We are not typical, and our wide offering of services are anything but average. With our knowledge and talent we have changed the game – no cheese, no corny games, just extremely fun wedding celebrations. We are extremely passionate about what we do and the awesome people that we get to work with and we’re always looking to innovate new ways to make your event unforgettable and talked about long after the last dance. Packing dance floors with guests of all ages, orchestrating flawless events from beginning to end, and celebrating life’s biggest moments is what we are all about.

Why us? Organized, Professional, & Experienced. We just know how to ROCK the dance floor. We don't do photo, video, bands, center pieces, etc. Basically, we are not the one-stop-shop everything wedding. We specialized in DJing & we are great at it!

    Best DJ Ever!!!

    Richard was absolutely incredible as our wedding DJ and truly went above and beyond in every way. He played every song we requested at all the right moments throughout the night and handled special requests so seamlessly. The dance floor was packed the entire evening because of how amazing he was at reading the room, creating fun mixes, and making every song transition feel effortless. He did so much more than just play music - he completely created the atmosphere for our wedding. One of the coolest touches was how he took photos of us during golden hour and displayed them on his DJ screen later in the night. The music videos playing on the front of his booth also added such a fun, energetic vibe that everyone loved. On top of all of that, Richard was so kind, fun, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for a better DJ and would recommend him to anyone looking to have an unforgettable wedding!

    Excellent experience!

    We hired Abell DJ Company for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with Chris. From our first conversation, he was organized and easy to work with, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free. We wanted a laid-back vibe without a lot of crowd interaction, and Chris nailed it—he read the room perfectly and kept everyone dancing all night long.     Highly recommend

    Chris was an absolute angel. Our original DJ double‑booked and cancelled on us last minute, and Chris stepped in without hesitation. Within hours of our first call, he had a full portal set up for us to add our favorite songs/playlists to and upload our entire wedding timeline so he could get familiar with every detail. The week before we had a final zoom call to confirm everything was set and ready to roll. He was the most organized DJ I've ever worked with. On the day of, he was personable, fun, and struck the perfect balance of interaction with our guests. He kept a smile on his face the entire night, and our reception was better because of him. My husband and I are beyond thankful for how he turned a stressful situation into one of the best parts of our wedding.

    Bar Mitzvah DJ

    We had a great experience for my son's Bar Mitzvah. Richard had a small group of dancers but kept the energy up for them the whole time! Photo booth ran with ease and we received a digital copy of the pictures very quickly! Such a pleasant company to work with for any event.

    DJ Brian brought the energy to our big day

    We used Abell DJ Services for our wedding at Piazza Messina in Cottleville, MO on 1/10/2026 and they were fantastic. It was very important to us that we had a DJ who actually mixed and read the crowd, not someone who just pressed plan on a laptop. We found a video posted on Instagram of DJ Brian mixing at another wedding and it was the absolute vibe we were going for, so we requested him for our big day, and he did an amazing job! We love energy and he kept the music bopping all night long. Their planning website was so easy to use and fill out what we wanted to hear, and we had a planning call with Brian 2 weeks before our big day to make sure everything was squared away. We would recommend Brian and Abell DJ to anyone looking for a true DJ to run their party!

It depends upon the date. Some clients choose to contract a year or more in advance, while some are comfortable waiting until several months prior. Saturdays are the busiest nights, so waiting too long to hire a DJ (or any service) for a Saturday night might lead to disappointment. We only require a 20% deposit to lock in your date.
We only require a 20% deposit to lock in your date. You are welcome to make payments at any time, and we do accept all major credit cards.
Absolutely. It’s your party! While we are happy to make suggestions, you have total control over the music that is played at your event. We have clients who choose every single song to be played; we have clients who leave it entirely up to us, and everything in between.  You can view songs by selecting the browse our music tab within your online planner.
We are very hesitant to send potential clients to another client’s event (and we will take the same approach in not sending potential clients to your event). Besides the potential inconvenience to our client, there is no guarantee that event you visit will be anything like what you are looking for at your event.
Our DJs come equipped with a microphone and are happy to make announcements and to help coordinate activities at your event, if you want them to. We plan these activities and announcements with you ahead of time so there are no surprises or disappointments at your event.
Absolutely not. Our DJs are trained to be professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. Additionally, they are trained to handle your event to your specifications. If you want a DJ to lead the “Chicken Dance” from atop the speakers, they can do so. If you prefer a more low-key approach, the DJ will gladly accommodate your wishes. At a wedding reception, our DJs are trained to enhance the enjoyment of the event, not to try to be the “star”. A wedding day is about you, the bride and groom, not about our DJ.
