I have a lot to offer, and I do things differently than most other photographers. More than anything, I want to make sure I’m the perfect fit for your wedding. My style and approach is a generous mix of documentary and editorial-style portraiture. For the majority of the day, I stay very hands off, focusing 100% on the story. You won’t find me asking you or your friends to stage or recreate moments, but you will find me ready to capture those moments before they even happen. During portraits, it’s a little different. I give plenty of direction, working to bring creative ideas and poses to make images that are as unique as the people in them.

I’m humbled to say that I have documented over 150 events - ranging in size from just a few guests to more than five hundred and have been blessed with the opportunity to shoot at many of the Chicago areas most sought after venue. However, no matter the size of the wedding, location of the venue or the couples budget - my goal with every wedding is to create a body of work that shows you both in love, surrounded by your family and friends, sharing tears, laughter, and celebration.

    Thomas Doggett has been photographing me (Mckenna) since I was 13 years old, and every time he delivers phenomenal results! He did pet portraits with me and my horse, my senior graduation photos, my COVID backyard wedding and the larger reception later on, and every single event was absolutely magical.     Thomas hands down is one of the nicest photographers I know.
