Rich in history with a perfect riverside setting, the Historic Hotel Baker is poised to delight an entirely new generation of those who appreciate the splendor of the past. The exquisite architecture is reminiscent of the glamorous era of the decadent 1920’s. Whether you are planning on inviting only a few guests to share in your special day, or are hosting a gala fit for the Gatsby’s, the Historic Hotel Baker will make your day truly memorable and utterly magnificent.

The Ellwood House Museum is an historic estate that offers three unique rental spaces on ten acres of gardens and grounds. These include the first floor and terraces of elegant Ellcourt, an historic Tudar Revival house built in 1899. It is available from March through mid-November and is our only venue where alcohol service is permissible. Ellcourt has an hourly rate of $350. The grounds also offer a choice of three garden spaces for wedding ceremonies. Garden rentals are available mid-May to mid-October and include an inclement weather backup location in the Hearthside Room of the Visitor Center. The rental rate is a flat fee of $500. The third venue is our more casual space, the Hearthside Room, which includes access to the galleries. It is available March through mid-November, and the rental rate is $75 per hour. All venues are limited to 80 people, and both indoor venues have full kitchens.

The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000 square feet of space. 250 people seated or 200 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.
