A Caution for Future Brides
I had a very positive experience with my hair and makeup artist initially. She was very personable, and my mom and I were both very pleased with the results of my trial. Unfortunately, my experience on my wedding day was very different. Communication was difficult at times leading up to the wedding, particularly when trying to get the contract finalized. Since my wedding was outside of the Cities and required an extremely early start time, I had also made arrangements for a hotel stay so she could be there on time. On the morning of my wedding, we arrived at the church for our scheduled start time, and she was nowhere to be found. I called multiple times and did not receive an answer. I became concerned and contacted the hotel, only to find out that she had not checked in. She eventually texted me, but there was no follow-up or effort to find someone who could come in her place. Thankfully, because it was the middle of wedding season and we were in a rural area, my family was able to step in and help with everyone's hair and my makeup. I am incredibly grateful for the people who came together for us, because their support kept this situation from affecting our wedding day. I did not hear from her again until around noon the following day, which felt more like a general check-in than an acknowledgment of what had happened. To this day, I am still not sure why she did not show up or what happened that morning. I have taken some time to reflect before writing this review because I don't want to bash anyone's reputation. However, I do feel future brides deserve to know that situations like this can happen, even when things seem positive during the trial and planning process. For such an important day, having vendors you can trust and rely on is incredibly important. If I were planning a major event again, I would make sure I had a stronger level of confidence and trust in my vendors before booking. My biggest advice to other brides would simply be: trust your gut and have a backup plan, especially when working with vendors traveling to your wedding. I would not book again.

Beautiful!
Sara was awesome to work with. We kept each other in the loop with ideas though out the process. She work with me to keep some of my favorite features highlighted. We came up with a hair style that showed off my long hair and I really wanted my freckles to show and she was able to do that perfectly. I loved that the make up and hair stayed all night. We got married outside the in August and even with the heat my makeup stayed perfect. I didn’t look or feel cakey at all and I still looked like myself. She was able to highlight our features and make me and my friends and the moms look wonderful.

Do not hire will not show up
DO NOT HIRE SARAH SHE NEVER SHOWED UP! The amount of stress this person caused was terrible. I spend 2 hours calling and figuring out who will do makeup and hair for 8 people. No answer ever and no reason for not showing up. A videographer was hired based on her schedule and we couldn’t even use that time with them. She does not feel she should reimburse for the videographer. She does not even know the stress it caused and time it took me, the mother of the bride to figure this out. Because of that I could not spend time with my daughter the morning of her wedding. I have received AI responses from her. If you want a great day DO NOT HIRE HER! I am not joking she truly did not show up and no decency to answer her phone or messages that morning.

Amazing Artist
From our first conversation with Sarah at Studio x Sarah, we knew we had found the right person for our wedding day. She responded quickly to every question and gave us clear answers about what to expect, which made the planning process so smooth. Sarah traveled the distance to do our hair and makeup at an early morning time, and she even added extra people to our session with barely any notice—she just rolled with it and made it work. Her artistic talent truly shines; she listened to exactly what we wanted and created a look that felt like us but elevated. Sarah is a true artist whose expert skill made us feel beautiful and confident walking down the aisle.
