About Trio Fratelli

Trio Fratelli

Brothers Trio

It's about the harmonies! Classic favorites for luxury weddings & VIP galas, violin or voice. Cross-generational favorites curated to thrill your friends and grandparents at the same time. Proven at hundreds of events.

After your elegant ceremony, we can turn up our amps to power a reception -- even transform into a full wedding band with MC duties. But always with a classy vibe. We enhance even the simplest songs with rich three-part harmonies. Think Bridgerton, but capable of power. Unlike a sleepy quartet, our tighter harmonies deliver greater emotional depth, and we always perform on our feet to ramp up the energy when needed (also using less space). PA system included for larger events -- and you're welcome to use our extra mics to run everything.

    Wow—just WOW!!!

They made our party feel like a concert! Total pros. Classy, harmonies that gave me goosebumps, then a high-energy dance vibe—but so elegant! They even performed new songs on the fly when I asked. Definitely want them again!

    Beautiful harmonies!

Seems like they can play anything!  They added the perfect touch to our daughter’s reception – even arranging and performing her favorite song. After seeing them perform elsewhere, we knew we had to have them!  They made the ambiance soooooo elegant!

You're so kind. Creating that trio arrangement for Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" turned out better than we expected. Those harmonies have become a huge crowd-pleaser ever since! Thanks for requesting it!

Most bookings are 3 months to a year in advance, but occasionally an event squeezes in with less than a week's notice. Despite a busy schedule, as brothers in constant contact we can coordinate quickly for "emergency music" to rescue events from scheduling problems. The records are held by a lucky corporation needing gala music just 3 hours in advance, and a senator needing a surprise performance for a party in progress! That one can never be beat, but to see if your date is available just ask.
Yes, even exotic locations without electricity. Our robust, battery-powered PA system allows us to perform virtually anywhere. The only limitations are the same ones that would create issues for your guests. For example, violins are expensive and made of wood, so rain and snow are obviously out, and temperatures below 55 degrees Fahrenheit can slow down our fingers, but we do bring hand warmers just in case. Approach freezing and you may need your contingency plan anyway. In any case, we excel at making outdoor events both easy and elegant, even at isolated locations.
Violins are powerful, but we always come prepared with a PA system in case the acoustics of the room change as it fills with guests, or if your venue is large but has a weak PA system, or if we're outdoors and the wind picks up. Whatever happens, we're ready. This peace of mind comes at no extra charge. With elegant speakers capable of 120 decibels and 11 hours of internal power, we also don't need wall sockets or power cords. This allows us to set up virtually anywhere, even a secluded forest, golf course or beach, which means that you can too. And with the assurance that everything can be heard by your guests.
Yes. Since we already bring the system, you are welcome to use our extra microphones to officiate your event for no extra charge. It expands to accommodate several hundred people. If needed, we can also handle MC duties and announcements, or share that task with your event's leaders, whether on a live stage or an intimate VIP gathering. For corporate events and wedding receptions, we can also function as your live band handling DJ duties to manage the flow of the event with awards, recognitions, etc.. The main difference is the dignity preserved with high entertainment.
Unlike a string quartet, we don't need chairs or sprawling space for multiple music stands, lighting, etc. We perform standing up and share a single iPad Pro on a tripod. No bulk, no paper, no fuss. Even the most crowded VIP receptions are a breeze. We can even perform together at a podium. If any hiccups arise at your event, we adapt on the fly by relocating within seconds to wherever you need us, then resume playing immediately. We are compact, self-contained and nimble. At some point we might ask for a restroom . . . that's about it. Our job is to enhance your event while reducing your stress.
A quartet is just a cello and viola added to the pair of violins that already carry the melody. As a trio we first assign those lower parts to our deepest violin, often a special “viola” with an extra string stolen from a cello for bass. Then we adjust the key of a song for the best sound. Then we tighten the harmonies (just like our acapella vocals) to enhance the sweeter emotions of a song, but still boosting the low end. Finally, we always perform on our feet, which allows us to fully put our hearts into each song. We’re not saying that string quartets are always boring by comparison, but we won’t stop you from saying it after your event.
Our aesthetic is “zero visual noise.” We’re obsessed with making our tech as invisible as possible, discreetly blending into any setting. This makes our performances as sleek and photogenic as the luxury venues hosting us. For example, we've streamlined our PA system by eliminating power and speaker cables. Instead, we use hidden internal batteries and connect it all wirelessly, even for larger events with our speakers surrounding the audience. Finally, we blend all gear into the shadows by eliminating the chrome, choosing matte black, and placing everything strategically. No detail goes unnoticed.
We’re trained in several vocal styles but we especially enjoy performing rich acapella harmonies, similar to Vocal Point and Home Free. Beyond the stage, this can enhance weddings, private parties and memorials with songs that fit the occasion. Political and sporting events usually request the National Anthem, which we perform either by voice or violin—or beginning on violin, then switching to voice using the inspiring lyrics of the final verse. This more memorable option has become especially popular for honoring military service, but increasingly today for any event.
Frankly, this comes from either seeking attention by over-embellishing, or they’re just lazy and oversimplify. Sheet music publishers are the worst, typically dumbing down arrangements so the average quartet can avoid long rehearsals, especially when using substitute players. Also, the narrow training of most quartets rarely fits other music genres. The result is bland. Or it's cringeworthy. This is why we arrange nearly every song ourselves. If it warrants being a favorite, then the effort to capture its soul is worth it. When we finally add our harmonies, the proper energy and elegance remain. Listen to our samples and see if you agree.
We built our repertoire for cross-generational appeal. Aside from classical favorites, the broadest crowd-pleasers are hits from decades ago that gained renewed popularity in films and other media. Movie scores enjoy broad appeal as well, as do culturally iconic songs with long track records. We do newer hits too, of course, but most of our songs were chosen only if loved by at least three generations. Tailoring a list specifically for your event is part of our planning process, and we'll consult with you at any time on this.
Since we're constantly mastering new songs, just ask to see if what you want is already in our pipeline for the year. If so, we can bump yours forward at no extra cost, as long as there's enough time before your event. Otherwise, each custom song needs to be arranged for a quality performance, then learned. The cost will depend on the complexity of the piece, usually between around $80 and $160. Meanwhile, first check our website, then ask about our upcoming songs.
Honestly, we’d rather leave that to comedians. The dignity of your event comes first. We can be fun and switch to a more casual, light-hearted stage presence, but we keep that precisely in the lane of the bookings that want it. We always make sure we understand the proper tone of your event.
Although we’re a premium service, we do have a heart—especially for nonprofit charities and causes we support. Sometimes even for weddings, memorials, and other private celebrations. We find a lot of enjoyment in helping people make their event special, so it can’t hurt to ask. If there’s time in our schedule, we’ll do what we can to work within your budget.
Great! To reserve a date we'll need a signed agreement and a 50% deposit. (Exceptions can be made for select corporate clients.) If you're not quite ready, we can still start the brainstorming and planning process with you. Have more questions? We're happy to chat.
