

The ten hours included provides me more time to photograph even more details, whether it be the "flat lay" with the bride and groom's jewelry, more time to document the getting ready moments, or more time at the reception, you would not be disappointed with your love story I can tell in my photographs. I will also use 35mm film cameras and Polaroid film to document your special day alongside my standard gear.

Our FAVORITE hire! Would hire in every lifetime!!
If you are looking for your wedding photographer: stop. You’ve found him. Erik was hands-down our favorite vendor, and I would hire him a thousand times over. From the very first message, his energy, warmth, and passion for his work stood out. When we compared full galleries from other photographers, his absolutely blew us away with every detail, every candid, every bit of light and color was exactly what I envisioned. My dad (a longtime advertising professional) reviewed them too and said, “You’d be crazy not to hire this guy.” He was right. Working with Erik felt effortless. Our engagement session could have been a stressful day, but he and his second shooter, Ross, rolled with everything, made it fun, and delivered stunning images so quickly we were able to use them in our wedding décor and guest book. By the time the wedding came, we felt completely comfortable in front of the camera and Erik felt like another close friend in our bridal party. He was calm, reassuring, and so easy to be around. If I had a question or needed grounding, he was right there with gentle guidance. The final gallery? Absolutely flawless. Every big, emotional moment. Every quiet, unspoken glance. Every little detail I didn’t even notice in real time, all preserved with such artistry that I can relive our day exactly as it felt, only better. Erik has an uncanny gift for being everywhere without ever intruding, for making people feel at ease, and for capturing the heart of a moment in a single frame. My family, my bridal party, even my guests still talk about him months later — not just about his photos, but about him. He’s more than a photographer; he’s a calming presence, a joy to be around, and a true master of his craft. In every lifetime, in every version of this story, I would choose Erik. Booking him was one of the best decisions we made for not only our wedding day, but for the rest of our lives we’ll thankfully have his work! I will forever be grateful that it was him behind the camera on the most important day of our lives.

We are not from the area so the first time we officially met Erik was the day of our wedding. From the moment we met, Erik’s energy was calm and confident. I can’t think about my perfect day without thinking about how incredible he was. As soon as he arrived, the energy in the room lifted. He was funny, cracking jokes and also very focused in the details. Without even realizing it—or maybe he did—he helped me carry the mental load of the day. It felt like he knew his role was more than just capturing beautiful photos. He reminded me to be present and to truly live in each moment. He also went with the flow and made any and all of my requests happen like taking photos yards away or running up flights of stairs for that perfect picture. And let me just say—it was 100 degrees outside. Yet there he was, juggling multiple cameras and bags, fanning my dress, offering me his personal fan, and handling all the little things that only someone who is a true master of their craft would even think to do. Choosing Erik as our photographer was, hands down, one of the best decisions we made. He is truly one of a kind. My husband and I are incredibly grateful for his time and are honored to have had him photograph our day.

Erik made our wedding day incredibly fun and joyful, keeping us laughing and smiling the entire time. His efficient and organized approach ensured the photo portion of the day went seamlessly. The quality of Erik's work as a photographer is unparalleled. He truly captured the "light, bright, airy" aesthetic that I loved when I first started researching different styles. He is highly detailed oriented which is a must for somebody like me who really notices all the little details. He went above and beyond by traveling to our engagement shooting location all the way in Madison, WI! When it came to shooting the big day, Erik orchestrated everything perfectly including calming me down during a stressful moment, making us all laugh, and capturing all the "good angles". From the first few photos I received, his work made me feel absolutely beautiful. When I shared with others, the first thing they commented was: "Wow, Your photographer KILLED it with the wedding photos!" Extremely high quality editing....Erik is worth every penny and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
